TopTips_Ladbrokes

I PICKED out two Super Singles on West Ham much earlier in the week and I'm fairly confident they'll win at Sunderland.

It is course a different type of game from those they won at Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City but Slaven Bilic's side will be keen to maintain their 100 per cent away record against a side who don't look up to much.

West Ham to win are my Super Single in the Daily Record and are also on my Long Shot aways. There's been a lot of debate on the site recently about whether it's better to take goals bets over WDW.

I agree it's probably easier to pick teams to score … unless that team is Celta Vigo. They beat my Super Single double last night when they were held 0-0 at home to Getafe. Darmstadt to score was the other tip.

riday's the worst day tipping wise for me because all my time is concentrated on finishing my Daily Record pages for a strict deadline but everything pointed to Celta scoring 2+ – their last home match was 4-1 against Barcelona for eaxmple.

It's one out of two Super Singles winners at the start of the month and as I said I'll try to concentrate more on goals bets.

However, on a Saturday (and that will change when the new site is launched soon) I post my predictions from the Record and readers like to see tips for homes, aways, draws and both to score. They're different mediums to be fair – and people who visit the site do so only for tips and chat whereby people are buying the paper for the full package.

So take your pick of these and don't try to do them all. From now on I'll suggest 10 points max on Saturday and the long shots should be treated as fun bets.

Good luck with whatever you do – I'm missing the big Clydebank derby versus Yoker today and treating golf tipster and Hearts fan Ace Venturer and 2+ goals contributor Desmond to a day out at Tynecastle (OK Premierships sponsors Ladbrokes are footing the bill) so I won't be around much.

Hearts feature in my top tips to hopefully they'll do the business against Kilmarnock.

Scott Allott will be looking after things as best as he can but if anyone has a specific query they want me to reply to comment after 9pm.

Last meeting back in April resulted in a 2-1 win for 4th placed Coleraine who have won 5/6 meetings and should do so again.
    GOOD LUCK.

Do i not like that Hearts pick Mr f,1 win last 5 games puts me right off but you’re the expert.
Id put Plymouth,Gillingham or Brighton in replacement myself.
    Good Luck anyways :)

Sean Ireland, if you don’t like them don’t back them – that’s what it’s all about.
I’ll be there to cheer them on so hopefully they’ll win.
Beat Killie 3-2 in the League Cup with a weakened team and will take confidence from drawing at Celtic last week.

Hope your well and unlucky on your super single yesterday. Celta Vigo was a surprise they didn’t even score a goal. It happens like you know.

Ever since you mentioned West Ham I put a little ££££ on it. I’m also confident they will win. Who else do you feel strongly ?

Will put this one up early as no time tomorrow.

    Colchester v Bury:

Both teams top of the division form tables and both playing some great football. IMO both Humes and Flitcroft are belting managers and ones to watch for the future.

The U’s have pulled in 13 points in their last 5 matches and notably have not lost in 10 home games.

    Impressive stuff but…

My lads bring an undefeated away record that stretches back to January and are looking for a 6th back to back win.

One hell of a game tomorrow and in any other situation I would be looking at a war of attrition and low scoring draw…I’m not sure either team has that on their agenda and goals nay well be the way here.

They have Marvin Sordell – we have Leon Clarke…you could do worse than back both to score…15/8 and 7/4 respectively.

The obvious selection is BTTS and has a very solid chance but at 4/6, I’m looking for more value and will stick my neck out:

    BTTS/OVER 2.5 GOALS – 11/10…NAP

    OVER 3.5 MATCH GOALS – 2/1…NB.

    Good luck.

    19:45 Excelsior vs Utrecht – Prediction – 2.2 – Suggested Bets – BTTS @4/7 BTTS and over 2.5 goals @ 20/21

    Key Facts

    * Excelsior have seen BTTS in 6 of their last 8 home league fixtures but not in the last 2
    * Excelsior have scored in 17 of their last 21 at home in the league, including each of the last 9
    * However Excelsior have kept only 3 clean sheets in 27 home league fixtures
    * Excelsior have conceded at least 2 goals in 7 of their last 8 home matches in the league
    * 8 of Excelsiors last 9 at home in the league have seen over 2.5 goals
    * Excelsior have only 5 points from 7 fixtures so far this season
    * Excelsior have won only 1 of their last 16 in the league
    * Utrecht have seen BTTS in 15 of their last 19 away league fixtures including 7 of their last 9 – BTTS @4/7
    * Utrecht have scored in 21 of their last 24 away league fixtures
    * Utrecht have kept only 2 clean sheets in 35 away league fixtures
    * 10 of Utrecht’s last 15 away league fixtures have gone over 2.5 goals
    * Each of the last 5 meetings between these two sides have seen BTTS and over 3.5 goals
    * Last season’s corresponding fixture finished in a 2.2 draw
    * Excelsior have scored 2 goals or more in their last 5 matches against Utrecht in all comps.
    * Utrecht have scored 2 goals or more in 7 of their last 8 matches against Excelsior in all comps.

