OCT 17: THE SAINT GREG BROWNING’S TOP TIPS

GregBrowning

THE Aberdeen game didn’t go to plan for Greg or myself last night. Greg backed the Dons and I went for both to score.

In the end Ross County won easily in a match where many chances were missed especially by the home side’s Northern Ireland international Liam Boyce.

So to Saturday and Greg says: It will be no surprise I’m sticking to what I know best (goals) after the shambles of Aberdeen. There are quite a few matches I like and the challenge has been whittling the shortlist down.

Tottenham v Liverpool (12.45pm)

It’s never ideal playing a club who have just appointed a new manager and given Liverpool’s recent domination of the the Londoners over the past few seasons this is a match I’m sure Spurs fans would have preferred during the the BR tenure.

Liverpool’s last 8 matches have seen both teams score and I can’t not see them scoring today especially with Jurgen Klopp taking charge for the first time.

The last 6 meetings between these two have yielded 25 goals, neither side has have been defensively strong this season and with enough attacking options on display we should see some goals with both sides contributing.

Back over 2.5 Match goals 4-5 (Skybet) (NAP)

Greg says: Normally I only post singles but said at the start of the season i would post an over 2.5 gosls treble on a Saturday. I have two for tomorrow – one Scottish and one English.

Scots over 2.5 goals

Rangers v QoS
Forfar v Ayr
Stranraer v Dunfermline
Pays 12-5

English over 2.5 goals

Middlesbrough v Fulham
Crewe v Gillingham
Port Vale v Peterborough
Pays 4-1

Tottenham have the best joint defensive record this season.

  3. Paul 1 year ago

Thought Spurs defence was responsible, if fact they are joint best record in the league of only letting 7 goals in. I really hoping your 2.5 goals come in, let go for a 3-0 home win. Will be at the game as always. No armchair job from me.

i am off to watch liverpool at tottenham and i reckon liverpool will smash them today, liverpool have got quality all through the team its just getting them playing right, hopefully klopp will do this.

  5. Mike bassett 1 year ago

Not sure about this. Lfc have new manager in play and spurs are looking more solid.

Never one to doubt sir greg, I’ll maybe just go small stakes.

Long time follower Greg but try not to bet on my own team (Liverpool) wish you and the followers luck for that one, I’ll be on the trebles no doubt

As you know I’m a Spurs fan so here are my thoughts. Spurs are a different proposition this season, especially defensively but unfortunately Dier is out today which is a big blow. I still think it will be difficult for Liverpool though. have a look at them, take out Coutinho and how many quality players do they actually have? I think Greg’s tip will come in though because Spurs will score O2.5tg at 7/2 :-)

Also, as with every Saturday I will back greg’s trebles and cover them with an O1.5mg acca. Worked out very well to date :-) Cheers G have a good day

There’s more Liverpool and Sputs fans on here than my team get through the doors for a home match!

Mattr, both teams to score has a very good chance and I’m hoping that lead is to some goals! 2-2 draw :)

Getting bit nervous coming upto game. Think my neighbour (liverpool fan) is owing round to watch it as well. Hope ur rite mattr. Exactly wot Greg said. I was gutted when Rodgers got sacked knowing we’d be there first game under new management. Plus r shocking record against them. Think its r best chance of getting something out of this fixture for a while. But haven’t got that much confidence

Spurs game could be a cracker if there’s an early goal. Put a small wager on 3-2 to the home side.

Over 2.5 goals treble (Home team listed)
    Reading
    MK Dons
    Sheffield Wed
    Pays about 5/1

Over 3.5 goals in the Kilmarnock match is a decent shout as well at about 11/4

As usual Gregg some great selections again! ……….I’m going for a speculative acca using your tips but on the over 1.5mg’s…..
    Tottenham,Forfar,Stranraer,Crewe,port vale,Carlisle…….all >1.5mg’s
Plus I’m adding on the acca Oldham BTTS……..and Grimsby >1.5tg’s
Feeling brave and sticking 2 points on……..returns just short of 18 points :-)
    Good luck everyone today!!

  28. Alex Lim9 1 year ago

Would have been a different game if Kane hadn’t aimed for Mignolet on his first half chance.

    Sorry Greg. Any more?

Upped my bank last week and have lost every bet I have followed since! Sorry guys, it’s all my fault.

Let’s hope the trebles provide a little cushion to the losses later!

Cheers for your work on these bets Greg – learning a lot from people on this site about how to spot value and what type of bets to pick out and I can see how much time the research takes. Onwards and upwards.

I fancy all 6 games for goals that I’ve posted for trebles

Belgium 2nd division matches later this evening that I’m looking at!

Dissapointed with the Spurs game, rarely do the premiership and rarely do early kick offs! Every day is a school day!

  32. connor 1 year ago

The Scottish treble ain’t looking promising! Let’s hope the second half brings the goals

  33. Paul 1 year ago

    Hi
As I said in my early post, Spurs have the joint best defensive record, but not taking there gilt edge chances cost us the goals.

  34. TheBoss 1 year ago

Cheers Greg pulled some money back on the Scottish treble :)

  35. TheBoss 1 year ago

Guess I was the only one on it then??

  36. Mike bassett 1 year ago

No me to the boss. Thanks greg
