MONDAY should have been a no-bet for me but I was willing to risk 0.9pts on a treble.

Under 2.5 goals at Wurzburger landed but Lens drew and there were no goals in the FA Cup tie between Southport and Fleetwood.

Well done to anyone who picked a winner and while the card wasn't for me there's nothing wrong with having a bet if you've done some research.

Tuesday's a little better with Dundee United v Dunfermline in the Scottish Championship and Annan v Montrose in League Two. After a difficult start United will go joint top with their sixth straight win and should get it.

The signing of Tony Andreu on loan from Norwich changed United's fortunes and it looks a straight fight between them and Hibs for the title as was predicted at the start of the season.

United, who will be weakened by the loss of injured defender Paul Dixon, are no bigger than 4-6 with Coral so I'm going to double them up with both to score at Annan v Montrose which is the riskier part of the bet.

Both sides are struggling in League Two and Montrose handed Edinburgh City their first win as a senior club at the weekend. Annan are favourites to win this but it's difficult to trust them. I thought about Annan to score 2+ but eight of their last 10 games have seen both scoring so I'm going for that.

Montrose to score is a slight worry but they're playing a side who usually conceded and seven of the last eight meetings have been high scoring.

In England there are EFL Trophy games and I'll picked out a treble. First up I'm going for Leicester U-23s to beat Walsall simply going by team news. Leicester say they'll field up to five first-team players including Leonardo Ulloa while Walsall will field mainly youngsters.

Add over 2.5 goals at Norwich U-23s v MK Dons and Chelsea U-23s v Oxford. Norwich kids have netted 11 in their two matches and Greg's taken a double of Norwich and Chelsea which fills me with confidence. I'd earlier taken Wycombe v Coventry but that's a Wednesday game.

Elsewhere there are some National League matches and not much else as we continue the build-up to the World Cup qualifiers.

I like the look of those tips mr f. Just one worry is Dunfermline or the draw is getting a lot of the money on it and i can’t understand why. Have you heard anything?

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Who is taking a lot of money on that?
      The WDW prices haven’t changed.
Haven’t heard anything but will check in the morning.

    • stagger 7 years ago

Does john smith mean Dunfermiline double chance? Not much movement there, 13/10 best to 11/10 worst, to my eyes. Unless I am missing something.

    • john smith 7 years ago

Wow on odds comparison it showed all the money going on Dunfermline or the draw 2 days ago now its all the other way, on united! Sorry guys.

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

The only negative for Dundee Utd is defender Paul Dixon, a key man, is injured.

I know this is not the thread for it, but am hoping for some advice if anyone can help me. I’m off to Dortmund on the 3rd Dec and am trying to get tickets to watch Dortmund v m’gladbach. I’ve tried the website but it limits you to two tickets and I’d like to try and get three together. Does anyone know if this is possible and how? Any help would be much appreciated

    • cockerspaniel 7 years ago

hombre3000 Why don`t you try e-mailing the club?

    • craigyboy 7 years ago

@hombre3000, I went last month to watch the Berlin game.
We made a bit of a boo boo in the sense that my mate phoned up about a month before the game to the English speaking customer service team (don’t sell tickets). They advised at that time that the tickets were only on sale to members and that they would only be on general sale about two weeks before the game ( our mate didn’t mention this).
The rest of us had noticed that they tended to put up general sale tickets a week before the game, so we waited.
When it got to the Friday before the game we started to panic and noticed that for the Berlin game it said tickets were only available via telephone. When I called their ticket number it was all automated and in German (not a scooby what the options were). After a couple of random presses of numbers I’d decided that I’d have more chance of winning the lottery than guessing the different options to get through.
Another of my mates had called the customer service (English speaking) and told us that they had sold the last tickets the day before.
As it was we then ventured onto Viagogo and decided to plump for £80 tickets in the Yellow wall. Overpriced..yes, but what an experience.
I vowed I’d have to do it again.
The day after we attended the Koln v Ingolstadt game and again, great atmosphere. 50k there to watch a 2-1 win and a Modeste brace.
      Are you staying in Dortmund?
The beauty of that area is that there are quite a few teams with an hour and a half train ride. So if your lucky with the fixtures and your prepared to train it one of the days you can take in a couple of games. Schalke (they’ll be away with Dortmund at home), Monchengladbach, Koln, Leverkusen and Fortuna Dusseldorf are all in the vicinity.
Word of warning…I waited till I was over there to get my Dortmund shirt but it set me back £80 as opposed to the £55 you can get them ordered online for.

