THE relentless NBA schedule rolls on to Tuesday with another packed card throughout the night.

There's also plenty of ice hockey action with 11 NFL fixtures, including Eastern Metropolitan leaders Pittsburgh Penguins at Atlantic table-toppers Montreal Canadiens.

On the tennis circuit it's Challenger Tour and ITF games while the second cricket Test between Pakistan and New Zealand reaches day two in Dubai.

The Kiwis are 1-0 down in the series but have started the second Test well with a century from opener Tom Latham.

Broncos at home to Miami on Sunday. Correct me if I’m wrong but it’s fairly warm in Miami most of the year? Can’t imagine it goes below 20 degrees too often? The weather in Denver on Sunday is predicted -2 degrees between 4 and 7PM. How much of an advantage if any will that be, already being at the mile high? I remember somebody saying Manning and snow don’t gel well together? But if I can be proved otherwise I will take that -7!

Dolphins are definitely not a cold weather team. My only concern is that the Broncos play the Chiefs the follow week. The Chiefs are tied with them in their Division for top spot. Denver played with little passion against a poor Rams team and lost. They may be looking ahead to the following week. They may try to use the least amount of effort to beat the Dolphins and save themselves for the more important game against the Chiefs.

    That would be the NHL.

Tomorrow I like the Kings over the visiting Panthers. Panthers beat an injury riddled Ducks team. I think the Kings will be too much for them as the Panthers make their west coast swing.

I wouldnt look into weather too much because teams have players from all over the country so some wont be bothered by the cold & some will
What it does do is make teams run the ball more when it snows so usually you will get lower scoring games but the bookies know this & adjust the points total anyway
But one way to beat the bookies is to look for games where you think the weather forecast could be wrong & take advantage of total points
It doesnt happen alot but sometimes they do get it wrong

A month to the day till the PDC World Championship starts. There are three more ranking tournaments until the draw will be made with one being a ITV4 event.

This is the projected seedings below. I must say I like the prices of Chisnall and Barney. I think both will have a right run this year.

Pakistan v New Zealand 2nd Test.

Pakistan have recently beaten Australia 2-0 on ‘home’ soil and lead New Zealand 1-0 in the current series.

The Pakistan batsmen have been on fire amassing huge scores and I antipate that their spin and reverse wing bowlers will run through NZ batting second time around on a wearing pitch.

Pakistan currently 3-1 in play on BetWay – NAP

***Minnesota Vikings Adrian Peterson banned for season***

Just when I had slim hopes that the ruling would free All Day to train this week it would appear his decision to not attend the NFL meeting on Friday has conspirewd against him and he has been banned for the rest of the season. Wewther or not they keep him next season or look to cash in has to be in doubt, if he had played this season we would be in a much better situation with a lot less pressure on Teddy so for me keeping him next season is a must but with his final years approaching and the negative press he has brought amongst the club I may find myself with some out of date Vikings shirts before long. Remember about 5 years ago I got a Brett Favre shirt at xmas he had retired by time season started again still least I hadnt bought the Christian Ponder or Josh Freeman shirt :)

Anyone any thoughts on the boxing at the weekend bellewe and cleverly has me on the fence, evens for Joshua 1st round is tempting, also any fighter in the cleverly fight to win inside 12 is evens, also 1/100 to win groves (same odds as Joshua) is evens for under 6 rounds a few to consider maybe

Thanks for the weather replies gents. Will look into that further.

Big game for the Viks on Sunday too Lee! Are there play off hopes if any? Can’t see the Packers or Lions slipping up.

    Cricket – 3rd ODI
    Australia v South Africa
South Africa to win @ 11/10. Mitchell Johnson not playing. On a batting surface South Africa to fare better

  11. lee cunliffe 9 years ago

No play off hopes mate we not good enough to make playoffs, never beat Green Bay and Sunday will be no different, offence is too 1 dimensional in fact scrub that its zero dimensional Asatasia can fall forward for a yard, Mckinnon can break one tackle for 3 yards then we cant complete a pass as defences know we got to throw, dont know if you ever seen Peterson play but he is our offence, breaks records, best RB in the game and with him we had an outside chance but were 3 games behind with 6 games to play, would need win 5 of them to even have a sniff and aftewr Green Bay on Sunday we will need win 5 from 5 with trips to Detroit, Miami, return match V Chicago and jets and Carolina to come, will finish 6-10 this year

    • Jordan 9 years ago

I was reading up about that Peterson guy. Shame to waste such talent but can’t say his punishment isn’t deserved. Sickening really. Do you think the -9.5 is generous again this week?

