I COULDN'T resist Robert Lewandowski to score first for Poland and I thought he'd landed me a 2-1 Super Single but the goal's been taken from him and been given as an OG.

After I thought I'd won I put up another Super Single on Peru not to lose in Chile in the early hours of the morning. They lost 2-1 after conceding a late goal and if I'd been up I might have covered.

My only other tip was a loser as Cork went down 2-1 away to Dundalk as the champions turned on the style when they needed it most. That defeated the Top Treble at the first hurdle.

I can't see myself putting up any tips for today or tomorrow but I have an early one for Friday. No reasoning just now but will post a preview of Inverness v Rangers tomorrow night.

    Well done mrf.
Gordon Strachan has to go now. That’s a disgrace.
His team selection over the last 2 games was shocking, and he alone is too blame for the position we are in.
Leigh Griffiths, top goal scorer in the squad a sub.
    Disgrace.

  2. memphis 7 years ago

Might want to change that write up fix it as it was given as an own goal buddy ?

Will do – didn’t know it had been changed. Gutted.

evening mr f did marathon pay out on lewandowski fgs? had him in a l15 fgs on pp and says pending, cheers

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Ha, I haven’t even checked. Was watching the Scotland game and saw he’d scored first.
Now I see it could be an OG so I’ll have a look.

  4. craneguy 7 years ago

evening jazzer, never mind just Griffiths what about Rhodes et all cannae even get in the squad ffs………..

  5. john smith 7 years ago

GS team selection is baffling. After Sat game he said Chris Martin (who can’t score in a brothel just now) was outstanding, so why did he drop him lol. Griffiths deserves his chance, he’s the man in form so whats GS got against him. Tierney is another bang in form but Robertson was probably MOTM for Scotland on Sat so why was he dropped? But the whole defence was shocking tonight, tear yer hair oot stuff.
GS needs to go now but who to replace him…………

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

He needs to go I think but as you say who could do better with not a great group of players.
Sam Allardyce is available I believe.

    • Alves 7 years ago

Watched about 25 mins of the game and Tierney played well from what I saw but Griffiths being left out again is crazy, Deila will get it and convince Broonie to come out of international retirement to beat the English into 2nd spot…

  6. Alves 7 years ago

Said it on yday thread couldn’t believe the price for Slovakia and it could prove to be GS last game, he’ll maybe see out the England game but that’ll be it now. Cancelled Griffiths anytime and stuck fivers on England Denmark Czech enhanced treble haha other treble came in though for £28 Slovakia Lithuania Poland to win/2+ gls with the Poles leaving it late ? Slovakia and 2+ gls was 21/10 so would’ve bn gutted if the 1/4 shot let it down.

  7. craneguy 7 years ago

js, radio clyde said Robertson was out coz of an injury hence Tierney got started cant see why we have 3 cracking left backs Robertson, Wallace and Tierney one of them could surely fill in as a right back as patersons never a defender an is kin murder apart from a long throw…….. marshalls no a good keeper and hanley an martin couldnae keep doos oot a loft………. in ma day danny mcgrain played in both positions nae bother an a think all 3 could tae……… fekn fletcher up front again he couldnae score in a barrel of fannies man ffs……… sorry for the rant mr f just beelin once again totally sick

    • john smith 7 years ago

Craneguy, fkn love yer analogies! Couldnae keep doos oot of a loft! ??
Hope Robertson isn’t injured for long. Hanley and Martin against England at Wembley? Thats a disaster waiting to happen. Feels all the worse tonight bacause yet another WC qualifying campaign is looking doomed just as its started.

The Night Owl sees me in Brasil’s Serie B with a bottom of the table clash…

SAMPAIO CORRÊA VS. OESTE (23.15 KO):

I don’t have this down for a goal-fest but it does appeal nonetheless.

If you look at the last two H2Hs that were played out at Sampaio’s place, both games featured score draws with 1-1 and 2-2 scorelines.

Oeste aren’t in great form (nor are the home side!) but, again, look closely at their away scoring record: 12 of 16 games have seen them notch a goal and discount the lsst 2 aways against pretty decent opposition and it looks even better.

What of Sampaio’s scoring tally at home then? They have scored in 8 out of their last 11 games on home soil with 4 out of the most recent 4 getting the green light!

