OCT 12: THE SAINT GREG BROWNING’S GOALS TIPS

GregBrowning

GREG’S in fabulous form and is hoping to land an overs double today.

He’s focusing on the Euro 2016 qualifiers and I wish him luck as this tournament has been tricky since the games started on Thursday.

On current form Greg’s probably the hottest tipster on the site and I’m astounded to see a couple of criticisms. A winning tip is a winning tip no matter what the price – if it’s 4-5 that’s almost doubling your money.

There are punters who want 4-5s that have a better chance of winning than the accumulators I’m trying to land so take you pick. If you don’t like a tip someone puts up do your own – but don’t have a go at a guy who puts up as a high a percentage of winners as anyone I know.

Russia v Montenegro (5pm)

The hosts don’t lose many at home and three points here will secure qualification – I would expect at least two goals (most likely from the Russians).

Ukraine v Spain (7.45pm)

It’s make or break in Kiev for Ukraine – realistically they are going to have to win to qualify! With Spain already through they’ll fancy their chances – Spain have enough quality to net and that should ensure we see at least two goals.

Back over 1.5 match goals double 5-6 (Bet365) (NAP)

NormanStanleyFletcher, it’s the right attitude – if the price is too short for the stakes anyone does then they should do something else.
Schools are off so need to go out for a bit before work tonight.

Defiantly on it, greg is on fire and there’s no reason to argue with the odds, don’t like it don’t do it simple

Not on this am afraid, odds to short for my liking

  10. Rowen 1 year ago

Have been on all of your naps on this amazing roll Greg, but will not be on this one mate. Ukraine are notorious for their defense first approach when playing big games. 0-1 at home to Slovakia, 0-0 away to Slovakia, 1-0 away to Spain. Even if they need a win they will not open up, especially playing an opponent as Spain…

  11. Bully Beef 1 year ago

Well said mr F, to have a go at a guy that’s taking the time to research and share his tips for free, and who wins with such a high level of consistency is absurd. Great work Greg, keep those winners coming.

Mr F. What are you doing on the new Greg Browning Site? Lol

  20. TheBoss 1 year ago

    Look it’s simple!!

Don’t think Greg’s tip will win or the price isn’t what you want??

    DONT F’ING BET ON IT!!

Also we don’t really need an explenation why you don’t like it. It makes no difference to the tip…..

You just wanna comment if it loses and say told you.

We don’t need that in this thread.

  21. Nick 1 year ago

1.85 isn’t really that short to be honest…

If you can’t afford to lose it don’t bet with it and avoid the eggy mess on your face.

    TheBoss.

  23. Duke 1 year ago

Liam. Why does it have to be a big stake? What is wrong with smaller stakes? a run of winners with small stakes soon adds up. 5/6 is a great price in my opinion Greg.

  24. TheBoss 1 year ago

I own my own offline business also several online business….I also can afford it and can also afford the loss it goes with the betting and reason you stake evens stakes!

    Still don’t get your point!

You want Greg to pick NAPS which are 2/1 & 3/1 or even 4/1?! Or something that is more likely to win at 4/5?

This is boring me now go join one of those facebook pages which have Accu’s of 4500/1 see how you get on ;).

Not sure why you keep putting Liam the boss morris at the end.

  25. jim 1 year ago

If Gregs nap is your only bet of the day, would you all say 10 points sounds about right?

  26. BetFlair 1 year ago

Ever thought you might be expecting too much? Money is hard to make but easy to lose. I’m happy with tips over 1.5 tbh. And I bet on shorter odds than that sometimes.

  27. PedroJord 1 year ago

Putting reasons why you don’t fancy it is surely the whole point of these comments? If someone has stats or info against what someone’s backed then it benefits everyone to know. We don’t need to jump down peoples throats for disagreeing with someone’s tips, even if it’s gregs.

Like the look of the double, might give it 10 minutes to see how Ukraine set out before placing it

  28. Ljc1979 1 year ago

Oh my.. Saint Greg is spending his own time researching the tips he puts up! At the end of the day profit is profit large or small!

  29. Andy 1 year ago

For goods sake, if you don’t like the odds, don’t back it, back against it!!

I know I will back Greigs tip. Is correct more often than not.

Keep up the good work Greig.

    Greg,

i have passed you on to 5 of my friends a week ago and between us we are £400 up and none of us put “massive stakes” on so please contiue as you are. on again today

  31. RobertC 1 year ago

I’ll be on this – unashamedly just with £20!