    Final Verdict – GOALS!

This is a fixture that screams out goals and I can’t ignore the stats on offer that suggest BTTS and over 2.5 goals are very likely.

Utrecht are in better form but they don’t travel well and I fancy we will see a repeat of last season’s 2.2 draw so I’m going for BTTS @4/7 and BTTS and over 2.5 goals @20/21

    Saturday – Premier League

West Brom To Score – 12:45PM
    Norwich To Score – 3:00PM

    EVS @ Co-ral – 4 points

Crystal Palace have kept 1 clean sheet in 24 home games in all competitions. Last clean sheet at home was against Swansea in May on the last day of the 14/15 season. Their only clean sheet before then at home was against Leicester on the 27th of September 2014.

Leicesters last clean sheet was against Sunderland, once again dating back to May the 16th. they have kept 4 clean sheets in their last 30 games away from home in all competitions.

    BTTS & Over 2.5 Goals Double pays 17/4 @ 365 – 1 point

Short week for West Brom with doubts to Olsson an McAuley. Pulis will want to keep things tight at the back after their collapse on Monday but that’ll be easier said than done against a Palace side with an array of talent. 2 of the last 3 h2h have seen this market land.

Leicester have a 100% record for BTTS this season and I can’t see that changing tomorrow against a Norwich side who have scored in 6 of their 7 league games with all 3 home games with a 100% BTTS record.

Sebastian Giovinco broke an MLS record last weekend with 35 combined goals and assists in a single season and will no doubt claim the MVP award come the end of the regular season. However, Toronto still have work to do to secure a playoff place with 4 games left, and they won’t have a better chance to get 3 points with Philly grueling through overtime and a penalty shootout loss, and will kick off again no less than 43 hours later.

Toronto have won both contests this season with the ‘Atomic Ant’ (stupid Americans) scoring in both games. He has 3 goals in his last two games with his last 7 coming at home and I’d expect him to cause some more goal scoring pain on Saturday against fatigued Philly.

    Sebastian Giovinco (Toronto) Anytime @ 19/20 @ 10bet – 2 points

    You can get Giovinco @ 21/20 @ Ladbrokes/Bet-fair.

Bookies must have forgotten the Gooners poor record against the bigger boys in recent years and the fact theyve only beaten United once from last nine meetings. Prices look tempting Mr F.

    • big Al 9 years ago

Agree Sean , arsenal have only won 1 home game in all competitions this season n that was against stoke

  16. big Al 9 years ago

Anyone know why Accrington Stanley are 2/1 at home to Oxford ? Seems a big price considering theve won the last 4 on the trot and are unbeaten at home so far this season

    • paddy 9 years ago

Hi Al, they are a big price mainly because of the teams they have beaten. Oxford will be the toughest test to date that they have played at home. In contrast Oxford have had a much tougher set of fixtures and have proved to be a difficult team to beat. This game will be the yardstick to see how good Stanley actually are at home. 2/1 is still pretty big for the home win, but this one will be a close affair and its a tough one to call.

Met Police are still beset by injury problems for their trip to mid table Hendon. The Dons have not hit the heights of last season yet but a narrow 0-1 reverse on Monday at in-form Kingstonian shows they are going the right way.

Double Hendon up with Dulwich Hamlet (also in the Ryman Premier) as they are home to basement boys VCD Athletic. The visitors have taken just 4 pts out of 33 this season and scored only 6 goals in the process.

The double pays a shade better than evens with Bet365.

I’ve got too many bets out but if the early games go well I’ll be getting on this. Anybody looking for a goalscorer, Hatem Ben Arfa looks to have shed some weight and is finding ‘la net’ on a regular basis scoring a brace in his last two. Nice playing very well scoring 13 in their last 3 and handed unbeaten and second placed St Etienne a 4-1 thumping on their own turf last week with 3 first half goals. I’d be cautious on the outright as they received 2 reds so will have some suspensions to deal with but Ben Arfa available @ 3/1 @ 365.

