WE'RE pretty restricted this weekend but I'll give it a go anyway. Two of my sides are on the five to follow but it's difficult to avoid with the games on offer.
Start the treble with Tranmere who weren't given a prayer at the start of the season but what a job Prenton Park legend Ronnie Moore is doing.
It's his third spell as boss and he shows no signs of losing enthusiasm for a thankless job at a club forever in the shadow of Liverpool and Everton.
Tranmere sit proudly on top of the table after five league wins on the bounce but bookies don't expect them to stay there, making them fourth favourites for the title behind Sheffield Utd, Swindon and MK Dons.
But I'm not sure. They show no signs of weakening and can certainly be backed with confidence on Saturday against a Yeovil side who ended a run of four defeats by beating Colchester last weekend.
Now head to Scotland and take Queen's Park who will sit proudly on top of the table after four successive league wins and should be too strong for an Annan outfit who crashed out of the William Hill Scottish Cup at home to Highland outfit Buckie last week.
My third choice is from a Sunday game and that's Queen of the South at home to Arbroath in the semi-finals of the Ramsdens Cup. It could be a right royal weekend if the two Queens win and the Dumfries side will hopefully complete the treble.
Queens have made a great start to the season under Allan Johnston and of course beat Rangers at Ibrox in the last round on penalties after a thrilling 2-2 draw.
Second Division rivals Arbroath have been in decent form but will be aware their last defeat on September 1 was 6-0 – against Queen of the South at Palmerston.
Arbroath won't relish the trip south so take Queens hopefully to complete the treble.
Remember to post your own treble for a chance to win a £10 bet with Betway. There were no winners last weekend.
