TO answer a question on the site today – yes Johnb’s in profit for the year. He’s down 26.91 pts for October but as far as 2015 goes he galloped to the front in the first half of the year.

Anyone who backs his tips long term is currently playing with winning and I expect him to hit a rich vein form in time for the new site launch.

The good news is his tips will remain free to view and here is Sunday’s selection.

Johnb’s Sunday Tip

    Timeform comments:

Midnight Shot (4 out of 5 stars): Fairly useful winner of a Haydock bumper and made it 2 from 2 over hurdles with a smooth success at Southwell in May. Returns with yard in red-hot form.
    Form: 2310-11
Race commentary: hurdle, 2m. MAPUTO has passed every test asked of him over hurdles so far, and with the potential for better still based on his smart Flat form, is expected to take the step up in class in his stride. Swansea Mile made an excellent start for Dan Skelton last month and is feared most, though it would be unwise to underestimate Midnight Shot returning for a bang-in-form yard.

“The good news is his tips will remain free to view and here is Sunday’s selection.”

Does this indicate that some tips on the new site will not be free to view MrF?

    • Profile photo of Mr Fixit Author
      Mr Fixit 2 years ago

allcoops, as we’ve said before the membership fee will be for additional tipsters, features, contests, clubs, etc.
All or almost all of what you see now will remain free to access.

  6. Ricardo72 2 years ago

Pete, barnsleylad yes I bet regulation didn’t get it off here but just my own judgement

  7. PeteT 2 years ago

Allycoops – I think Mr F has said everything will be free to view. There are some features that you’ll need to be a member for -I’m sure all will be explained soon :)

Ricardo – Great you picked Regulation too. You did say you haven’t seen him pick a winner though yet but he did yesterday. He’s hit a tough patch but he’ll be back. Feel free to share your tips though as you obviously have a keen eye if you picked Regulation too yesterday.

PeteT, there will be a post up soon explaining all – but basically it’s a membership fee to access a lot more than you get now and where numpties will not be allowed.
It will be a happy forum full of positive thoughts and top tips.
Holidays and glitches have delayed the launch but that’s no problem.
When we’re sure it’s to go we’ll do it – and almost there now.

      • PeteT 2 years ago

That’s cool Mr F. I’d kind of picked up that was the aim and when the time is right you’ll announce everything.

These things always take longer than planned but getting things tested is always best before it goes live and it will be ready when it’s ready.

Numpty free zone sound good though :)

Ricardo72, no one is stopping you contributing more and I’d welcome it.
However, I will always defend Johnb because I know he will provide long-term profit, his knowledge is second to none and he puts in a power of effort picking winners in not just racing but other sports.

Im guessing JohnB has a fair idea of how good Maputo is based on the fact it beat Regulation last time out and he has recently backed that horse.

I think Maputo is definitely beatable in this race. Way too short when you look at the unexposed opposition. Will take your word that Midnight Shot is the one to be on.

        • Profile photo of Mr Fixit Author
          Mr Fixit 2 years ago

busstop, you’re reading it wrongly. You asked about people who freely comment their tips – that’s not what I mean by additional tipsters.
By that I mean people such as Bounty Punter who we have recruited and who should be brilliant on the obscure goals tips.
All questions will be answered soon – I’m still getting my head round it.
Bottom line is if you sign for a small yearly fee you’ll get every benefit we have to offer including free bets, massive prize giveaways, special features, new tipsters, etc, etc – a whole load of stuff.
If you don’t sign up that’s no problem – you’ll pretty much get what you see just now.
We’re charging a membership fee for 2 reasons – to add to the site and to be able to control a forum much better.

T84uk, I hope it’s before the end of the month but admin won’t rush it out until it’s completely ready.
A year’s membership will be £35 as we’ve said – including a £10 free bet. So £25 a year (about 50p a week) if you use the bet.
You can join for a month as well and not renew if you don’t like it.
It’s way too cheap I’ve been told but I want it as cheap as possible.

    Midnight Shot NAP/NB

The trouble when you have unexposed horses is trying to work out just how much progress the have still got
When we look at Maputo we see a group 3 winner on the flat and a horse that is unbeaten over hurdles, the problem I see Maputo is that he doesn’t seem to be improving and last time out was not that far ahead of Regulation and even with a big difference with the weights I fancied Regulation to maybe reverse placings today but he is a non runner.

With my NAP Midnight Shot he is also unbeaten over hurdles but his last run was a major step forward on his first run
He is coming back from a break but that’s not a worry as Midnight Shot was 2nd on debut and also won coming back from 134 days off

My feeling is that Midnight Shot has the better form and the scope for more improvement than Maputo and the reason he is so short is because of his flat form.

Also Richard Johnson when teaming up with Charlie Longsdon has a 37.14℅ win rate this year
    35 runners with 13 winners & 8 placed horses

Clarky, you’ve written more today than Shakespeare did in a lifetime.
You must have writer’s cramp to go along with brain freeze.
I love how you pretend to be on the punter’s side but do nothing but criticise Johnb and others.

for those who are interested in following i will be on this double:

    19:42 Woodb (US) Terror
    21:57 Woodb (US) Curvy

I’m not sure who to combine them with for a treble out of Cannock Chase or Second Step in the 22:42 at Woodbine

Any thoughts/tips from you lovely lot?

Clarky, everyone knows Johnb’s recent stats – we don’t hide any stats or delete any losing tips.
However, you’ve been using that wonky calculator again. 6 out of 53 is 9 per cent not 3.1 per cent.
If more than one person signs up for the new site I’ll buy you a new one.

Cheers but I think you should just keep the money as you’re charging punters you must need it more than me.
