IT’S been a quiet week for Greg with no bets advised on Wednesday or Thursday but he likes the look of Aberdeen tonight.

The Dons, still Premiership leaders, are aiming to bounce back from three defeats in a row when they visit Ross County with the match live on BT Sport 2.

Ross County v Aberdeen (7.45pm)

Good teams don’t turn into bad ones overnight and that rule still applies to Aberdeen. Much has been said about their recent slump but they are still the second strongest side in the league and will want to get back to winning ways after being destroyed by the famous Perth St Johnstone before the international break.

The Dons lost four goals that day from set-pieces and that’s something they’ll have been working on I’m sure over the international break. Prior to the slump the Dons had been watertight and much of their success was built on their defensive qualities.

They visit current over-achievers Ross county but in saying that they are one of the most financially-backed sides in the league. Jim McIntyre has brought in a number of players this season has had them playing really well but a 3-3 draw and 2-1 defeat last time out will give Aberdeen encouragment they can go to Dingwall and win.

The Dons won’t need much motivation after spending the last two weeks licking their wounds from three defeata on the spin. They’ll want to show everyone they intend on running Celtic close for as long as they can. I’m taking the Dons to nick this.

Back Aberdeen 1-1 (William Hill) (NAP)

    Hi Greg,

Cheers as ever for putting up your tips. Ill have a few bob on Aberdeen…

Dino Vita on welovebetting.com (which I assume I can mention given Mr Fixit’s links) says this of the Saints this weekend – I assume you endorse the Over 2.5 prediction…

“St Johnstone’s goal scoring form this season has been incredible. If you think back to previous seasons they were the side you’d never back when looking for goals but they’ve seen every game this season go BTTS and nine out of 11 went Over 2.5 Goals. Indeed their last eight games have paid out on that bet.

So when an odds against price on Over 2.5 comes up you have to jump on it! St Johnstone have put three past Rangers and five past Aberdeen in the last few weeks.

Patrick on the other hand have been woeful this season only picking up their first league win of the season last time out against Dundee Utd. That win may indicate they may have turned the corner.

Until recent weeks goals have been a big concern for Thistle but they’ve scored four in their last two games and you’d fancy them to nick one against a side yet to keep a clean sheet this season.”

St Johnstone’s form in front of goals could easily win this bet on their own but with a leaky defence and Partick looking like they’ve turned a corner I’ll side with the stats and go for goals again!

Tonight I am on HIghest Scoring Half 1st @ 3.2(11/5)
    Jackson Irvine FGS @ 25/1
    Correct Score 1-2 @ 9/1

Anyone comes in I am in profit. Ideally Irvine to score 1st, Dons equalise by HT and score a winner with 3 mins left

    Not asking for much

    Good luck

Also on St J WIN & +2.5 goals the morra, think its a good thing potentially.

Reynolds should be back tonight hopefully.

Greg, if I only make one bet per day and the bet is your nap, does 10 points sound right?

  6. Sion_E1987 1 year ago

    My treble for tonight

Bundesliga: Mainz vs Dortmund over 2.5 goals
Bundesliga 2: Sandhausen vs Kaiserslautern Both teams to score
Ligue 2: Sochaux vs Tours under 2.5 goals

Mike, there’s nothing to suggest their won’t be goals, especially given the fact we always concede

Jim 10 points is about right for the NAP mate

Hope your team get back to winning ways tonight! :)

Greg, Dons’ defence awful – could have been 5-1 again if Boyce hadn’t left his shooting boots in Belfast.

Aberdeen have been awful, back to the over 2.5 goals winners tomorrow Greg

They’ve been woeful. Another ‘easy’ title for theCeltic. What a pointless league

Sticking with goals rather than trying to back an out right winner (I think)

Master Greg, overs are your true calling. Remember ‘both teams working for you’ motto. Tomorrow it’s time to witness some winners. Ole!!!