    One selection:

    BTTS…4/5

Mr F.. Your tips have been woeful of late. Was wondering if you actually do as much research anymore or concentrate more on other areas and your Daily Record? If it wasn’t for Greg and Jordan and a few other regulars this site would be buried! Up your game. That is all

Thats wrong, hes had plenty of winners of late, just these last few days hes had 13/1 away team acca saturday,Hunguary -1,& a few trebles come in,just go back 1week&you will see,as saying up your game if football went as we wanted it to go then who would take our bets as bookies wouldnt,no one has hindsight so show a little repect,if you can do better show your tips&then if they are all winners then maybe you can have shout, until then if you disagree with sonething at least do it professionly as we all have different views on outcomes which helps all but having a dig without proper grounds is no help at all, look forward to your Winning tips,i need all the help i can get, thanks

Why don’t you up your game to the top of the page and look at the profit figures?

Then maybe you could so something constructive like put up a few tips yourself or thank Mr F for the time that goes into finding and researching games.

Failing that, you could just f*ck off?

      That is all.

Castillo are playing today at 1200 in the Spanish women’s second division – this seasons form P5 F0 A89 this includes losses of 27-0 and 24-0. Their best result being a 10-0 defeat. I am not expecting this to appear in play however will be keeping an eye out just in case – Could this be the worst team in world football?

    • HullShaker 7 years ago

      Haha…love it hudson

“their best result is a 10-0 defeat”

      ??

    • simpledxb 7 years ago

What is the full name of this team… cannot find anything by way of research?

    • elvis parsley 7 years ago

No, given the resources at their disposal, England are the worst team in world football.
Micronesia under 23 take some beating though, the last 3 times they played included a 38-0 defeat to fiji and a 46-0 defeat to vanuata if I’m not mistaken

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Looking at it from outside the main problem England face is all the best players in the Premier League are foreign.
Everything’s been put into making the league so strong and the national team suffers. Having a decent boss would help though.

Off to Germany for some Bundesliga action this weekend (not a figure of speech I am actually going).
If you’d have said when we looked at the fixtures before the season started that we’d be watching three of the top four I’d have laughed at you.

Fly out Friday morning to arrive in Dusseldorf and then to Cologne where our hotel is, quick drop off of the bags and then on to the Westfalenstadion, Signal Iduna for Dortmund v Hertha Berlin. Have been fortunate enough to get tickets in the ‘yellow wall’ and to put it simply I’m like a kid waiting for Christmas. Going to be one amazing experience, although we have had to fork out the best part of £82 a ticket for a €16.50 standing ticket off viagogo but I can overlook that for this one. Dortmund have a few injury problems with Reus, Bartra, Bender and Ramos doubts for the game and with an in form Hertha visiting it should be an exciting game. (2nd v 3rd)
Onto Saturday it’s a stay in Cologne so we won’t have far to travel to see the overachievers of the Bundesliga so far. A 1-1 draw away at Bayern in their last game has only underlined their great start to the season and are a very decent price at home to Ingolstadt who are struggling near the foot of the table. It’s hard to see anything but a home win and there is some serious early value to be had for the home side.

I’ve gone with a decent staked double on the following:
Dortmund to win and over 2.5 goals
Koln to win and over 1.5 goals
Odds of over 3/1 for the double.

If people are looking at singles there seems real value for Koln to do the business.

Potential bets, I would say these are likely to get shorter nearer the weekend.

    Koln to win
    5/6

Koln to win and over 1.5 goals
    29/20

Koln to win and over 2.5 goals
    47/20

    Koln -1
    23/10

    Koln -2
    13/2

PS anyone thats been out to these venues before, any advice would be greatly received :)

    • mr. orange 7 years ago

I have been to both stadiums. For a prematch drink at Dortmund you should check out Strobels, it’s next to the stadium by the fanshop and museum. Music, beers and bratwurst all in one place. Inside the stadium don’t throw away your drinking cup, you get a deposit for it.

There is not a lot around Koln’s stadium. There are some drinking spots around the stadium’s U-Bahn station on Aachenerstrasse. The city centre is great fun, lots of pubs.

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Enjoy the game – did you know for £2 cheaper you could have bought a Bankies season ticket and had that experience each week.
We also have a yellow wall but that’s down a lack of toilet facilities.

