IT was 3pts lost on the first instalment of the European World Cup qualifiers but my 5pts Super Single is still running.
The Scott Brown to be carded bet didn't happen with the Celtic man staying in control in a game that was nowehere near as fiery as expected.
I was unlucky with the treble – Slovakia won and Robert Lewandowski scored but Northern Ireland went goal crazy after I'd tipped under 2.5 match goals. Believe it or not but I was going to simply take an Irish win but talked myself out of it.
So let's hope the third part of the Super Single wins and that's over 2.5 goals at Spain v Macedonia. As it's a 5pt bet I'm advising 2pts cover so at least the stake won't be lost.
Greg's nap was over 2.5 goals at Wembley and he picked the same bet for his overs series for members only so he was happy.
There are another nine qualifiers on Saturday night including Wales v Serbia, Austria v Ireland and Croatia v Iceland. We also have English and Scottish lower-league games to look at.

Good looking match up this morning where Melbourne Victory host Western Sydney Wanderers. Neither team has kept a clean sheet this season so you have to expect goals in this one, and for me Victory to edge it given their superior head to head results in recent time. 5 wins a draw and a defeat in the last 7 and they have notched at least 2 in 5 of those fixtures.
Victory are without Marco Rojas so Besart Berisha will be expected to step up and deliver the goals and I think he has a great chance today with 4 goals in 5 so far.

Two teams in dire-straits re absent players – we’ve still an injury list that Casualty would be proud of and I believe Southend have up to 8 first teamers out.
Our season seems to be following the same pattern as least season: great start with a dreadful late autumn. We came out of that rut and I can see us stopping the rot in the run-in to December.

After a long lay-off it’s great to see the New Zealand Youth League back underway and everything has started as it left off at the end of the last season…no surprise that’s where I’m headed for the Night Owl…