    Derby pre-match thoughts:

Last week we had a terrible game and typically we were very slow out of the starting blocks.
Ht teamtalk and the 2nd half was much better, we grabbed a goal then shot ourselves in the foot by conceding almost straight away.
Bent and Ince grabbed a goal in the 89th and 93rd minute for a 3-1 but to be honest, we didn’t deserve anything if I was to base my opinion on the first 75 mins.
The team knew we’d had a poor game, they said so in the post match interview, yet we still managed to get all 3 points.
Prior to the Burnley game, I was quite fearful of our midfield but we went toe to toe with them and got a great point against them. Johnson/Baird and Butterfied seems to break up play nicely but at the expense of extra attacking strength. We’re starting to win games ugly, much the same way as Bournmouth and Brentford last year. Their football last season wasn’t pretty to watch but they got the job done, so maybe that’s Paul Clements ” plan b “.
We seem to have a settled back 4 and Christie in right back is getting game time which means he’s playing more like Forsyth did last season – wing back. This gives us an attacking threat from touchline to touchline on both sides.
Martin is still on the goals, Ince is pitching in and then theres the cameo role for Bent. I was glad to see Ince back instead of Weimann, he just has that little bit of extra vision and creativity that Weimann lacks.
Derby are starting to gain momentum now and I said a few weeks back, Derby always have a good October/November. I’ve seen the run in of games and to be honest, there isn’t a game in the next 5 or 6 that we can’t win.

I see a win tomorrow for Derby although at a shortening price of around 7/10 it doesn’t qualify as a super single.

I also like the look of Preston losing to Sheff Wed, a win Nice and a win for Burton. Preston have 2 of their starting 11 banned and in the face of realising this league may be a step too far for them, 2 main players out is going to be massive for them.

    • robbo 9 years ago

    • nathan ufton 9 years ago

I actually meant they had the ability to grab a late goal from 80 mins of stalemate. Bournmouth and Brentford did so well because they knew when to park two lines of four and when they had the chance to grab a goal from a set piece, they’d get one.

Thanks to this site I have become more disciplined in my betting and have steadily gone towards more goals bet than WDW and I think it’s a game changer for me. Instead of putting huge accas on the Saturday coupon I am beginning to narrow down to the best value games and sticking to singles/doubles and maybe the odd Treble. For today for those who like goals and staying disciplined my Double of the Day is Over 2.5 Goals at Norwich v Leicester and Bury v Colchester. Best odds of 3.24 at Betfair. After scouring the full coupon for the last 2 days these two games are the best bets for goals and 3.24 is fantastic value.

    Morning gents

Some Saturday’s it can be tough fin terms of findinh a NAP, this Saturday though that’s not the case! Lots of matches I fancy, it’s just a case of hoping the right matches are selected!

    Peterborough v Millwall KO 3pm

Been no shortage of goals in Peterborughs matches this season, 9 of their last 11 have seen both teams score with all 5 league matches at London road seeing both sides net! Prior to saturdyas 2-3 defeat against form side Bury, they had picked up some good points agaunst Oldham, Walsall and Bradford They welcome a resurgent Millwall side who after an awful start to the season are on a great run! They’ve scored 2 or more in 4 of their away matches this season and will be looking to continue that today! Both sides to score should lead us to goals

Back over 2.5 match goals 4/5 (Stan James) (NAP)

Hi guys, I’m thinking Nice to win at home to Nantes as a great bet with odds of EVS at will hill (maybe better elsewhere, I took them at 23/20 on Thursday). Just can’t see past it and even -1 @ 11/4. Any thoughts from any of you great tipsters? Mr F???
    Thanks in advance

    • MiniDuff 9 years ago

      Marco, just my two cents.

The worry for Nice is they had two sending offs in their last match, Mendy, who is their main defensive midfielder, and Le Marchand who is a centre back. They’ve also conceded in every game so far and i’m not sure how the losses will affect them. I still think Nice will win but personally i’d prefer to be on Over 1.5 Nice goals (13/10) which has landed in 5 of their 8 games.

    @ Evens

  45. nightowl 9 years ago

Not the biggest fan of WDW but you’ve got to appreciate value when it comes along and Wednesday are way overpriced to beat Preston today. I’m getting 23/20 on 365 and we might be longer elsewhere. We’ve won our last 3, they’re without a win in 7.

Forestieri should be back for us after missing the Brentford game with a knock to add to our firepower up front, with both Nuhiu and Joao scoring against the Bees. Carlos seems like he just about knows his best eleven now but the competition for places means nobody is safe if they don’t perform – we have a lot of strength in depth with players like McGugan, Sougou, Palmer and Lopez sometimes not even able to make it on to the bench. Preston are without their main attacking threat in Garner so Stevie May could be partnering ex-loanee Will Keane up top – we tried them as a strike partnership last year and it didn’t work because they were both too similar and lightweight, and if they start then I can’t see them causing Westwood, Turner and Lees too many problems. However, both sides have scored in Preston’s last 5 games and in our last 3 league games at Hillsborough.

Put simply I’m confident that we’ll win at home today against a side that was playing League One football last year – the standard of the Championship improves year on year and I think we’ll be too good for Preston today.