    • crofty 7 years ago

Enjoy it Craigyboy only advise I can give you having been a couple of seasons back is get in early and take it all in. Yellow wall get into the ground around an hour and a half before kick off and the build up to the game is amazing to watch.
We were the opposite end of the stadium and it’s on my list of things to do again to go back and be in the wall.

Hope you have a great trip.

    • craigyboy 7 years ago

Cheers guys! Cannot wait now…some great tips there. Will definitely check out Strobels and will be in nice and early.

@mr-fixit it seems the Mac is back. Steve McClaren back at Derby as head coach.
It doesn’t take an idiot to know he went to Newcastle for the money and I’m sure everyone on here would agree that as soon as he’d put pen to paper, his p45 was already typed out at Newcastle, it just needed a date stamp.
Its most probably the reason that Alan Shearer will never take the job, he’d go from club legend to club joke inside 6 months.

Time will tell if McClaren can do the biz for the Rams, we know he CAN make an impact on his arrival. When Derby were managerless with the Mac in the stands and either 3 or 4 nil down at ht at home to Ipswich, he dived into the changing rooms and the Rams played like Barcelona in the 2nd half. 4-4 that match ended and we were banging on the door for a 5th until the final whistle.
Shortly after his arrival, ( which was about this time of the season ) we went on a stunning run, I think we got 9 wins on the bounce before a 1 nil sunk us around new year.
I did say that October/November is when the Rams find their feet and as he really nailed on the 4-3-3, he knows how to work it. Hopefully he can make it work without Hendrick and Martin.
I thought the stand-in Chris Powell did an excellent job of stopping the rot, very unlucky not to have 2 wins on the bounce, but at least we’re pointing in the right direction when we take on Leeds. Cannot wait.

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

It’s not the response I thought you’d give – I thought you’d be dead against it.
I’m amazed they’ve taken him back but lots of chairmen make strange decisions.

    • snowster 7 years ago

Unfortunately he is a woeful manager/coach as any England/Newcastle/forest/wolfsberg fans will tell you. He bungled euro qualification, bungled promotion for Derby and bungled Newcastle out of the premier league.

Your comments on Newcastle are slightly off as well, he had an expensively assembled squad which he just could not motivate nor make work and the club should have acted swifter to remove and they would still be in the Prem. The club actually backed both him and pardew before him well, however when it comes down to it neither were/are good enough – or certainly anywhere near Rafa standard.

Shearer helped take the club down but in fairness that was more JFK and the Keenan debacle before him. He won’t take the mantle til Ashley goes and I think he has a comfy seat on MOTD anyway (plus no credentials)

For what it’s worth I hope he does ok, there’s just nothing to suggest he will

    • nathanufton 7 years ago

McClaren did well at derby the first time around, he ummed and arred about his linkage to the Newcastle job instead of either flatly denying it or outing himself. Didn’t he win the Dutch league on his first go? I remember his accent thats all over youtube in the press conferences. He also did well as Fergusons assistant at old Trafford and a good spell at Borough.
I agree with you about Ashley, people with his business ethics shouldn’t be owning a football club, I remember when he changed the stadium name.
The problem with anyone who takes up the mantle at Newcastle is the fans demand/expect instant success and if they don’t get it, the manager is gone.
I remember Ashley going backwards and forwards as to whether he was gonna sell the club, you lot had that right in the middle of a relegation dogfight – I’m going back a few years now, but once the club was safe, Ashley took the club off the market.
With todays football, anything is possible, Leicester smashed and grabbed the title last year, look where villa are ( European cup winners ) , remember Leeds – semi’s of the European cup, 2 seasons later in the third tier of footie. Portsmouth freefalling, rangers disbanding and having to restart.
Nothing these days is a guarantee and no amount of money will fix it – just look at Derby. McClaren will know the boss won’t be buying anytime soon which I think is right, I just hope we somehow manage to offload Darren Bent before Mrs Morris sees the next bank statement.

    • snowster 7 years ago

Respect your view but I think that “Newcastle fans demand instant success” is a total myth personally. They’ve never won anything in my lifetime and yet the club manages to achieve c50.000 gates – even in the champ. Is that demanding success? Media myth I tell thee!

