HEARTS were Hearts, Hearts Glorious Hearts as my main Super Single landed but I lost a point on a second more speculative punt on Livingston at 11-5.
My accas were close but no cigar – for example two draws and two aways out of four but losers nevertheless – and it would have been nice to land one of them.
In a way my best tip was a non-tip – warning people off FA Cup jollies including Coventry (including Greg) and Plymouth. Apologies to readers of my Daily Record column where I tipped them but last night I had time to read match previews for the all the cup ties and team news from Coventry put me off them while Plymouth boss Derek Adams suggested he's rotate players at home to Carlisle.
Greg's nap was over 2.5 goals at Coventry and was up inside 19 minutes. His other tips never made it to the site before kick-off but luckily you didn't miss any winners. And it was good to see Desmond's 2+ goals double land at 3-1 thanks to Hearts and Fulham even though this one to 90 minutes.
Sunday is a big day for us with the planned launch of the new site. From my Euro shortlist I've chosen Dortmund for the Top Treble and they are joined by Man City at Aston Villa and Newport at Brackley in the FA Cup. Dortmund have won six in a row since being humbled 5-1 by Bayern Munich and should take care of an inconsistent Schalke at home in a game with plenty of goals.
Yesterday's tactic of a 2pt Super Single and longer odds at 1pt worked well and I'm doing the same today with Dundalk to beat Cork in the FAI Cup Final and Maidstone at home to Yeovil in the FA Cup on their 3G pitch. National League South side Maidstone have won nine in a row.
All season we've made money on Dundalk and goals, right up until they clinched the title and took their foot off the gas. They finished 11 points clear of second-placed Cork and crucially have won four and drawn two of the last six meetings.
Even more importantly their best player Richie Towell is available to play and with the Dundalk players saying doing the Double would be “spectacular” I'm on them to handle the big occasion better than their rivals and win in 90 minutes at the Aviva.

I wouldn’t mind the main tipsters were just for the members. Fantasy football scout started out small. Now they have all the good stuff for members only.
Doubt anyone will be up to see this but there’s a game kicking off in Russia at 6:00AM which sees Baikal play at home to a side called Tosno. This game will be kicking off at 2:00PM local time, but the away side play in a time zone 5 hours behind. So the body clocks will be giving them a 9:00AM kick off realistically. If you look at this league you’ll see its goals a plenty which is no surprise with the distances the teams travel. This journey is almost half of Russia, 5,600km. Interesting to see how the away side hold up. Baikal have only failed to score once at home in nine games with the away side losing 7 of their road games. Doubt there’s a journey much bigger for many domestic games in the world.

I’ve always bet on a win, but have now changed tact and become more open to various ways of beating the bookies! For instance yesterday I took greg’s and hullshaker’s tips and added them to mine, hearts to win, and Burnley to win…. As such turned over a nice profit, Burnley the only downside!
Another thing I’ve learnt is before I was playing for high stakes, and made money rapidly, but at the same time, also got wiped out often, which believe me, destroys you! Now my stakes are much lower, which in turn, impacts less on your emotions…. It’s a marathon not a sprint!

Guys might have spotted a game that represents good value and I think the bookies have the handicaps all wrong. Cyprus women’s game at 9am between Kokkinochoria and Anorthosis. The Asian lines are set at -8.0 & +8.0
These sides have met 6 times previously with Anorthisis winning the last 3 meetings 4-1,5-1 and 1-0. 5-1 being the biggest winning margin,Anorthisis have scored 13 in 6 meetings against today’s opponents.
The home side only lost 31 goals in 16 games in the whole of last season and have only ever lost by more than 7 goals on 1 occasion in 4yrsand that was 14-0 last week but that was against Limassol who hammer everyone in the division including Anorthisis.
Anorthosis have won their first 2 games 18-0 & 14-0 but that was against 2 of the worst teams in the country who lose heavy most weeks.
Given that they have never lost by more than 4 goals too Anorthosis I reckon the home side +8.0 AH @ 2.300 looks way overpriced and the bookies have looked at the first results of the season and based the prices on that

Today there is one game I really fancy and it’s an early kick-off at 11am.

Everything points towards goals here. Athletic, on average, are scoring 2 goals per game at home while Espanyol are averaging 1.4 goals scored away from home. 71% of Athletic’s home games have gone over 2.5 while 100% of Espanyol’s away games have gone over 2.5!
