THAT'S the quarter-final line-up sorted for Russia and the last-16 ties ended in drama with England beating Colombia on penalties.
There are four exciting ties to be played on Friday and Saturday with Uruguay v France first up followed by Brazil v Belgium. And on Saturday afternoon it's Sweden v England and Russia v Croatia.
Brazil are a best 3-1 to win the tournament with France 17-4 at Unibet. England are into third favourites at 9-2 with BetStars while Belgium are 13-2 at Paddy Power and Croatia the same price at McBookie.
Harry Kane's penalty against Colombia puts him two ahead in the race for the Golden Boot and he is now a short-priced favourite to take the prize ahead of Romelu Lukaku at 12-1 with bet365 and Kylian Mbappe at 16-1 with the same firm.
There is a two-day break before the tournament resumes so that will give me time to put previews together for all of the ties.
My Super Single was Kane to score at 13-10 but my 0.5pts long shots were losers.

Interesting game indeed we have an up and coming youthful England team with a world class striker in Harry Kane against a Sweden team with plenty of heart.Now i have been fortunate enough to watch every single game this tournament including Sweden’s matches.Now to beat England your either going to need to pass the ball quickly and precise or hope for a mistake from the England defense,the latter is the only way Sweden would hurt England imo as their passing has been at times woeful and the amount of times they give the ball away is criminal.Now i watched Sweden v Switzerland and neither team were great infact an own goal decided that game as both sides lacked quality in attack,i did fancy Sweden to win that game but this one for me is one to many for the scandinavians,the threat posed by England will ruffle Sweden’s feathers as they can play intricate attacking football enough to see a comfortable England win.Correct score Sweden 1 England 3

I agree with Macca, Sweden and Switzerland could be playing now and not score had it not been for a deflected goal, Sweden have very little punch up front and it will be down to England to donate them a goal as they like to do every match. If they can be pretty much error free at the back they should win, will look at the betting nearer the time but expect to be on England corners again over 5.5 @ 11/10 which seems a fair price.

Very little punch up front in open play,set pieces have yielded the goals and a own goal v Switzerland.Against England they won’t get many chances,they may well score but their not good enough to outscore England.
Before slating or commenting it’s advisable to have watched the games or study them to see why the reasoning has been posted,once you have watched and studied then there really is no arguments,unless of course your going by stats from 1969 lol.

It was only 7. I had over 8.5 as aa part of a RAB so was keeping count.
Bet365 had 2/7 so 9 in total.

Columbia’s antics last night saw an unusual shift in support north of the border with many actually wanting England to win, I’m sure normal service will resume when they play Sweden haha.
@acsafc I think it’s more of anti English media issue and than being anti English +’it’s a football riverly thing, who wants their rivals to do well haha.
Like many I’ve been really impressed with Gareth Southgate and how’s he’s conducted himself, what an opportunity he has to get this England team to a final. They’ll certainly have to improve but you can also say that about the teams they are due to face / could be facing.
