GOALS bets are the way ahead – if you pick the right ones. Luckily on Monday I got it spot on with both to score and over 2.5 goals at Elfsborg v Norrkoping and the 13-10 pick came up inside 21 minutes.
Norrkoping remain top despite their 3-2 defeat and with two games to go only one point separates the top three so it's going to be a fascinating race to the finish.
All four league matches in Sweden saw both scoring and over 3.5 goals and while two of them were on my btts treble I added the match at Pogon which had been well tipped. The stats stood up and I can't blame anyone but myself for deciding to go with it.
So we move on to a massive night of action on Tuesday with the resumption of the Champions League as well as Championship, League One and League Two action and two matches in Scotland including a Challenge Cup quarter-final between Rangers and Livingston. Rangers are no bigger than 1-9 but defeated Championship basement boys Livi 3-0 in the league so minus two at 10-11 with Skybet could be worth a look.
I've spent a few hours this morning looking at form, stats and team news and I've to cut down some long lists. Teams close to being the Super Single included Birmingham at Bolton, Reading at Rotherham, Burnley at Nottingham Forest, Port Vale at Colchester and Accrington at home to Wimbledon.
Although Bolton are bottom they are unbeaten at home so I'll leave that one out and take the others on a long shot trixie – with two out of three covering the stake.
In my mind I wanted to back a home for the Super Single and was surprised to see unbeaten leaders Brighton at 1-1 at home to a Bristol City side who only moved off the bottom last week with a victory against a Forest outfit who were poor on the night.
Brighton are a much tougher opposition and although the evens has already been cut I'm on Chris Hughton's men to make it five wins and a draw at home. Skipper Gordon Greer is a doubt but Jamie Murphy is available and Bobby Zamora could start after netting the winner at Leeds as a sub.
Greg and others have put up strong both to score and overs tips with matches such as QPR v Sheffield Wednesday and Peterborough v Wigan featuring heavily.
I'm going for Arsenal v Bayern for reasons stated on my Champions League preview plus Morecambe v Crawley and Sheffield Utd v Fleetwood. If I get time I'll put up a goals post with full reasoning – and I've added an over 2.5 goals fourfold to make it a maximum stake of almost 10pts today.

Decided to throw another 2.4 points on this. Lyon are without a few key players such as Fekir, Grenier and Fofana. They have taken 1 point from their first two group games despite Gent having a man sent off in the 41st minute. Lacazette missed a penalty late in the game with another red card for the Belgians so chances are slim against Zenit who have won both of their games with an impressive win scoring 3 goals in Valencia. Russia is a tough place to go for any side, especially to Zenit who have a host of scoring talent in Hulk, Dzyuba, Danny and Shatov. Total staked 5 points @ EVS.

Lyall, could be something to do with less prep time – play on a Saturday, day off Sunday, train Monday, travel Tuesday.
Evening Lyall, it’s a massive price but 2 draws and a cup loss in 3 has put the skids on the uber-confidence we had – that’s reflected in the bookies pricing.
Bradford themselves have had some good results of late and as Mr F says, midweek away games in lower leagues don’t enhance prices well!
That said, Bury’s undefeated away record stretches way back into last season and Chris Eagles signing today may well give us that confidence boost back.
Will have a good look tomorrow and the win looks great value at 3/1 but Bury +1 at evens could be one to take.

As a Wycombe fan, I’m surprised to see three of last year’s promoted clubs in the top 7. Is there not as big a gulf as expected between League 1/2?
Again the DNB looks a great price mate – those teams promoted doing well but I suppose that times the test to see where we all end up in summer. In terms of a gulf in class, one things for sure and that’s the gap between Leagues 2 and 1 compared to League 1 and the Championship…now there’s the gulf.

I have tried a couple of those millionaire coupon at the weekends but for some reason fail to pick any draws as I just tend to see a clear winner in the game.
David, there is no science – in essence you’re looking at matches between 2 teams in the same kind of form and who have some previous draws on the h2h.
Look at league tables for sides who draw more often than others. But picking several is tough.

