Aberdeen and Mainz failed to net for my both teams to score double and my over 2.5 goals double was beaten by a surprise 0-0 at Dundalk.

Never know quite what your going to get from Southampton but I fancy them to score twice today against a Leicester side who are yet to keep the ball out of their own net this season. Pelle and Mane have been pulling the strings up front with Davis and Tadic chipping in when they can. Shane Long will be out for a few weeks so Jay Rodriguez could see some time. BTTS is possible here but I’d much rather back the home goals. Just seen WillHill are doing a market called Both Score No Draw, and think that is a decent price @ 13/8. The Saints have covered the -1 in their last two games both with 3-1 wins and I expect a similar scoreline against Leicester.
Jose Mourinho has never lost two consecutive home games in his career and despite Chelsea being way under par, they are not in the water that Tim Sherwood has Villa in. Sherwood was 6/1 to be the next manager to be sacked last week, and you can now get that close to even money now being the favourite. With 4 losses in a row and the next 5 games looking very tough, he might be gone before the turn of the year. Chelsea will ‘welcome’ (used extremely bluntly) back Diego Costa which should give them a slight boost to their attack with Willian looking like he’s the only keen one playing football for the blues. No better team to put their bad run to an end against Villa in my humble opinion.
West Ham aka chalk and cheese are another side that you’re not sure what you’re going to get. Despite having the best away form in the league, they struggled in their last away game against Sunderland and were lucky to get a point after a second half red card saw Lens get an early bath for the Black Cats. Looking at their games its the ones that they aren’t expected to win or have much possession is where they have success, but when playing sides expecting to control the game, they have struggled. The 2-2 against Sunderland, 2-2 at home to Norwich, lost 2-1 away to Leicester and 4-3 at home to Bournemouth. This will be another game in what should quite open as both sides prefer the counter. Winston Reid is a doubt for West Ham who in my opinion is their best defender and will struggle with the pace and power that Palace possess with the likes of Bolasie and Sako.
Also as a United fan I’ll throw caution to the wind as there is no chance in hell we should be priced up as the favourites. Especially after our showing at the Emirates. The worst thing for us was to have a two week break, especially with Rooney playing with his head up his arse, no football for two weeks will not help that situation. I think Everton will score and you can get that at best @ 2/5 which I think would slide into an acca nicely, but I obviously can’t back that as a red. They turned us over 3-0 last season at Goodison and we just about kept the 3 points at home with a stellar performance from De Gea (heard that before) Our back four will still be made up of two midfielders in Blind, Young and/or Valencia, and that just doesn’t cut it in the Premier League. One clean sheet away from home in the league this season at Villa. Doesn’t say much.

Cuth – going big on arsenal Chelsea and City, all I have to say is injuries and they all have champions league this week, Arsenal have a must win game against bayern Munich and Chelsea also slipped up last champions league game so will want to make sure of a win. Morning Guys, Back to the bread and butter. I am on the teams goals and scorers. As always with the scorers as always check team news, if I am back in time I will confirm weather the selections start.
Team goals, I fancy Reading to score O1.5g at 8/11 at Hills. Reading are banging in the goals with 14 in their last five. Charlton are out of form with just 2 draws out their last six. I think Reading can score at least two goals.
Southampton like Reading were amongst the goals prior to the international break, when they beat Chelsea, they also scored twice against Man United. I tipped Pelle to score in midweek and he could do again today, although I prefer to be on the team goals. Leicester have had a good start to the season, but have conceded twice to Stoke and Aston Villa. Southampton O1.5g is 8/11 Various.
My final team goals is Burnley. It is a Lancashire derby against Bolton and we know what form means in these games. The fact is Bolton were struggling to score goals, they got 3 last time out against QPR, yet still let in 4. Burnley have the strikers to punish a leaky Bolton defence in Sam Vokes and Andre Gray. I will take them O1.5g at 10/11 William Hill.
In the goal scorer market as I wont be around till later this afternoon, so I am sticking to two premier league attackers, who are fit and should start. Romelu Lukaku who has five goals this season faces a Man Utd defence that was ripped apart by Arsenal in the first half, last time out and have lost on their last 3 trips to Goodison. Lukaku is who I want to be with here at 2/1 Stan James.
My second goal scorer comes from the massive game at the Bridge. Tim Sherwood is under pressure but this is a massive game for Chelsea. They were took apart by Southampton last time out at home, but I expect them to bounce back. There as been an unusually high scoring games with Chelsea this season with O2.5g being scored in 9 of their last 10 league games. I think there will be more goals scored in this one and I want to be with last years player of the year Eden Hazard. He like Chelsea have started slowly, but this is usually a fixture Chelsea do well in, scoring at least 2 goals in 8 of the last 9 at the bridge. I will take Hazard at 7/4 Various.

Bury have been in fine form of late with 4 wins and 1 draw in their last 5 games, scoring on average 1.8 goals per game, scoring 2 goals in their last 2 home games.
I’m hoping they can do the same today against a Rochdale side that have been leaking goals, 5 out of 5 of their previous games have seen both teams score, conceding on average 2 goals per game. It is a local derby and they’re sometimes difficult to predict, but I’m hoping for goals.

Going to try and stick to the UK games today so I don’t have about 100 games shortlisted.
Ayr Over 1.5 Goals – (5/4)
Ayr have score 2 or more goals in 7 of their last 8 games, winning 6 of of those 7 games. Forfar have conceded twice in 5 of their last 6, a run that was started by a 2-2 draw at Ayr. I think Ayr should have enough to win this and score at least a couple in the process.
Cowdenbeath Over 1.5 Goals (11/10)
Both the sides in this game have terrible defences which was evident in the game at Stenhousemuir earlier in the season that finished 4-2. They have failed to score in their last 2, with the blank at Brechin not a great sign but before that they had scored twice in 4 consecutive games. They’ve scored in every home game so far and face a Stenhousemuir side who have conceded at least twice in every away game and in 7 out of 9 league games.
Blackman (Reading) to score – (7/5)
Reading are at home to a Charlton side who have kept one clean sheet all season and have conceded at least twice in their last 5. Reading have got their act together after a slow start and so has Blackman. He’s scored 6 goals in his last 6 league games, and if you count league cup games he’s scored in 7 of his last 8. Should be sniffing for goals against a Charlton side on the slide and leaking goals.
De Bruyne (Man City) to score – (7/4)
Aguero and Silva are injured. Sterling and Bony are yet to perform in City shirts. Navas is as useless as he always has been. De Bruyne has scored in his first 3 Premier League games, and has scored in 6 of his last 7 for club and country. Certainly looks the most likely to grab a goal.

I’ve been doing this type of bet recently with a fair amount of success. The beauty of it is if all goes to plan your winnings come through nice and early and at a decent price.
There is no way as such to utilise stats but its better to look at the teams involved and how they set out to play, eg do they attack from the offset, do they have pace down the flanks etc.
I think this type of bet works best in a double to minimise risk. This week the above matches meet the criteria.