Re: Bent, think you are stuck with him until the contract runs out or he is paid off I’m afraid. He has a touch of the adebayors about him where he plays well on loan then signs and puts his feet up! Maybe Schteve will motivate the best out of him……

  45. acsafc 7 years ago

Any non league experts out there? +2.5 goals in both Leatherhead & Frome Town looks good to me short odds. Also on Havant & Waterlooville to score +1.5

  46. cockerspaniel 7 years ago

celts1888, We had the same problem in Barcelona a few years ago they would not let anyone with a British passport buy a ticket.
What a lot of people did was to get some Irish guys and St Pauli fans who were there
supporting Celtic to purchase the tickets for them, it was no problem.

I don’t know how it works in Germany but that is how they done it in Spain.

    • cockerspaniel 7 years ago

Forgot to add, the tickets were for the away end only.

    • cockerspaniel 7 years ago

Sorry they were for the HOME end only

  48. HullShaker 7 years ago

    Evening gents,

Northern Ireland League Cup for me tonight…

    COLERAINE VS. KNOCKBREDA:

Knockbreda sit rock-bottom of the NI Championship with the second worst g/d of -14 after 9 games (only one team worse…see below!)

Coleraine are of fairly sound form in recent games scoring: 2-2-2-1-2-3-3-4 team goals in the process.

So Coleraine can undoubtably score a few – what about the away sides ability to concede goals?

Knockbreda have conceded the following goals in their most recent 10 games: 2-3-2-3-1-3-2-3-4-5.

    3 selections to consider:

    OVER 3.5 MGS…4/7

    OVER 4.5 MGS…13/10

    OVER 5.5 MGS…13/5

    ANNAGH UTD v CLIFTONVILLE:

So here’s the team that may sit one place above Knockbreda but they have an even worse g/d…in fact it’s horrific…-28 after 9 games
    ..twice as poor as Knockbreda!

Write up for form as in the above game but goals scored/conceded respectively as follows:

    Cliftonville: 1-3-3-7-1-2-11-2 (scored)

    Annagh: 3-7-4-9-4-1 (Knockbreda)-2-5-4-3-3

    3 selections to consider:

    OVER 3.5 MGS…1/2

    OVER 4.5 MGS…11/10

    OVER 5.5 MGS…11/5

    OVER 3.5 MGS DOUBLE…

  49. HullShaker 7 years ago

    Arrghh posted to early…

    OVER 3.5 MGS DOUBLE…1.39/1

my bets i do of mr f tips since January 1st of this year. as you can see profit of €790 also i have missed out on some winning tips which would have more profit showing. point is, over time mr f DOES make profit and can go on a bad run as can anyone so no point just getting on his tips now and then as its easy to just get on his losing tips that way. stats below prove what we already knew about mr f anyway.

Sounds like a great weekend @craneguy. Been in Groningen once for a stag, the only thing I remember is that the bars don’t have closing times. I can imagine you didn’t want to travel to the Vitesse game. For Dutch people the trip from Groningen to Arnhem and back is seen as one hell of a trip! :)

    Night Owl:

El Salvador the destination tonight and the win er of this will leapfrog into second spot so plenty to play for…

    PASAQUINA VS. ÁGUILA (22.00 KO):

All about home/away form for me here: Pasaquina have lost their last 2 at home – both to teams beneath them.

In fact, its 1 win in 5 for the home side who were spanked 0-4 by 9th placed Firpo last time out who tonight’s visitors beat 2-1 just the other week.

Aguila are doing slright and I was well impressed when I looked through their away games…something like 9 unbeaten away from home – thst some going in SA where home dominance is often king.

    2 selections:

    BTTS…3/4

    OVER 2.5 MGS…19/20

Good luck all one a late ?

  71. craneguy 7 years ago

@mr-orange we were drinking in the Tivoli bar mostly just across the canal from train station, arts centre and cinema complex if you know where I am? not far from the grotte market, no smoking signs all over the bar but everyone smoking and beers in hand……. asked the boy what the score was just said fek it I get fined I pay the council the fine………… brilliant attitude……………. his place was packed others were near empty…………..

    • mr. orange 7 years ago

Is there a smoking ban? Haha

  72. craneguy 7 years ago

very very liberal country mr f pretty much anything goes as long as you behave……….. cant get a fekn bet on though as limited to small stakes at government outlets and some casinos 20 euro max, most bars take all bets though at decent odds………….

    • HullShaker 7 years ago

Bloody Nora…like a Craneguy travel-log on here tonight…get a grip man, you sound like Judith Charmers.