    Back Wednesday 23/20
    Over 1.5 Wednesday goals 5/4

NAP has been posted – awaiting moderation

It would be easy to go daft today given how good today’s card looks, going to stick though to a NAP, two singles and as stated last week, an over 2.5 goals treble from the Scottish leagues

    Dundee v Motherwell

It was a much needed point for Dundee last week as they battled back from 3-1 down to draw against 10 men county! Dundee where all the rage at the start of the seaaon the reality is, Pauk Hartley sides have won just 4 of their last 21 matches! They have a strike force that most sides would be happy with in Hennings, Stewart and Loy and with Managerleas Motherwell visiting today, they’ll be looking to get back to winning ways! It’d difficult to assess how Mothewell will to today, they beat Partick 2-1 last week but let’s be honest, I reckon we could form a team from guys on here and could give Thistle a match! If Baraclough was still in charge is be all over Dundee, instead I’m going to stick with goals! Dundee have yet to keep a clean sheet at home and Motherwell will have gained confidance after last week’s win! Another match where both teams to score has a good chance and it should lead us to goals

Back over 2.5 match goals 39/40 (BV)

AFC Wimbledon v Barnet KO 3pm

Two teams who can’t keep clean sheets but have no problem finding the net meet here! The hosts have seen BTTS and over 2.5 in 4 of their last 5 matches at home with 9 of their last 10 matches overall seeing them score and concede! It’s certainly been entertaining if you’ve been watching Barnet this season! 6 of their last 7 matches have seen both teams score and over 2.5 goals! 5 of those yielded 4 or more match goals and given Barnet have lost 5 away matches in the spin but have managed to net in 4 of those, it bodes well for another AFC Wimbledon home match to see Both teams score and lead us to goals!

Back over 2.5 match goals 20/21 (Boyle)

Wolves fan here and this is what I’m on for our 12:30 against Huddersfield.

We’ve obviously hit some poor form up until midweek. We didn’t get off the mark until the red card and whilst it was a comprehensive victory it was against 10 men.

There’s a lot of issues at the moment with the surprise of Steve Morgan putting the club up for sale and it’s fair to say our form went downhill following the shock departure of defender Richard Stearman.

I’d advise against WDW on this game but do feel confide on a BTTS as whilst we have no issues scoring goals we do concede our fair share.

OJO looked promising coming on as a sub and scoring and I’d be shocked if he doesn’t start today.

Afobe hasn’t scored in recent games despite being close on numerous occasions.

My NB is BTTS (8/11 skybet)

May put small money on ATGS

    AFOBE – 11/8
    OJO – 3/1

But I’d 100% steer clear of the WDW market on this one.

    Good morning all

I have been posting some previews for some of the games around this afternoon, and I will post my final “best bets” in due course.

Here are 2 of the games in Germany that I like for goals.
    Bundesliga

    14:30 Borussia M.Gladbach vs Wolfsburg – Prediction -2.1 – Suggested Bets – Moenchengladbach to win @8/5, BTTS @4/6, BTTS and over 2.5 goals @1/1

    Key Facts

    * Moenchengladbach have seen BTTS in 3 of their last 4 fixtures at home
    * Moenchengladbach have scored in 24 of their last 26 home league fixtures
    * Moenchengladbach lost their first 5 Bundesliga fixtures but they have returned to form, winning their last 2, scoring 7 goals.
    * Moenchengladbach lost 2.1 at home to Man City on Wednesday after missing a penalty and dominating much of the match
    * There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Borussia M.Gladbach’s previous 6 home fixtures.
    * M’glad bach have not drawn at home in 11 months of Bundesliga fixtures, winning 11 and losing 4.
    * Wolfsburg have 12 points from 7 games so far
    * Wolfsburg have only won 1 of their last 4 in the Bundesliga
    * Wolfsburg have scored in 14 of their last 17 away Bundesliga fixtures
    * Wolfsburg have seen 11 of their last 15 away games finish with BTTS including 4 of the last 5
    * Wolfsburg lost 2.1 at Man Utd on Wednesday

Final Verdict – Goals likely in Moenchengladbach

Both sides lost to the two Manchester clubs in midweek but I expect Moenchengladbach to have the better of this one, considering their recent improvements in form and also perhaps with the extra preparation time they would have had for this fixture with Wolfsburg playing in Manchester on Wednesday as opposed to the hosts who had a Tuesday home fixture with City.

Moenchengladbach have scored 7 goals in their last two league games and were awfully unlucky to lose to City while Wolfsburg have had a bad week having been crushed at Bayern, held by Hannover and then that defeat in Manchester.

I expect their will be goals here with Wolfsburg particularly good in the BTTS market and that’s my best bet here @4/6 while I do expect this game has a good chance of going over 2.5 goals and I’ll try that as a combo at 1/1 odds.

