ENGLAND joined the World Cup party on Sunday and in some style.
My best bet of the tournament was John Stones to score at 12-1 and it didn't take him long – and I also backed the Man City defender to net first. I quoted 35s but could only get on at 28-1.
Stones to score was one Super Single and England -2AH at 13-10 was another so I was a Scot happily cheering for Gareth Southgate's men.
The manner of their 6-1 win was impressive but Panama were poor and there are biggest tests to come.
My Daily Double was a loser but it was still a good day and hopefully there are plenty to follow.
Well done to the many winners on the game and overall on Sunday. As I said it will be easier for punters as the tournament progresses.
Monday sees the start of the final first-round games and in Group A it's Russia v Uruguay to decide top spot and a dead rubber between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
In Group B I'm on Spain and Portugal to win so first place will be decided on goal difference or even goals scored or some other criteria. Spain tackle Morocco and Portugal face Iran with the double paying evens.
One Super Single is Cristiano Ronaldo to score first and the other is Mo Salah to net at any time after Egypt confirmed he'd start as they look for a consolation prize.

They created some great chances v Spain and what astounded me in that game was how easily they did it,and they did it at their leisure,they chose when to attack and when not to.

Good call Macca, even back in 2014 they gave the Argies a tough game.
They are tough to beat Bully,just because they sit deep they are deemed boring,they were that poor financially the players had to buy their own football boots as no one would sponsor them,now the last 20 mins in games they go for it and do it pretty well,anyone who watched them play v Spain would know Portugal would have to play for 90 mins and thats something they aren’t good at,Iran could of won it in the last minute also.