Today sees the return of the good old UEFA Youth League. Serious profit to be made in this competition as the bookies over inflate the prices between overs and unders. Making the long trip over to Russia for a 9AM kick off between Zenit and Lyon. Zenit have lost all their fixtures so far in the competition, even losing to Gent Youth in the last round at home 0-1. I watched that game myself and the amount of chances Zenit spurned led me to believe that they will not stand a chance here against a team with a far better Youth academy and in a far better league overall. Lyon Youth have so far beaten Gent Youth 0-3 away from home and followed that up with a 1-0 defeat of Valencia Youth in the previous round. Aside from the Gent result, Zenit have lost 2-0 away to Valencia so my reckoning is that if Lyon can beat Valencia and Gent and Zenit can lose to Valencia and Gent then surely Lyon will win here at 3/4 William Hill. The South Korean K League game is good for goals as the past fixtures between the two sides have seen 2-2 and 1-5.

I’m on quite a few games today. Wish I’d seen Greg’s write-up before I wrote this, would have saved me work for a couple of them.
QPR v Sheffield Wednesday Over 2.5 Goals (19/20) – NAP
I feel like i’m playing this one safe and that there will be more than 3 goals. QPR have seen all home games this season go BTTS and Over 2.5 Goals, with 4 of them going Over 3.5. They have conceded 2 or more goals in 9 of their 11 games and their games are so good for goals they have both the league’s best attack and worst defence. Sheffield Wednesday don’t quite have as many goals but BTTS has landed in 9 of their last 10 and seem to have found their shooting boots, scoring 9 goals in their last 4 games.
Gillingham Over 1.5 Goals (19/20) – NB
Gillingham are strong at home, scoring 17 goals in their first 6 home league matches and have scored the most goals in the league so far. Scunthorpe have conceded two goals in every away match since february and their only away clean sheet since the start of last season came at a Gillingham side who had started the season poorly and who shortly after changed manager.
Morecambe v Crawley Over 2.5 Goals (4/5) NB2
Like QPR, Morecambe have the best attack and worst defence in the league. 8 of their last 10 games have gone Over 3.5 goals, with the only game going Under 2.5 a 0-0 draw away to Oxford. They’ve score 11 and conceded 8 in their last 3. Crawley’s last 7 have gone Over 2.5, and their only away game that hasn’t reached this mark finished 1-1.
Peterbrough v Wigan Over 2.5 Goals (4/5)
Both teams have scored in all of Peterbrough’s and 3 of their last 5 at home went Over 4.5 Goals. They have conceded 3 goals at home on 4 occasions already this season. 3 of Wigans last 4 away from home have had Over 3.5 goals and they have conceded twice in 5 out of 6 away.
Sheffield United Over 1.5 Goals (4/5)
Sheffield United have scored twice in 5 of their 6 home games with only Bury stopping them at 1 goal. Fleetwood have registered clean sheet in their last 3 games, but had conceded 12 goals in 4 away games before that. Fleetwood do have a new manager but Sheffield United should have too much firepower for them.
Bristol Rovers Over 1.5 Goals (23/20)
Notts County have scored in every away game this season so I wouldn’t put anyone off backing match goals. Bristol had a tough start to the season and have already played 6 of the top 7 teams in the league. They’ve bounced back from a winless run of 5 to win their last 3 away games scoring 9 goals and now they return home where they have a record of W1 L4 so far. I think that’s misleading because of the run of games and I think they can score twice against a Notts County side that has conceded 13 goals in their last 5 away games.
Blackman (Reading) to score (21/10)
I tipped him up at the weekend and he duly obliged by scoring the only goal of the game. He’s now scored 9 goals in 9 games for Reading, the only game he failed to score in was when Reading drew a blank against Derby. They face a Rotherham side who are normally good for a goal, but normally concede aswell with BTTS landing in 10 of their games and them conceded twice in 8 of those. It’s worth noting Rotherham have score in every game they’ve lost this season so Reading BTTS and Win might be good for a line.
Gray (Burnley) to score (2/1)
Gray has scored in 5 out of 8 games he has played this season for both clubs he’s played for and has scored 3 goals in his last 2. He scored in both games he played against Forest last season and this is a Forest side that is winless in their last 4

