MONACO did the business early on last night for Jordan and for the third day in a row there is European competition to concentrate on.
Jordan says: Nice have hit a bit of form with five wins on the bounce including their 1-0 victory in Austria. It’s seven wins from eight in total with their only loss in Russia which ended 5-2 against Krasnodar.
Similar to CSKA Moscow last night, Salzburg haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last 14 Europa league clashes and in all fairness haven’t been the Salzburg of a few seasons past for some time.
Nice have scored eight goals in their last two since beating Salzburg so should be well up for this at home. They really need the three points if they want to progress to the next stage and this is their best chance.
Alassane Plea has five goals in his last three for Nice including the winner in Austria and is value to score at 7-4 if he starts. But my money will be on the well-known bad boy Mario Balotelli who made his return last weekend after a groin injury and scored. He’ll be on penalty/free-kick duty so is worth a punt odds against.”
Nice Over 1.5 Team Goals (6-5, bet– 6 points (8.05pm)
Mario Balotelli (Nice) to score (13-10, Betfair) – 2 points
Fiorentina can pretty much seal progression with a win at home to Liberec and shouldn’t have many issues. I tipped them to score twice in the Czech Republic and Khouma Babacar to net which both landed and I’m going to be on the Senegal forward again. He was rested on the weekend and has started the previous three Europa fixtures scoring three goals. Liberec aren’t likely to progress and also be without a key central man after his dismissal in the reverse tie.
Khouma Babacar (Fiorentina) to score (6-4,– 2 points (8.05pm)
