JOHN HIGGINS became the latest big-name casualty at the Snooker Champion of Champions as he joined world champ Stuart Bingham and Judd Trump in crashing out at the group stage.
The Wishaw Wizard lost a final-frame shootout to Joe Perry, who marches on to the semis, and today Group 2 takes centre stage.
World No.3 Neil Robertson, aiming to reach the last four for a third successive year, is just 1-5 at Skybet in his clash with debutant Rory McLeod (21-5, Marathonbet).

Dissapointing night overall. Taylor was very poor, so many of his darts were well above or below the wire. It was so frustrating watching when the score was 6-4 to Taylor knowing that it would just take one more 180 in the match for the bets to win and there being more than enough time remaining for it but ultimately seeing it not materliase. Anderson was also poor. It was definitely a good night for the bookies.
Tomorrow is a much better set of matches and hopefully things should run a bit more smoothly with potential for better profit. Apologies to anyone who followed.

Looks solid Filipino. I think he should reach it easily, hitting 3 in 5 legs in the first match. 3 in 6 in the second and 5 in 8 in the third. I think the bookies expect it will be a walkover and we won’t see many legs.

I was on some of these Bullseye – shocking night for us Punters I couldn’t believe how poor some of the darts was. I had to pop out at 6-4 to Taylor and was sure that 180 bet would be in – couldn’t believe it when I got back and saw the bet lost. Overall the tips were sound ones, players just didn’t show up and not much can be done about that – we move on
After that point it was just a really edgy and scrappy contest including a lot of visits to the oche without a treble. I think Taylor’s performance was so bad that he sort of brought Jenkins down with him. I honestly dont have the confidence in backing Taylor anymore as he isnt covering the low lines that the bookies always seem to set for him. His cover shots were also off.

Haven’t been betting on darts for that long – long time follower and watched (and drunken player!!) but until I found this site a few months back I only used to bet on football mainly. I tend to find that it comes in fits and starts, so far on the darts I either have really good days when nearly all the bets come in, or awful ones like last night when almost nothing happens!

This AFC East game opens up week 10 in what should be a cracker. Rex Ryan heads back to New Jersey where he managed the Jets for 6 years, and all he’s done this week is try to ruffle some feathers. Mocking Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatricks beard, and naming the same player as a captain who broke Geno Smiths jaw in the pre season. Everyone has their game plans I suppose…
Both sides will be coming into this one fairly banged up, but their main offensive weapons will all start. Jets Brandon Marshall has dealt with a toe/ankle injury for the last couple of weeks and it showed by his production against the Jaguars on the weekend. Eric Decker ha struggled with a knee injury all season but has still put up some decent numbers and was their stand out player on the weekend with Marshalls struggle. Running back Chris Ivory has had a hamstring injury for the past few weeks, with the Jets not able to rush for 100 yards in their last three games. Antonio Cromartie their starting Corner is also a doubt for tomorrow as is starting Right Guard Willie Colon.
On the Bills side of things, Running Back LeSean McCoy has been dealing with a shoulder issue since the start of the season but didn’t show much effect against Miami on the weekend picking up 112 yard son the ground against Miami (one rush was 48 yards). Wide Receiver Sammy Watkins has a niggling ankle injury and was supposedly seen even limping at practice yesterday. Might have something to do with him burning the Miami secondary for 168 yards on Sunday, but he’s got a much tougher match up this week with a first class ticker to Revis Island.
Before the start of the year, both teams were being talked up about how good their defenses would be. In the run game these teams are both respectable. The Jets rank 1st with the Bills not far behind in 6th. Where these teams have struggled is when the ball is coming through the air. The Jets started well but have slowly gone off charts. Blake Bortles threw for 380 yards on the weekend against the Jets secondary even with two interceptions, but you can give some leeway as Revis can’t cover everyone at once. Derek Carr also threw for 333 yards and 4 TD’s in Oakland, so they are beatable if you can pick your passes, but with Tyrod Taylor at the helm and Sammy Watkins their only real receiving threat, that may prove difficult. Tight End Charles CLay can be a threat but he was hardly targeted last week against Miami.
With both sides stout in stopping the run but both struggling in the air in recent weeks, a division game on Thursday Night Football might see a higher total than what they’re giving, but teams not being particularly healthy at the skill position does worry me slightly.
Eric Decker has had six catches in his last three games, averaging 67.4 yards per game with a reception of 20 yards or more in every game, and TD in every game bar one against the Patriots. Marshall may break out of his weekend slump but with the toe injury I’d be inclined to slide with Decker. Nick Mangold their starting Center will be back on the offensive line but the Right Guard out could cause pass protection issues for deep balls. I’ll be looking for Decker to be used and used well in the possession game and I think this yardage is achievable.

Huybrechts is a very prolific 180 hitter. He famously hit the 9 darter against MVG in last years Slam and has scored two maximums in a single leg twice already. He’s very capable of covering the line.
Wright is threatening to knock Taylor of number three spot in the PDC order of merit based on prizemoney won in the last year. He is starting to look very consistant nowadays posting above 100 averages frequently. Lewis is a talented player no question but he has not been showing the back to back World Championship winning form enough and can go missing in games. If it happens tonight Wright will be waiting to punish him.
Smith is excellent on high checkout’s, especially combination shots involving two treble 20’s as demonstrated against Fordham where he took out a 160 and a 158. He’s also being doing it thoughout the year on the European tours.
I dont think Adams will be able to keep up with Kim’s power scoring and it should be enough to open up a big enough lead to cover the handicap.
Smith vs Chisnel could be a close one as they both absoloutly batter the 180’s and are good cover shooters. It could go down to the wire so its more than likely than not that there will be at least 17 legs.

If I have ever seen a trap game it is this one , so much media attention and so forth on the bills end with Rex Ryan’s going against his former team , for some apparent reason although the point spread does not suggest it just yet the Bills are more or less expected to win this one and have been backed heavily wich I find preety odd. The Bills have a young offence going against a number of veterans on the jets defence who i feel will bounce back from that disastrous start against the raiders last week. This game should see some big defensive plays and I think Todd Bowles will have the upper hand on Rex Ryan in this one.