Other bet of the day is:
    England -1Ah
    Russia
Norway U21 vs Swiss U21 btts

    Trebles 2.46 with bet365

  32. Wato 1 year ago

I agree with TheBoss it is getting boring if you think those odds aren’t good enough or the bet isn’t something you fancy then just leave it and leave the rest of us to follow it. I would have thought for bigger stakes lower odds would def be the way to go cause as we all know the higher the odds the more unlikely you are to have regular winners. It’s no coincidence that Greg’s tips are all generally evens or just under therefore provided a decent chance of winning. If you want to win big then by all means place large amounts on big prices and watch the bank account shrink. Everyone bets different amounts the majority more than likely small amounts which is totally fine it’s meant to be enjoyable. Saying you must only bet big on small odds is just ridiculous. Anyway rant over :) good luck Greg and the rest on tonights games I am on again as always

  33. dave-carlisle 1 year ago

Sweden score both halves at 4/5 instead of Ukraine bet along with the Russia over 1.5 is my double.good luck everyone

  34. jim 1 year ago

    how’s this…
    1) Do Greg’s NAP every day.
    2) Bet the same stake everyday.
    3) Don’t wait for inplay for odds to rise. Four times now I have been caught out by early goals.
    4) Make sure Greg sticks to what Greg does best.
    5) After a month give something back.
    6) Sshhhhh, Greg is our secret. :)

  35. Rowen 1 year ago

The Boss you just amused me insanely…”Also we don’t really need an explanation why you don’t like it. It makes no difference to the tip…..”

What is the point of having the comment section then? Just like PedroJord said, if someone has stats or info against what somebody is backing, it benefits everyone. I gave reasoning why I do not see value in the Ukraine bet and that’s all. Greg is by miles the best tipster on this site and I back his NAPs regularily, but that does not mean that there is no space for constructive discussion…

  36. Baz 1 year ago

Love how Greg puts up his nap and says no more, all this nonsense talk its not value and whatever else!! Greg just let’s the bet do the talking, he is a class act and very professional in his tips and I have most respect for the guy!

  37. David wiseman 1 year ago

    Good luck all

    Dave the boss

  38. Wato 1 year ago

Rowen from my post it may have come across that I meant others shouldn’t say wether they don’t fancy the bet and if they have other thoughts or stats to suggest otherwise I agree we are all here to help and if you dont fancy the bet then def best to leave it that’s why we all don’t fancy the same teams or horses or whatever otherwise it would be quite boring on here and betting in general. My post was mainly about the nonsense spoken about you have to go large at these “small” stakes. Ridiculous comments that no one should take any notice of.

  39. Cautious Col 1 year ago

    BOOM…..Russia up already !

    Solid Greg

  40. Andy 1 year ago

Part one of the double in. Go Greig.

  41. Nick 1 year ago

Put the Russia game on in the 30th minute and then this happens 😀

  42. Frastar 1 year ago

I am doing Gregs tip every day for small even stakes. He wins a lot more than he loses and my own bets usually don’t work. Would rather have winners for whatever amount than losers that get you nothing.

  43. PedroJord 1 year ago

Agree there Wato, the stakes/odds are irrelevant as long as you’re winning, but certain people on here seem to think certain tipsters fancys are beyond reproach. Gregs strike rate, amongst others, is great but if I feel he’s off the mark or there’s a bit of info that could make a difference to someone’s thinking over a bet I’ll post it and shouldn’t be ridiculed by idiots. We’re all here to help each other beat the bookies, and sometimes that’s by putting people off a bet as much as tipping something.

I do fancy the double tonight though, might stick super duper stakes on it

My trebles looking decent now too, just need no Montenegro miracle and a Swiss u21 equaliser, then it’s just England to go

  48. Enigma 1 year ago

@jim I have learnt not to wait inplay for odds to rise on greg’s tips again, those early goals make one miss the chance to stake. Better still, split your stake into two-halves place the first half pre-game and wait inplay to place the second. That way even with early goals you don’t miss the bet altogether

  49. PedroJord 1 year ago

Had the Russia game on already as a single, just waiting for the Ukraine game later to hit in play for the 2nd part of the bet

RobertC, happy to now advise cover with 0.5pt on draw at 8-1 with bet365. Full cover Luxembourg double chance is 6-1 but I can’t see them winning from 1-0 down.

  62. RobertC 1 year ago

Fabregas missed penalty – would’ve brought Gregs double home…..

  63. RobertC 1 year ago

2nd for the Slovaks and 1st for the English……good minute! :)

  64. RobertC 1 year ago

I was on my way to cover when the second went in Mr F…..I’m only on them to be winning at half time so will let it run at 2 – 0 – watching it on 365 – looks like Luxembourg haven’t done much outside of winning a few corners

I was just looking at the cover myself – 10/3 on 365.

I’m not risking a fiver though to cover my 20 stake, will just let it ride….I can see there being a second, Spain aren’t full strength and Ukraine need to go for it. Enough quality in the Spain side to nick one maybe as well

I have been on this site for a few years now like Greg, and he is the best goals tipster I have known, and for people to moan about the odds of his selections shouldn’t really be betting. If they are too short for you then leave it, or find another selection you like for a double, it isn’t like they are 1/4 tips. Long term and discipline will see an increase in your betting balance.

