WEDNESDAY was almost a no-bet day – I planned it that way but in the end I was tempted by a double.
And on the international friendlies it was a loser with Greece going down at home to Belarus while the Belgium part of the double was void.
The last three days have been fraught with danger and while I've posted tips I'm down just 0.9pts on those recent bets so it's nothing to worry about.
Good thing about a quiet week is I've had a chance to look at Friday's games and I've already made shortlists for Saturday when we have internationals as well as lower-league games in England and Scotland and the IRN-BRU Cup quarter-finals.
There are some real games late tonight with the South American qualifiers including Brazil v Argentina. Brazil look in better shape having risen to the top of the qualifying section under popular coach Tite who is getting the most out of his stars.
It's Argentina who need the points most after taking just two from their last three and their coach Edgardo Bauza is feeling the heat. Lionel Messi missed those three games but will start in Rio and it should be a cracker.
Other games include Colombia v Chile, Uruguay v Ecuador, Paraguay v Peru and Venezuela v Ecuador andI've picked out a treble.
I don't think an on-form Brazil will lose and same goes for Colombia at home to a Chile outfit rocked by an injury to Arsenal ace Alexis Sanchez. Add Paraguay to beat a Peru side that's lost four out of five qualifiers on the road.
I've got a couple of meetings this morning so will look to put up something early afternoon.

mr f, Bolivia fielded an illegible player against chile and peru therefore 3 points were awarded to the opposition, Bolivia beat peru 2-0 and the chile game ended 0-0 hope that’s clears it up…………….
That makes sense. Plenty of places saying Peru have lost all five and in a sense they did but record books will say it was four.
