BRENTFORD had me buzzing all afternoon with a wonderful display to wallop Wolves. That's two 4-0 Super Singles in a row – and I've got no idea why I'm not backing them -3!
Seriously, it doesn't matter how the selection wins but it will please some people when I don't bang on about covering even though it would probably cost less than a quid when your team is two or three goals up.
Brentford were a best 7-5 but I quoted 6-5 because as often as possible I use 10bet prices on the top tips post as they are the current sponsor. Someone said “try Oddschecker” and for most bets I use Oddschecker or Betrescue “after all I am a Betrescue advert on wheels”.
But remember no odds comparison site or even the Racing Post's excellent price guide which is printed in Friday and Saturday's paper will give the absolute industry-best odds because they only quote firms who pay them to be included.
Elsewhere, I thought I'd put up a fairly safe Top Treble with Man Utd, QoS and Chelsea but Sunderland parked the bus and won a point and I assume Jose Mourinho was suitable impressed by the tactic.
My European fourfold was also short-priced at 6-4 but this come in thanks to wins by Sporting, PSG, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. Bayern won 1-0 and it was the only German game to go under 3.5 goals – so well done to anyone who backed overs and left out the clash at Hertha Berlin.
Four homes out of five paid about 10-1 for anyone who took the advice to perm with Barnsley beating an 18-1 fivefold. Seven out of eight teams on my btts fourfold scored – and it was Derby who surprisingly let it down and they killed the aways too.
If Chelsea had won my four main bets would all have been profitable (assuming a Euro success) but anyone who knows my staking plan will be aware I always profit when the Super Single wins as that makes up 50 per cent of my daily stakes.
So we move on to Sunday and another busy card. In the Premier League Europa League rivals Spurs and Everton meet at White Hart Lane while champions Man City visit Southampton. Both should be closely-fought and going for goals could be the best bet here.
In Scotland there are two cracking cup ties with Rangers first up against Kilmarnock and Celtic visiting Hearts. I'm finding the Rangers tie tough to call but William Hill's Owen Scott reminds me Lewis Macleod has netted in every home cup clash this season and that's his bet.
Owen, by the way, will be seated in the directors' box at Ibrox due to William Hill's sponsorship of the tournament but he asks not to be mistaken for a potential buyer – he doesn't want his car kicked lumps out of.
I've already said I expect Celtic to win at Tynecastle and a potential Super Single is John Guidetti to score at 1-1 with Betfred.
Highlights on the continent include Barcelona at Valencia, Dortmund at Frankfurt and the Juventus v Torino derby.
I've been studying the card for a few hours and first up is my goals line – and I'll put up a separate post with reasoning. Note it starts with the 11.30am Dutch encounter.
Having picked a fourfold that paid 6-4 on Saturday I'm going for a Top Treble that returns 2-1. My three picks come from a shortlist of eight – Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, Barcelona, Ajax, Porto, Benfica and Celtic.
I expect all to win and while the eightfold pays 16-1 at BetVictor and McBookie I don't put up eightfolds so I've whittled them down to Celtic at Hearts in the Scottish Cup. Sevilla at home to Granada in La Liga and Juventus against Torino in the Turin derby.
Quite a few people expect a shock at Tynecastle but I don't. Hearts have been going great in the Championship but it's still the Championship and that's their priority. Celtic have John Guidetti back after missing out against Red Bull and while Ronny Deila's side lost 3-1 it could have just as easily been 2-2 and I felt they did okay after a poor start.
A best price of 8-15 on Celtic with the likes of William Hill isn't great so if you have any doubts leave it for one of the other sides I've mentioned.
I've already back Swedish star Guidetti to score at 1-1 with Ladbrokes and Betfred. I'm also having Guidetti at 7-2 with the likes of Betfred and William Hill to score first and he's never let me down.
Much has been made on the site of Willie Collum refereering the tie and he's often card-happy. How fiery it is may depend on Hearts' approach and whether the home crowd are right up for it. Over 4.5 cards pays 11-10 at bet365 and a sending-off is a possibility at 10-3 with William Hill.
Next on the treble is Sevilla who face a Granada outfit who are La Liga's lowest scorers with just six and they've only netted in two of their last eight. Sevilla have lost three in a row, including a 2-2 defeat to Feyenoord in the Europa League, and need to get back on track.
They have a fine record against Granada, winning 4-0 and 3-0 in the past two seasons, and should win at 9-20 with Ladbrokes.
Complete the treble with Juventus whose three home meetings with Torino in the past six seasons have resulted in wins to nil. Juve are on a run of five wins in a row while Torino's only goal in their last five outings came in a 2-1 defeat to Helsinki in the Europa League.
For the Super Single I considered Everton and Spurs and Man City at Southampton but I'm not convinced enough about either an would prefer to do a both to score double.
I also looked at Empoli at home to Atalanta, Palermo at home to Parma and draw at St Etienne v Lyon – St Etienne seem to draw every match these including all five in the Europa League so far.
But in the end I've gone back to the one that keeps winking at me – Guidetti to score. The Man City loan striker has made a serious impact at Parkhead and since making his debut and netting against Hearts in a 3-0 League Cup win in September he has notched 10 goals and failed to hit the target in just two games.
The player's enjoyed his rests while his team-mate have been in European action and Hearts will do well to stop him. Strangely he's not on 10bet's list but that's something they need to look at.

