ANDY MURRAY lifted his fifth title of the year with China Open glory yesterday and now heads to the Shanghai Masters as he steps up his bid to overhaul world No.1 Novak Djokovic.

Djokovic sat out the China Open but is back for Shanghai and tops the betting at 6-4 with Coral followed by Murray (10-3, Betfair) and US Open chap Stan Wawrinka (12-1, Betfair).

Today's opening-round action includes British No.2 Kyle Edmund – beaten in the quarters by Murray last week – against Federico Delbonis plus the likes of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Alexander Zverev.

NFL week five rounds up tonight with Carolina Panthers against Tampa Bay Buccaneers and snooker's English Open gets under way in Manchester where Ronnie O'Sullivan is 4-1 title favourite at Betfair.

Other sporting highlights include cricket and baseball so as usual feel free to share your tips and thoughts.

These might not have been seen but posted on the old thread and have added one more on this thread.

Eddie Lacy (Green Bay Packers) Over 64.5 Rushing Yards @ 10/11 @ William Hill – 3.3 points

    Odell Beckham & Jordy Nelson Anytime TD @ 7/2 @ Skybet – 1 point

Odell Beckham 2 TD’s and Over 150.5 Receiving Yards @ 14/1 @ Skybet – 0.5 a point – Obviously a long shot, but you’ve seen how players can go off on any given night. Odell is without question one of the best receivers in the league, with Randall struggling against Jones and Diggs in the last two weeks, and missing the last two days of practice with a hamstring injury, Odell could easily put up a line like Julio Jones last week.

Jordy Nelson Over 74.5 Receiving Yards & TD, Odell Beckham Over 74.5 Receivng Yards & TD @ 11/2 @ Skybet – 1 point

Good luck and well done any winners.

Few more big plays and the 11/2 might have had a chance. Still, big turn around after a shocking two weeks. Pretty sure its back in profit. Totals updated after The Panthers game. Well done all.

Wow hats off to you Jordan great week smashed it!

I was one from 4 last night in a disappointing evening. Needed one more point in the GB game and the Bears conceded a late TD to the colts to mess that one up!
I chose the immovable object in the Denver Broncos against the unstoppable force that are the Falcons and called it wrong. Denver have done me enough favours over the years so I can let that one slide!

Might post a tip for the game later on if I have time to look over it properly.

    • john smith 7 years ago

What happened to the Denver defence? Not like them to lose so heavily.

    • Jordan 7 years ago

They were ripped apart by probably the best two-headed running back pairing in the league right now mate. They were so determined to keep Julio Jones quiet that it left holes for Freeman and Coleman to eat up the yards.

Hey Jordan, been following you for a while with your top tips , finally decided to get involved.
NFL is my main focus and you seem to be well on top of your game when making your picks. i’ll hopefully be able to add a winner or 2.
Weeks 1 -5 have been kind to me and have a nice profit overall.
the player prop bets I’ve found a great angle for winners.
has anyone come across any sites that allow you to double up on prop bets ?
Tonight’s game is going to put the Panthers back on course with an easy win over the Bucs.
Panthers OVER 25.5 POINTS @ 4/5 (10pts @ €10 per pt)- Bucs have coincided 24-40-32-27 in their 4 games – even with Newton out they have a very good back up in Anderson and in him i trust.
Greg Olsen has to be fancied to get OVER 59.5 receiving yards @ 4-6 – 3pts

    • Jordan 7 years ago

Hello mate. Cheers. Paddy Power let you double up props but not for the same game. As you’ll see below, Skybet let you request a bet via Twitter where you can pick multiple props for the game. Good luck with your bets.

    Afternoon gents.

Tonights game see’s an NFC South division game between the .250 Buccaneers @ Panthers. MVP Cam Newton is a scratch after he suffered a concussion last week, so Derek Anderson will get the start for Carolina. Cam hasn’t looked good at all this year, and when you compare the two QB performances last week, Anderson despite throwing two picks still had the better stats.

Both sides are trending towards the over this season, both defences are giving up 29.5+ points with the Buccs averaging 6.4 points over their total, and Carolina a big 12.6 points above theirs. With a total of 45.5 I’d slide with the over, or even Tampa’s team total of 19.5 @ 5/6 @ 365. The Panthers were ripped, and I mean ripped apart by Julio Jones last week for 300 yards, and tonight they’ll face another big, strong and fast WR who can stretch the field in Mike Evans. Evans will be licking his lips knowing he’s going up against the same secondary that Julio put his line up against, and seeing 25 targets in his last two games (43 in his last 3) he’ll be sure to have a decent night. Bookies already protecting this though and his lowest line I can see right now is 80.5 @ 17/20 @ Ladbrokes. It’s more than likely, but I’m inclined to take a different route with 365 offering his longest pass received at 26.5 @ 4/5. Julio caught passes of 22, 32, 43, 53 and 75 yards last week. If that’s not a trend I don’t know what is. Obviously Carolina will be looking to sure up their holes in the secondary, but its easier said than done with Mike Adams arguably a top 10 receiver himself.

It’s not just the wide receivers they’ve struggled against though. They’ve given up the sixth most amount of yards to Tight Ends in the last two weeks, and 3 TD’s, the most in the NFL. With Winston building a strong connection with his own Tight End, Cameron Brate (18 targets and 10 receptions for 113 yards and 2 TD’s) I expect Brate to get plenty of looks tonight too.

With Anderson at QB it’s difficult to know where he’s going to favour to throw the most. You can always rely on Greg Olsen, and he saw plenty of targets from Anderson in the redzone last week. Tampa have been good against Tight Ends this season, but the opposing Tight Ends they’ve faced aren’t anywhere near Olsen’s status. Without Newton to punch it in on the goal line with a run, they’ll probably look to the sure handed Tight End here again.

Both QB‘s prefer to throw and there will like be turnovers/sacks but can’t find a decent enough market. Defensive/ST TD also possible but I’d favour with Carolina’s price of 10/3 @Skybet/BV

    Cameron Brate (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) Over 43.5 Receiving Yards @ 5/6 @ 365 – 3 points

Mike Evans (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) Longest Pass Received Over 26.5 Yards @ 4/5 @ 365 – 2.5 points

    Cameron Brate Anytime TD @ 13/5 @ PP – 1 point

    Greg Olsen (Carolina Panthers) Anytime TD @ 6/4 @ William Hill/Coral/Betfair – 1 point

As always with the tv games you get a chance to request-a-bet with Skybet which I’ve done, so I’ll post if they put it up. Good luck if you follow and cheers for the words.

  13. Jordan 7 years ago

Skybet have accepted my bet request and I’m happy to see it’s tasty odds.

Cameron Brate TD & Over 40 Receiving Yards, Greg Olsen TD, Over 3.5 Sacks, Over 1.5 Turnovers, Defense/ST TD @ 20/1 – 0.5 a point

    • lee cunliffe 7 years ago

Looks good mate just been looking at the game myself and looking at couple of request bets, looking at teddy gina and Mike Evans yards too. Can’t see it being a running game so the sacks n turnovers are good just the special teams or defensive td worries me, never bet on that market myself then again it’s 20/1, you know what happens though we start predicting a 38-31 match and it becomes a borefest

  14. lee cunliffe 7 years ago

Nice one @jordan wish I’d done your bets rather thsn my own, must have still been pissed when putting my accas together good stuff mate