    14:30 Hannover 96 vs W Bremen – Prediction -2.2 – Suggested Bets – BTTS @8/15, BTTS and over 2.5 goals @20/21

    Key Facts

    * Hannover have seen BTTS in 11 of their last 12 home Bundesliga fixtures – that’s a 91.66% hit rate
    * 7 of those 12 BTTS fixtures also produced more than 2.5 goals
    * Hannover have scored in 15 of their last 16 home fixtures, and in 19 out of 21 going back 1 year
    * Hannover have lost 5 of their last 6 and have just 2 points this season
    * Hannover have only 1 clean sheet in 15 home fixtures
    * Hannover have won only 2 of their last 25 Bundesliga fixtures. They have drawn 10 and lost 13
    * 12 of Bremen’s last 13 away fixtures saw BTTS incluing each of the last 8. – That’s a 92.3 % hit rate – BTTS @8/15
    * 8 of those 12 also went over 2.5 goals
    * Indeed 19 of Bremen’s last 22 away fixtures have produced BTTS – That’s 86% going back more than 1 year
    * Werder have scored in 27 out of 32 away Bundesliga fixtures, 20 of their last 22 and in each of their most recent 13.
    * However Werder have just 1 clean sheet in 20 away Bundesliga fixtures
    * Werder have drawn 5 of their last 10 away fixtures
    * 10 of the last 12 and each of the last 5 meetings between these two sides have seen BTTS with over 2.5 goals in 9 of the last 12.
    * 15 of the last 16 meetings in Hannover and the most recent 9 fixtures at either venue have seen BTTS since 2005.

Final Verdict – BTTS “Banker” on the cards here

These two teams have a fantastic history of BTTS matches with each other and I can’t argue with either sides form in the market with the stats for both sides suggesting this is as close to a BTTS “banker” as you will find, which is reflected in the short price of 8/15.

Still, I can’t see anything other than goals and I’ll try BTTS and over 2.5 goals @20/21 here as well.

Bet 8 – being disciplined today and only having the one bet. Norwich Leicester over 2.5 goals at 1.72. Goals have been prominent in both these teams games and both will feel they can win and get the 3 points so hopefully we will continue to see the goals flow.
Stats so far – 4 wins, 3 loss, 1 half void.

  72. MiniDuff 9 years ago

I think everyone is on the Norwich and Colchester games, here are my other fancies.

(England) Colwyn Bay v Stamford Over 2.5 Goals (3/4), Stamford Over 1.5 Goals (11/10)
Stamford have been goal machines. 66 Goals in 10 games. 8 of those games have had at least 6 goals, and not one has gone under 4. Stamford have scored at least 3 themselves in 7 of those 10 games and have only failed to score twice on one occasion. Colwyn aren’t as goal-heavy, but every one of their games has seen at least two goals, i’m sure they can up the ante a bit for Stamford’s visit.

(Germany) Hoffenheim v Stuttgart Over 2.5 Goals (1/2)
Both teams have had both teams score in 6 out of 7 matches, and over 2.5 has landed in 5/7 of Hoffenheims and 6/7 of Stuttgarts matches.

(Czech) Mlada Boleslav v Pribrim BTTS (4/5)
Both teams are very capable of both scoring and conceding goals. Pribram are a bit more prolific at home, and did fail to score in their last away game, but the 3 games before that saw both teams score. Mlada’s last 3 home matches have finished 2-4, 5-2, 4-3.

(Belgium) Excelsior v Coxyde BTTS (8/11)
Both teams have seen both teams score in 6 out of 7 matches. Coxyde’s last 3 matches have all finished 2-2 while Excelsior have had 13 goals in their previous 3.

(Scotland) Ayr Over 2.5 Goals (6/4)
This game should see goals and i’m gambling a bit on Ayr scoring 3 or more, which they have only done once this season (5-2 v Stenhousmuir). Cowdenbeath have conceded the same number of goals as Stenny and have been conceded loads of goals away from home (7 and 5 v Dunfermline, 4 v Steny, 3 v Airdrie, 2 v Brechin). Brechin have the worst attack in the league, so hopefully Ayr will be able to go one better than them.

    (England) Gillingham (19/20)
Gillingham have been near perfect at home so far, beating Sheffield Utd and Wigan and then in midweek thumping Fleetwood 5-1. They Host an Oldham side who have drawn all their away games this season but Gillingham should have too much for them and hand them their first away loss of the season.

    (Germany) Rain/Lech Over 1.5 Goals (10/7)
I can’t quite work out why R/L are underdogs at home to the team bottom of the league. They’ve scored twice in 8 of their last 9 matches and i’m happy to get involved here at odds against.

Jordan, regarding the game tomorrow. My opinion honestly is worthless, I’m so bad at calling Arsenal games it’s unbelievable. We were all arriving at the Emirates on Wednesday full of optimism after our win last Saturday and you saw what happened. It wouldn’t surprise me if we pulled out a big team performance and everyone defended properly with a 2-1 win. But likewise if we turn up full of arrogance and try to batter United from the start instead of defending properly and building attacks, then we will be in trouble. Not going to bet on it personally but over 2.5 you’ve posted would be the safest bet in my opinion

Guys I’m on a terrible run at the moment. Half due to bad luck the other due to irrational chasing. (Eg: Backing Messi to score twice against Las Palmas only for him to be stretchered off within 10 minutes!. Or backing Celta to win at 1.5 which I thought was a gimme given their home form and the away form of Getafe. Celta missed 3-4 great chances and it finished 0-0.)