On a separate note mate, seeing as you spend a few days a week in Gods country I am assuming you will be getting behind us in the Euros next summer. I may even get you another England top providing it doesn’t end up being a cloth to wash your car like the last one 😀

Just for interest, my Over 2.5 Match Goals bet lost today @ 7/10. Much like Gregs bet today, I could have covered it right up until the first half and more for no loss but I didn’t. Tomorrows bet will also be a 7/10 single, will that win? Maybe, maybe not. That’s betting.

  119. Frastar 1 year ago

So unlucky. Could have cashed out for almost full amount but thought – course there will be another goal. Not Gregs problem my decision. Only small amounts so will bounce back when next tip lands. Still great tipping and in long run will win.

Unlucky not getting the 2nd goal, Cesc obviously had 1-0 on his coupon

  121. PedroJord 1 year ago

Rest of my comment missing.. In profit from the Russia game and covered with no 2nd goal after the early 1st so can’t complain, on to the next one :)

  122. lyall 1 year ago

Not looking to be antagonistic Mr F, but I’m sure you’d agree that it’s trite and overly simplistic to say that it’s better to have a 5/6 winner than a 5-1 loser. Out of four bets it’s better to have one winner at 5-1 and three losers than three winners at 5-6 and one loser (although either would be very acceptable).

My only bet today, apart from Greg’s, was Betfair’s enhanced odds on England to lead 3-0 at anytime. Given that England to score 3 or more was 15-8, this was an excellent price. I actually expected England to win 2-0, but took the odds and won.

Given that none of us has a copy of Gray’s Sports Almanac 2000-2050, and can’t consistently be relied on to pick short-priced winners, the only way to beat the bookies over time is to play the odds ie bet on price boosts, promotions and arbs where one bookie’s price is way out of line (eg I got 10-1 from Skybet on Greg Laidlaw anytime try scorer on Saturday when the next best price was 13-2).

I generally bet on enhanced odds of between 2-1 and 5-1, often on outcomes which I don’t expect. When they do occur, I make good money. It’s much more effective than backing my hunches.

It would be a very useful addition to the site if you had someone who just looked for exceptional prices on things which may well not happen (but just might).

lyall, I mean every time – a 5-6 winner is better than a 5-1 loser.
To be fair people should back what they want at a price they like but not moan if it’s something they don’t like.
As long as you’re aware the higher the odds the less chance of winning that’s fine.
Some like small, regular wins but others prefer to land the odd big one – it’s impossible to please everyone.
I put up a variety of bets because from mail I know that’s what is generally wanted.

It suits many of us to back short prices as it lowers variance on the bankroll if you are getting a return every day or two, rather than backing 5/1 shots, where it’s quite common to have long runs of losing bets before getting a winner. It’s also pretty easy to highlight your winning bets after they win and claim they were good value, you don’t score any points for doing that.

Finding ricks in certain bookies prices can be a good way of getting value but I think this is something you have to do on your own. If there was a column on here pointing them out, the prices would disappear very quickly.

Price boosts and bonuses can also be useful but in my experience, you’ll find your betting account gets restrictions put on it fairly quickly if you start profiting from these too much, so it’s not much of a long term strategy.

Yep, there’s a good variety of bets on the site. I just feel that the emphasis is too much on trying to find winners rather than getting value. I’ve no problem with 4-6 shots if the true odds should be 1-2 (eg when you spotted an bet for rangers to score more against Ayr than Celtic scored against Malmo). But I tend to feel that people should try to focus more on highlighting odds which are out of sync. There is a bit of an attitude that “this should win so it doesn’t matter what the odds are”….

lyall, I can see both sides but it’s more important to find winners than value.
Value bets are great when they win but the likes of Greg puts up enough winners for the odds not to matter.
      Anyway, I’m off. Goodnight.

As someone who bets American sports a lot I would 90% of my bets are odds on as its majority 2 way betting

No problem in a 5/6 or a 4/6 as the odds of course are only reflecting the chance of the outcome

Greg puts winners up consistently so I have no idea why people would moan about the odds of his selections its kind of childish really I mean what more can he do? satisfy other people with higher odds and decrease his chances of a winning bet

Anyway nobody is going to have the same amount of money staked on a 5/6 as a 4/1 shot. Try backing a 4/1 shot over a 5/6 over a course of a fortnight and find out what’s more profitable because I can guarente you it’s the latter

With the first bet winning, cash out for the full stake was available until about 81 minutes in the Spain game.

I backed this NAP yesterday, but covered it early doors when Fabregas missed the penalty.
Looking forward to today’s NAP if there is one. :-)
    Keep them coming Greg.

Plenty of captain hindsights. Although Spain are notorious low scorers so wasn’t on this myself as this is my first post I’d like to give Greg a massive respect, I recouped my months losses on the whitestar result 2.5+ bet the other day. Massive respect
