IT was a no-bet day for myself and Greg – and boy doesn’t that make it dull.
The only tip I suggested was both to score at Maidenhead v Port Vale and while it came up I didn’t make it a top tip.
Bounty Punter tried to make his debut on the new site but a technical problem prevented him putting up two winners but we should be seeing more of him soon.
There’s a better card on Friday and I’ve posted a preview of the Scottish Championship game between St Mirren and Morton.
In England Middlesbrough should beat QPR at home where they are strong having six and drawn one of their Championship matches with six clean sheets.
I expect Borussia Dortmund to take three points at Hamburg. They have won seven in a row and are a short price so it might be worth finding a value goals bet. The previous meeting in Hamburg was o-0 but before that four meetings produced 21 goals.
Dortmund are a best 4-11 with Paddy Power and I like the away and over 2.5 match goals at 5-6 with the Irish firm. Prolific Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is 16-19 at 888sport to score – he already has 19 for the season including eight in five games.
Nice v Lyon traditionally produces goals in the the French Ligue and there could be one for Alexandre Lacazette who netted a hat-trick on his last outing before the international break. He is 6-5 with bet365 to score.
Elsewhere there are the usual goal-laden treats for the Jupiler League in Belgium and Erste league in Austria. I’ll put up tips after writing Saturday’s Daily Record columns and watch out for a Friday visit from Greg and others.
Also check out Scott’s El Clasico preview and look in at welovebetting for their latest tips and video chat.
As regulars know my time for research on Friday is limited because I have my Saturday Daily Record pages to do but having looked at various games I’m going for Lyon draw no bet (my main concern is the ban on away fans), Dutch lower-league leaders Go Ahead at basement boys Top Oss and over 2.5 goals at Gent v Westerlo with Gent’s last five at home going over 3.5 goals and Westerlo netting at least two in their last five road trips.
I looked at all sorts of options for the Super Single such as Morton draw no bet, Lyon to win, Lacazette to score and some Dortmund handicaps but I’m keeping it simple and taking Dortmund and Go Ahead to win – so all in on the Dutch.