Alot of good games on today – Norwich/Leicester, Wolfsburg, Barca, not sure what strategy I should adopt as my existing one is obviously not working.

Colcherter V Bury Btts (for reasons already mentioned)
Sheffield We’d Win (think they’ll be to strong at home for a newly promoted Preston who are missing some key players)
West Ham (DNB) I think & sincerely hope West Ham win as have them on the nose in other Acca’s however, laws of probability state Sunderland have to get off the ground at some point, there at home & pressure will be on them to perform so this offers some insurance if it’s a draw)

What do you all make if Barcelona away to Sevilla??

Barca played at home Tuesday nite and came from 1-0 down to beat Leverkusen. Sevilla played away on Wednesday in Italy and lost 2-0 to Juventus.

Statistically they were shocking! 2 attempts at goal in 90 mins against a team that are hit and miss so far this season

Barcelona are without Messi & Iniesta but surely they are too strong a side. Priced @ 17/20 away

    Any thoughts welcome . . .

  118. Tom 9 years ago

I’d normally wait till i’ve looked at all the games but two bets are jumping out at me from the corner statistics. All odds are from bet365.

    Bournemouth -2 corners @ even

This has happened in 3 / 4 home games this season and if you look at average corners for each team then the case is even stronger.

5.71 per game for Bournemouth v 3.43 Watford

    West Ham -1 corners @ 2.5

The stat that shouts out to me is that Sunderland average 2 less corners a game across the whole season (3.86 to 5.86) and West Ham average 5.71 per game. Sunderland are also generally rubbish.

West Ham do average 6.57 corners against them a game but when you consider the teams and type of games they’ve played i’m happy to put that aside. Especially at 2.5 to 1.

    Sunderland -1 card handicap – 3.75

Sunderland are 2nd in the card tables with 19 across 7 games
    West Ham are 19th with 7 across 7 (though 3 red cards….)

I don’t normally touch the card market but Sunderland -1 on the card handicap is 3.75. This bet would have won in 4/7 games this season. But considering West ham seem to get red cards or nothing it stands out.

Big odds for a statistically sound bet in what could be quite a badly tempered game if rumours of Dick Advocaat’s departure are to be believe.

    Treble is just under 19-1

I think all are good bets, but as last night showed stats aren’t everything, so I’ve got them as a trixie which should cover 1 of results not going to form.

  119. Harry 9 years ago

Mentioned earlier about an anytime goalscorer double of Ben Arfa for Nice and Moses for Bromley. Both scored 2 last weekend and in blistering form. Harder games for them today than last weekend but to score 2+ each is 250/1 ish @365 and I’ll definitely have a quid on that!!

    Derby make 3 changes:

Thorne in for Baird, Forsyth in for Warnock, Hendrick in for Butterfield.

Thorne back in the side means the boss is going slightly more biased towards an attacking threat rather than a park the bus.

    Carson
    Christie/Keogh/Shackell/Forsyth
    Thorne/Johnson/Hendrick
    Ince/Martin/Russell

Like the look of this lineup, looks like a winner and could well cover a small handicap. We’ve won 3 from 4 games ( which is more wins than we got in our last 19 games last season ). But we’ve only lost one game all season.

Ayr, Berwick, Carlisle and Blackburn all win and both to score.

Reasons? The 8 teams playing are scoring and conceding, Ayr and Blackburn hitting form, Berwick strong at home and Carlisle strong away averaging 2-3 goals per away game.

    Pays 165/1 bet365

The 4 teams to win pays 12/1 bet365

Also for anyone looking for a couple of big price singles/doubles look at:

    DUNDEE UTD 2/1 bet365
Talented young team, lost faith in McNamara this season which lead to poor performances. With him out the door expect a response against lowly Partick Thistle who couldn’t score in a brothel

    HIBS 17/20 bet365
2nd best team in the championship on a great run after a slow start. Away to QOS who have been handy the past few seasons, but this isn’t the case this year and hibs have too much quality

    WEST HAM 7/5 bet365
Not much needs said, great away, crap at home. Sunderland crap home and away.

  133. thechief 9 years ago

Afternoon Guys, hoping for another Saturday like last Saturday.

My Super Single is Gillingham at home to Oldham. They are unbeaten at home and are scoring goals for fun. Oldham haven’t lost away from home and they have had four 1-1s on their travels. They were battered 5-1 at home to Peterborough a couple of weeks back. Gillingham have the firepower with 14 goals scored in 5 home games including wins of Wigan and Sheffield United. They are coming off a 5-1 thrashing of Fleetwood on Tuesday. They are 3/4 various.