I´m hating the NBA these days, there’s been no logic in the results. I’m just gonna go with the facts. Sacramento Kings should win this one, it’s the only team that for me beat the Grizzlies at home, I mean, I still don’t buy that buzzer beater with 0.3 seconds to go. They also beat the Spurs with all their starters in the weekend. They play against Pelicans team with arguably the best in the league right now (Anthony Davis), coming from a tight back to back against Portland which they lost. Sacramento is a deep team and its bench is way better than New Orleans. Id go with them.

Logic will also tell me to back Atlanta against the lakers and the Bucks against the Knicks, but Im only getting there in a small stake.

    Big stake: Kings to win
Small stake: Kings, Bucks and Hawks to win.

    • mick 9 years ago

Lakers are not the powerhouse of the past. Many teams seek revenge, with great pleasure, for the past drubbings they have received from this team. Can’t see the Hawks being any different.

    DeAndre
How do you think the NBA will pan out tonight?
Fancy anything? I fancy the kings tonight.

I like the look of that treble Victoreu85, maybe i will put a couple pounds on that, or a trixie of bucks, thunder+3, hawks-9… or no bet tonight, cant decide

Mate Peterston led us to playoffs against green Bay 3 years ago we had to beat green Bay in last game of regular season to get thru and he ran for over 200 yards and 2 tds and got us there, we played green Bay in wildcard game against green Bay and lost well got stuffed the cynics may say green Bay let us win to then play us again but he is the real deal. We played pittsburgh in Wembley game last year were struggling then Peterston broke off a 95 yard td run, he broke rushing yards record he is that good. I was on holiday in week 2 when news broke and our season was finished then, he is the best player in league and has been for years but what has happened has changed things. It’s not like he is a killer or child abusein the worse sense of it he has punished his child same way he used to be but u can’t hot a child anymore and don’t think he knows his own strength, he is not a bully or child abuse but has gone past what discipline is allowedin society these days. When I was a kid my mum would smack my legs but u can’t do yay these days. It’s a difficult situation as he has gone too far but he is not a child abuser in the same sense of someone who periodically or systematically abuses children

    • Jordan 9 years ago

As far as I’m aware he wasn’t banned for what he did but it was because he argued that he should have came off the exempt list after the child abuse case was sorted? Is that correct? I found it a bit confusing but can sort of see his point. I did hear that his child had bruises in an area that isn’t really to be mentioned but I think I’ll leave that there. It is a shame for the Viks tho, people are saying that’s probably him out of there now.

Here’s something to lighten the mood! :D http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/24818861/watch-lifelong-redskins-fan-is-done-sets-all-his-team-gear-on-fire

  16. leecunliffe 9 years ago

He voluntary went onto nfl commission yeah that’s like a union where u get paid whilst being investigated the reports of what he did don’t sound great but there is difference between child abuse as we know it in making the child fearful and constantly going too far in your parental disciplinary as opposed to a father disciplining his child to tell him what is right and wrong ie don’t push another child off his bike. The correct thing is obviously to verbally discipline if he has used his hand than do that and not an object to do it and to hit him hard enough to leave marks clearly shows he has gone to far I just feel there is a difference between abuse as in neglect or intent to hurt and discipline your child as u see fit. Would u tell a parent that slapping his legs is wrong? Slapping his backside? His face? They are all forms of “abuse” if you take away parents right to discipline. End of day Peterston went too far and even with my rose tinted glasses I can see that and he has been punished for it

    • Jordan 9 years ago

Yeah I know what you’re saying, it’s just the way the world is now isn’t it? I used to get whacked on the arse almost everyday as a kid and even then I didn’t think I was being abused, I knew I was being a little sh*t haha, but that’s the difference you’re talking about! I remember my old man telling me he used to get the wooden ruler on the back of the hand at school, and that’s not even the parents, teachers would lose their jobs for one finger on a pupil now. But yes, leaving marks amongst other injuries isn’t right, but banning him for the season?? Hmmm, I say blame Ray Rice!
