IT was mission accomplished on Sunday as I wiped out the Super Single losses thanks to Sheffield Utd to score 2+ at Chesterfield – and my two trebles also won.
My only loser was the 14-1 three aways, pending from Saturday, as Ayr conceded two late goals at St Mirren. I wasn't around to advise cover but I'm sure anyone on the treble would have covered or cashed out.
Kelly said she cashed out at a time St Mirren were 100-1 to win. Greg texted me to say Saints were 66-1 just after I'd covered. It has to be done.
After the disappointment of Ayr I was lifted by Portugal's late goals that brought up a 23-10 Top Treble and 43-10 goals treble.
My 10pts Bet of the Day for members only was also a winner as was my challenge bet and I'm just £25 short of my £250 target.
Greg's evens nap came in and well done to all Sunday's other winners including radu who absolutely smashed it.
It's really slim pickings on Monday and while it should be a no-bet day after Sunday's success I said I'd probably risk losing 1pt on a double or treble and that's what I'm doing.
There are four matches involving English non-league sides – two in the FA Cup – and a Poland v Slovenia friendly.
I hate betting on friendlies but I'm starting with under 2.5 goals in Warsaw. Not sure why countries thrown in a friendly at this time of year and after a qualifier but I'm banking on it being low key especially as he Poles have sent Robert Lewandowski back to Bayern Munich having already been without fellow striker Arkadiusz Milik.
Stats and form suggest the Poles will win a low scorer so I'm going with under 2.5 goals. Poland have kept clean sheets in their last three World Cup qualifiers and in their last 13 friendlies only one team has scored.
I'm not up to speed on English non-league teams but today have read loads of previews on the FA Cup replays between Curzon v Westfields and Stourbridge v Whitehawk and the National League South matches featuring Hungerford v Welling and Wealdstone v Bath.
The concensus is Curzon will beat the lowest-ranked side remaining in the tournament while the other tie is tough to call. Welling are expected to win at Hungerford but not convincingly and there should be goals at Wealdstone. So adding to unders at Poland I'm on Curzon and both to score at Wealdstone. Low stakes.
Apart from that there are European Under-21 qualifiers and Under-19 qualifers and I expect will see some tips on these on the site.
And finally need to see well done to Ace Venturer who put up another golf champion. This time it was 20-1 Alex Noren who came from six shots off the pace to win by six at the Nedbank Challenge. I'm glad Ace doesn't play as well as he tips!
