Tuesday night brings us dreaded Capital One Cup games and I've put up a preview elsehwere. The best advice here is to not bet if possible until team line-ups are announced or at least suggested.
The big game is Arsenal v Chelsea and both teams will be unrecognisable from the weekend. Chelsea have more depth to their squad so I'd favour them but I won't risk a bit until I see who Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho plump for.
Stoke, West Ham and Fulham all face potential banana skins at Championship sides Birmingham, Burnley and Leicester. All three could go out if they don't respect the opposition.
West Ham are the ones likely to be at their weakest and if Burnley boss Sean Dyche plays a full-strength side including hotshot strikers Sam Vokes and Danny Ings I'll be backing them at 17-10 with the likes of William Hill, BetVictor and Betfred.
One favourite I expect to progress are Man United. Davie Moyes will make changes but so will Norwich boss Chris Hughton so this should be a home. Ladbrokes have enhanced United from 1-3 to 1-2 if you include them on a five-team accumulator on a special coupon.
Burnley would be the Super Single if I knew the teams at this stage and in today's Daily Record it's Rangers -2 at 11-8 with William Hill and bet365 as they take on Stenhousemuir in the semi-final of the Ramsdens Cup. Gers won 8-0 when the sides met at Ibrox a month ago and I expect another strong show at Ochilview.
For the purpose of the site I'm going with this one and for the Top Treble steering clear of the Capital One Cup as I don't know the exact team line-ups at the moment.
Instead I'm heading to the continent and starting with Espanyol who entertain a Malaga side who lost 5-0 at home to Celta Vigo. Malaga will do well to get a result from the only side to beat Atletico Madrid this season. You can get 10-11 with Titanbet on the home win and that's worth a look.
In five away outings this season Malaga are without a win and have failed to net in their last three, conceding eight goals. Espanyol have won three out of five at home this season and beaten Malaga in three of their last five in front of their own fans, losing just once.
Next take both to score at Atalanta v Inter Milan in tonight's only Serie A clash. Atalanta have won three out of four home matches this season but Inter are unbeaten away with two wins and two draws.
The home men possess a goal threat while Inter have conceded eight goals in three games but pose an attacking threat. Both to score pays 8-13 at Titanbet.
Candidates to complete the treble included Rennes at home to Nancy and Tours at home to Amiens but again I'd like to see teams for French League Cup ties.
So hopefully I'm playing it safe and adding over 2.5 goals at Arsenal v Chelsea. Whoever plays should be looking to impress and while loads of stars will be missing let's hope it's open and exciting affair. Over 2.5 goals pays 8-13 at Titanbet.

In the bulls vs miami i think will b a tight game with probably the two best teams facing each other. The bulls are for m the best team though i think they can battle this game. The last game is another thriller with lakers facing the clippers. The lakers are without kobe what gives the game a twist to the clippers side. I simply refuse to accept Hobro as favourit here! Both teams are from the Danish first division and yes it’s a very unpredictable division but these odds are still wrong.
They met in Fredericia at the start of October where Hobro got trashed 3-0. There was no doubt about the outcome of that match and Fredericia could have won by more.

-2 Asian means that if it ends in a draw you get your money back bit a normal handicap means that they have to win by at least 1 if the two goals get cancelled out. So if rangers are -2 Asian and it ends 2-2 you get your stake but if it’s a normal handicap then rangers have to win 3-2 minimum for you to win

I think Arsenal believe the league cup isn’t their best chance anymore and that they have the best opportunity in years to launch a major assault on the league. I put on Dundee United Draw no bet although I think Inverness should still be favourites. Dundee United are an exciting team right now but I think it depends on who they are up against, they have taken apart weaker defences like St. Mirren and Ross County but struggled against stronger teams like Aberdeen and Inverness in the league. Utd should take heart that St Johnstone and Partick have been able to open up Inverness recently and could nick it by a goal.

I hope your over 1.5 FHG is right for your sake Greg, from my experience of watching Rangers the last year or so is that they have started slowly and have gone in 0-0 at half time a few times. Last season one of my favourite bets was half with most goals – 2nd. That said, if they can get the crosses in from the start they should score – I reckon about 90% of Rangers goals this season have been headers.

This looks like a big ask for Scotland tonight. The Tongan’s are a traditionally a big powerful side not just in the forwards but their wingers and centres could play prop forward. The likes of Super League duo Mickey Paea, Ukuma Ta’ai St Helens Willie Manu’s and brother Sika all look likely to feature tonight.
Scotland do have some tough blokes in their forwards likes of Mitchell Sargent and Oliver Wilkes and they will have to front it out, to allow the reigning super league player of the year Danny Brough and his half back partner Peter Wallace room to create chances.
For me the player Scotland must stop is Jorge Taufua, he was destructive in the NRL last year help Manly to the grand final with 19 tries in 25 games. The guy is huge and it as been reported down under as one of the hardest players to tackle. He is 4/6 to score anytime Hills. I fancy him to have a big game tonight so I will be on him to score 2 11/4 Paddy Power and a hat trick at 11/1 Paddy Power.

Patrick, it’s the way it goes sometimes. My shortlist tonight included Chelsea, Raith, Hernandez to score first, Burnley, Stirling and Espanyol. Some were winners and some were losers. I tipped Sanchez to score and you won on that but it’s quickly forgotten.

Mr.F personally I would very much like to see only super singles for weekday evening games then a wider range of trebles, btts etc at the weekend. That way on weekdays id do x2 singles and low stake double of the 2 singles. I only bet a couple of pounds per day, and not every day but ive gone from £130 up to £25 down since mid august – losses due to doing trebles in the week. Thanks for the tips though and keep up the excellent banter!

i think one or two selections max per day is the way forward. The scattergun approach of backing 10 selections a night will quickly wipe out the profit you can make from just going with your one or two strongest picks.

Well the only thing I got right today was that Chelsea would undoubtedly win against a weaker arsenal side. Other than that, I got Burnley completely wrong, and arsenal drawing a blank screwed me too. Ah well, onto the next day!
Luke A, I fancied Chelsea too and was on them. Burnley were well tipped and I also took them. Again I had mixed success with my seven or eight single bets but Hernandez and Sanchez first goals ensured a profit.
Unfortunately for me, I only placed 3 bets tonight, fully expecting at least one to win which would have at least doubled my money. My bets were, Chelsea/btts single, Chelsea/Burnley double, then small stake on same two sides to win but also with btts. My own fault for putting all eggs in 1 basket really though.
goalscorer bets don’t take my fancy often, unless I see a good enhanced price for an anytime scorer and his team to win. Hopefully Wednesday will be a good day, although personally I might give it a complete miss and wait for a villareal and atletico Madrid double Thursday. To me that double looks well worth the wait, coming in at around 6/4
Some people need to realise Mr fixit is giving his advice and mostly very good tips. People who want to come on moaning then shouldn’t be gambling in the first place. In football there is never a banker, so if u can’t afford to lose what you gamble dont gamble.