Colchester v Bury looks good for goals, and I am taking Colchester O1.5g. They have gone over this line in 4 out of 5 meetings with Bury. Colchester have scored O1.5g in each of their last six games. Bury have conceded 3 to Crewe, four to Fleetwood and 2 against 10 men Peterborough. It should be a good game but for me it is Colchester O1.5g 11/10 Betvictor.

In the goal scorer market I like Diafra Sakho, who I put up last week, he scored then taking him to 3 in 4 games and faces a struggling Sunderland side. He is 15/8 Betvictor.

In the Championship I am taking Jordan Rhodes. Ipswich have one clean sheet away from home and have been involved in some high scoring games. They have tended to be on the right side of the results but did go to Reading recently and conceded five. Rhodes is back amongst the goals with 5 in 4. He is 13/8 Betfair.

Matt Tubbs is a prolific scorer at this level but as struggled so far this season. He is back in the team this afternoon and faces a struggling Yeovil side who have conceded 8 on the road this season. He is 7/5 Coral. Leyton Orients Jay Simpson has scored 8 goals this season and they face a Notts county side who have leaked goals away from home. I take him to score again against a leaky county defence. He is 6/4 Coral.

    Super Single

    Whats wrong with Hearts?

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

Attila, Hearts should have won comfortably today. Blew Killie away for a spell in the first half but one goal wasn’t enough. Have a cracking young player in Nicholson and he was unlucky not to score.
After the break Killie dug in and got their reward after going two up top with Boyd coming on.
And Hearts fans who thought Collum was bad – today’s ref was worse. Had a shocker.

  185. nathan ufton 9 years ago

Clear penalty missed by the ref in the Derby game, we’ve had enough chances to get a third too.

  186. tiptopterry 9 years ago

Sweet.. Qpr to score2+ (21/20)Plymouth to score2+(5/6)*Win…..Now on to my cheeky fiver bet Southampton to score2+against Chelsea (13/5)

  187. nathan ufton 9 years ago

Well it ended 2 nil to Derby, I can’t really moan even though a third would of been the cherry on the cake.

I’ve picked a sheff wed 3-1 win, a burton 1 nil, man city win, Dunfermline over 1.5 goals, just needed to see a goal in the Chelsea game, Nice to score once and news of Hendon to beat the Met and I’d of been smiling, sadly had no cashout during the whole bet and have just logged to see the Met beat them 2 nil… gutted.

    Bet 7: Dinamo Zagreb -2 @ 2/1 (1 unit)
    ——————–

Bit of a speculative one this. Dinamo Zagreb were thumped 0:5 in Munich last week and so may be looking more towards the international break but I think they can go into that with a comfortable win at newly promoted Zapresic. The home side have been decent and their home game generally tight but Hajduk won here 2:0 and I I think the leaders can go one better so chancing the -2 handicap on Dinamo Zagreb.

    Back Wednesday 23/20 WIN
Over 1.5 Wednesday goals 5/4 WIN

    Longer shots:

    Wednesday -1 11/4 WIN
    Wednesday and btts 15/4 WIN

I’ve already backed over 2.5 in Stamford v Colwyn Bay at 4/5 (now 7/10) (WIN) and I agree with Mr F that West Ham should win at Sunderland (LOSE).

I almost tipped Kieran Lee to score anytime at 7/1 on here then deleted that part of my post because I’m rubbish at picking goalscorers… then he goes and gets the first. Ah well. 5 winners out of 6 will do!

Greg so much for being undefeated till Xmas, the red bubble is well and truly burst now. The league will be won before the split again this year. St Johnstone could well finish 3rd if they can tighten up at the back but when your the 2nd highest scorers in the league that gives you a chance :)

Yes they will – although they may make you wait 72 hours to allow the match to be replayed (not that affects goals scored so no point!)

William Hill just paid me in shop despite their computer showing the result as pending – common sense prevailed. Shame Betfair a little slower off the mark!

I picked 6 wins, a loss and a void, luckily I only tipped 3 and they all landed including Burton. You guys need to keep them on your radar.

I also noticed today that Wolves have Adam Lefondre, I don’t think its by accident that they’re finding the net particulary against sides that have recently had some fab wins. I’ve always rated Lefondre – he cost Derby 6 points one season when Reading brought him. Wolves are building something nicely so I’d imagine they’ll be finding their way on to peoples accas very soon.

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

nathan, watched a bit of Wolves’ game and they looked good.
Great goal from McDonald and he deserves his Scotland call-up.

    Yes it was Jordan.

I didn’t say I personally made profit from it, only I was asked to provide a NAP, and I did, and it won.

  287. Jordan 9 years ago

Nick I was making a coffee and missed it. Was it a beauty? Cheers gents.

    • Nick 9 years ago

Huge deflection off of the wall, looked like it was just creeping inside the keepers left post then got deflected into the top right corner!