Half the games ever played are home wins, of the remainder draws and aways are 50:50. So if 8 games are played it would be natural, but not guaranteed that 4 homes 2 draw and 2 aways happen.
Take the eight games in the UCL tonight, the bookies have priced up the most likely homes as Leverkusen, Porto ZsP & Valencia.
The most likely aways as Barca & Bayern (fancy that!)
That leaves two games which are most likely to be draws given the research that the bookies have put in;

Steve I started doing that on Sunday and have got 7/8 right so far. I only did it with a few quid right enough, however rather than betting on a goal to be scored at odds of around 2/1 I would suggest splitting your stake and betting on both teams to score the next goal. The odds are much much better. Usually I see another goal at around 15/8 and one team 4/1 one team 5/1

I really don’t know what to expect from arsenal tonight but after the United game a couple of weeks ago, the general feeling in the crowd and pub was that losing to bayern could be a blessing in disguise. As embarrassing as it might seem I’d take 4th spot in that group now as it means less games, less injuries, less fatigue. If we finished 2nd we’d inevitably get knocked out in the next round anyway and finishing 3rd would be the worst thing ever for us. Look at Liverpool 2 seasons ago with no European football when they had a 1 week rest between games. Chelsea would have won the league that season if they didn’t have a CL run into the semi finals

What’s everyone’s thoughts on over 1.5 match goals trebles and above. I find roughly 3 can pay evens and 4 can pay 6/4. I like them but find the risk is also high. Needing results in 3/4 matches compared to say a double of over 2.5 match goals. I see centre circle uses it well so well done mate. And a shout out to Dynamo too

QPR v Wednesday
Dunno how many others watched our game against Hull on Saturday but I thought first half we were very impressive against a team who were in the PL last season. When Hull took walking red card Diame off and changed to 4-4-2 in the second half we struggled to adapt and in the end a point was a fair result against a decent side (although our defending was woeful for their goal).
QPR have conceded at least 2 in every single one of their home games this season but have managed to score in all of them, including 4 last time out against Bolton. 4 of our last 5 have seen both sides scoring with 3 of those also going over 2.5. We’re very good going forward but we do give away too many chances for my liking and I think tonight will be another open game.
I think we’ll win tonight as we’re full of confidence and QPR seem to be bereft of any, having had a quick look at their forum’s views on tonight’s game. I watched their 4-0 hammering by Fulham and they were dreadful – hopefully they play like that again later! Their poor defending from crosses really stood out so it could be worth looking at our centre halves Lees or Turner at 10s and 14s respectively anytime, but I’ll just stick with goals.

I try to go for 4 games that add up to around evens. I use who scored for most of my info, hope Mr F doesn’t mind me mentioning it, and apologies if he does.
I like to wait for 10 mins and then jump on in-play. If the score is stil 0-0 you can usually get over 1.5 mg’s for around 4-9 or 1/2 meaning you can make a double at evens or above, which minimises the risk. Im going to do it tonight but will add Porto over 2.5 tg’s for a treble.

Filipino, who are these markets with? Only thing I would say is that I find different bookies have different stats for the same games all the time. Some bookies will put a shot on target that is essentially a cross that the keeper has grabbed, or a deep ball that a keeper has came and collected.
Good point Jordan ,Like today there were a few crosses that gent had that was on target but keeper caught. On skybet they put it down as a shot on target but on the official uefa livescores they didn’t include it..