Cannot believe derby lost to leeds today. Mind you, I’m surprised leeds ended the match without having 2 or 3 players sent off. Apparently the ref has somewhat of a reputation for making aweful decisions and being inconsistent. 4 cards were shown in the first 25 mins, 3 to leeds, yet ironically 3 nasty fouls by one of their players in the first 20 mins went unpunished and one foul by a derby player and he gets booked.
A decent ref and they’d of been down to 9 men by halftime. Might be worthwhile to look into that match, ID the ref and have him at the back of your mind when it comes to the overs cards market.

Awful day all round for me today, but a speculative treble of Wycombe, Newport County and Brentford landed at 11/1 to secure a break even day. A lucky escape as everything else lost! On to tomorrow though with no damage done.
Both teams to score in the 2 Premier League games looks a good bet to me and pays 6/4 with Paddy Power. I think its an absolute banker in the Spurs Everton game. I think its a great bet in every Tottenham game because they’re a decent attacking side but they can’t defend for their lives. I expect Everton to get at least a point tomorrow, maybe 1-1 or 1-2.
Not quite as clear cut in the other game but City have been dodgy at the back lately and I expect Southampton to be able to notch at least a goal. I think this has the potential of being a cracker and if I had to pick a score I’d go with 2-2.
That double pays 6/4 as I said.
I’ve also gone for a 4fold by adding Atletico Madrid and Ajax to the double. These are 2 high flying sides in their respective leagues facing two lowly sides and both should really cover the -1 market. Both are early kick offs so easy to miss if you go for a cheeky Sunday lie-in!

Alreet daz it was abit hit and miss this week. Capone had mentioned most the italians yth games i was on and they did the job. Was only one german yth game i was on and it was top v bottom and ended up an exciting 0-0 and zalgiris game i expected goals the opposition didnt turn up so they just got awarded the points haha.
I did put up gamba osaka win and over 2.5 match goals on a few times though and finished 3-1 gamba. Very rarely get them wrong one very reliable. Had a larger stake on that than usual. Aussie a league sees wellington take on melbourne city in about 20 mins time. Phoenix have lost last two games 2-1 to adelaide and perth so you can see them scoring against a slightly less firm defence in city.
City have scored in every game this season so looks likee btts will be the go. How many goals is the next question. In 3 of last 5 games there has been over 3.5 goals so you have to fancy at least over 2.5. Phoenix have McGlinchey returning and i fancy him to nab a goal.

As for Ajax, Mr Fixit has already highlighted the likelihood of the game going over 2.5 on the goals thread and I don’t disagree. Looking at Den Haag’s history in the fixture, they might not be good for a goal so with the odds on Ajax hitting 2+ as good as the O2.5 market, I feel the value lies here.

After Craig pointed out to me of the Southampton over 4.5 corners bet I’ve looked into and Man City’s corners per match range from 7-10 ish per match which suddenly makes over 12.5 corners at 2/1 very good value. Only going with small stakes. Can see both teams being exciting to watch with plenty of shots and wing play. Safer bet would be over 10.5 at 5/6 but I’m plucking for the better odds for an extra couple of corners.

My SS today is Everton DNB @ 6/4 v Spurs. I just can’t see the Toffee’s losing against a very average Spurs side. In particular, White Hart Lane has become a problem for them and most of the players seem to prefer playing away from home (probably down to the abuse they receive from their own fans). Oh, and the tiny tiny pitch they play on ;)

Started with £5 today, had £1 on O2.5 in Barca game, £1 on BTTS in City game, both failed. have £3 left, should I do 3 £1 bets this week at around 1.5 odds? I 3/3 hit, leaves me with £4.50, then keep doing that?
sean, I’d try doubling it up and see where it goes – at the end of the day a fiver is nothing, the price of an expensive pint as I found out last week. My advice would be to stop betting and try to build up a betting bank of at least £200 then bet no more than £20 a day on singles, doubles and trebles.

Just had big debate or argument with mark h on bet 365 chat
I placed £40 on Santa Fe match over 0.5 goals 21/10 at 60mins or so.
The game got suspended at 87 min and settled as losing bet at same time.
In actual fact the game finished while bet 365 was on 87 min! He sent the game to be reviews by a trader now!!! Unbelievable they won’t accept they got the time wrong! Pissssssed off! Can Mr fix it look into that?