  288. Jordan 9 years ago

Cheers Nick. I’ll take it :)

    • Nick 9 years ago

Not too sure if the initial freekick was on target, we may have got lucky :D

  289. HullShaker 9 years ago

Over to Peru for some in-play goals…

I once went to the doctors with W*lly Serrato but tonight I’m hoping there’s no A or E needed.

The Peruvians sit 2 up at h/t and notched just on the stroke.

Another team goal pays 4/5 and over 3.5 tg’s goals sits at 7/2…both could be worth a go.

    Good luck

  290. Colin H 9 years ago

Guy do you think giovincos goal will count as a free kick as I had first goal free kick @16/1

  291. Wyorkie11 9 years ago

I know Jordan but I always crack under pressure when it says you only get three attempts!!

  292. Ryan Allan 9 years ago

Yes Jordan, just under 3 points of profit is fine by me considering both of my main doubles lost.

a 50/1 winner and a 4/1 winner and my other 3 main bets beaten only by a goal in each line.

On to Sunday, what a cracking fixture list! There are more tempting games tomorrow than there were today.

  293. Jordan 9 years ago

Like I said Ryan. Profit is profit mate. Good fixtures but only one bet for me on the United game and NFL Sunday so focus all on that for me bud.

  294. Dom77 9 years ago

Maybe off topic but has anyone seen the film ‘the gambler’ starring mark wahlberg?
It’s pretty good. It’s about an English teacher who is addicted to high stakes gambling. Essential viewing for anyone into gambling. A little to close to home for me personally.

  295. Ryan Allan 9 years ago

what’s your bet on the United game Jordan?

I’m struggling to call it. Need to look at some stats but I doubt I’ll be betting on it considering Arsenal are my bogey team for bets.

    • Jordan 9 years ago

Over 2.5 Match Goals mate. Adamant both will score. Neither team defending well and both have top heavy attacks. Valencia in defence for us is shocking and if he doesn’t play we’ll be playing Young left back. That’s two midfielders in our back four with Blind. Koscielny out for Arsenal too. Martial will give big Per problems.

  296. kriscy 9 years ago

horror, disaster for me today, nice to see winners.

only 1 bet waiting and that is
    new york rd win+over2.5
    leon btts

i had a double of win+btts on spartak moscow + barca, when i lost spartak, i bet on city and chelsea the same, what is happening with chelsea guys? someone watched the game?

after this *** day, i am going for tottenham + manutd draws singles and double.

    good luck guys

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

kriscy, just watched the Chelsea game – bad defending and individual mistakes.

  297. Jordan 9 years ago

Just seen Lens’ goal for Sunderland. Take a bow.

Initial look to tomorrow’s matches and two stand out for goals

    Rapid Vienna v Salzburg

  300. Alves 9 years ago

Wednesday, i was gonna take that Foley guy 1st try at betway after seeing an email on double delight and he was 25/1 so would’ve got 50/1 so f*ck them :)

Dom seen it before when it just came out and mentioned it in here, watched it last night again. Great film, shows the extremes of gambling whatever ££ you have. I’m just glad I’m no a millionaire…one day though :)

  301. Alves 9 years ago

Hope Scotland dont go the same way tho, should be okay but yi never know

  302. Dom77 9 years ago

Alves. Thing is he was rubbish at gambling.
Jordan how do you resist the temptation to up your stakes?

  303. HullShaker 9 years ago

Jordan, lovely goal from Lens alright…just seen Dalien Atkinson’s run and chip on MOTD – one of my favourites.

W*lly Serrato get a 3rd so brings the 4/5 team goals Peruvian bet in. No 4th though for a nice 7/2.

  304. Dom77 9 years ago

How much is a point in your bank? Im still at the stage where i just bet random amounts of cash.

  312. mark73 9 years ago

they have scored 2 in there last 5 away games. could they make it 6 ?

  313. HullShaker 9 years ago

    No worries Mark.

    Late night trip to Panama…

CHORRILLO VS. ALIANZA – 12.00 KO:

The hosts are favourites here and have lost only once against the only side that sit above them domestically. They did however only manage a draw against the bottom team last time out.

Alianza have a mixed form picture but potentially have a goal in them.

A speculative bet on Over 2.5 goals for me…pays 11/10.

    Good luck.

  314. mark73 9 years ago

having a go at btts and chorrillo to win. good luck with

  317. Jordan 9 years ago

Mark my bet is BTTS & Over 2.5 but they very well might do. NYRB push far too high (Orlando punished them for this) Columbus are very good on the counter too. Odds are poor for two goals if you ask me when you can get them 3/1 for the win.

  318. mark73 9 years ago

Thanks Jordan, are you saying you think they will win?

  319. Jordan 9 years ago

Not in the slightest. Too much on the line. Gone for the goals mate.