    • hombre3000 7 years ago

Tried that @cockerspaniel seems tickets available to general public in a couple weeks. Thanks @craigyboy I think I’ll pay over the odds as really want to go. We are staying in Düsseldorf so not far but Dortmund is the one that appeals the most. Just worried getting 3 together won’t happen as this is a faith local derby and imagine it will be sold out. Thanks for the tip, think I’ll order the shirt online this week

    • craigyboy 7 years ago

Never thought of it as being a derby. We nearly went for the Schalke game but decided against due to the potential difficulty in getting tickets. Not as big as the Schalke game so you should be okay.

    • hombre3000 7 years ago

Maybe not a derby but they are quite close by towns. Finger crossed I get some. Thanks for your help mate!

@Mr Fixit or anyone else, my local bookies offers slightly above evens on the Leicester u23 win. I see it as just good enough for my super single since ur post says team news (starting first team players), do u think its worth it? Thanks

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Obviously I am going to say yes when I’ve tipped them. In my local Ladbrokes they were 13-10 on the coupon but been cut to 4-5.
The Leicester website says up to 5 first team players could be involved but you could leave until line-ups are confirmed.

Mate I went over to Dortmund v Bremen in April! We stayed in koln! Got train down to game maybe 4/5 hours before kick off! We didn’t have tickets! Touts where trying to charge us up to 120 euro for a ticket cause they class this game as type A game! We hung around and managed to get 3 for 70 each! We ended up in Bremen end n my uncle ended up in the wall section in Dortmund! We had a ball was brilliant! Atmosphere was superb! Finished 3-2 Dortmund after 0-0 At half time! We could have got 3 sitting together for 100 each but we hung on so up to you on the day! But we saw loads of touts selling them! They said only games you would struggle for tickets is bayern/schalke! Hope this helps

    Evening gents,

    STOKE CITY U23 VS. BURY:

    All about goals here!

You have to track back 9 games to find a match where Stoke didn’t find the net and BTTS has featured heavily with 8 of their last 9 getting the green light.

For their part (though it pains me to say) The Mighty Shakers have been one of the most consistent teams for goals in the EFL…unfortunately most of those goals were ‘against’!

We have conceded 2 or more goals in every single one of our last 8 games – shocking stuff and a sad indictment of Bury’s fall from early season grace…who’d be a football fan?

On the plus side, whilst we can’t keep a clean sheet, we do invariably score at least a consolation goal and 13 out of our last 15 games saw both teams scoring.

Whilst it sounds like we’ll be playing a reserve(ish) side (which is all we are left with practically due to an etensive injury list), I hear Stoke will be giving Crouch, Bojan and a few other a run-out.

Three selections in a game that I think has the potential for a few goals and truth be told, I think we may well come off worst ?

    BTTS & OVER 2.5 MGS…EVENS

    OVER 3.5 MGS…13/8

    BTTS BOTH HALVES…11/1

    Best of luck ?

Spennymoor spot in-play fared better and although they fell a goal short of the 4TGS 5/1, they hit 3 to bring in a welcome 7/4.

Any night owls? Think I will be leaving it

  28. HullShaker 7 years ago

The Night Owl sees me in Brasil with a face like a smacked arse and, not for the first time, looking for a shot at redemption…

BAHIA VS. SAMPAIO CORRÊA (23.30 KO):

Bahia start this one hot favourites and understandably so with SC languishing in bottom spot whilst the home side could jump from 4th to 2nd with a good wind.

The goal difference is almost identical: Bahia 22 and SC 23…only joking – you’ll need to put a ‘+’ in front of Bahia’s and a dirty great ‘-‘ in front of SC’s which speaks volumes about the journey each side has been on this campaign.

Games and results are very often transferable in Brasil’s A and B league’s and by that I mean it is possible to match a teams result and performance against a given team and loosely forecast the outcome of that team against another.

For example, 2nd bottom side Tupi are on a par with SC and have very similar results against given teams. SC recently drew 1-1 with Tupi wheras Bahia beat Tupi 4-0, again in a recent game.

It is reasonable to think Bahia are capable of a similar scoreline against SC tonight and a 3-0 or 4-0 scoreline could be on the cards.

H2Hs don’t offer much support and Bahia team goals ought to be the way here:

    BAHIA OVER 2.5 TGS…10/11

    BAHIA OVER 3.5 TGS…23/10

Good luck to all on a late one ?
