PROPER football's back with a bang tonight with the first of the World Cup play-offs – as well as Scotland v Holland which might not be for the fainthearted.
First-leg ties are notoriously tight and there could be a shortage of goals in Belfast and Zagreb. I've posted a separate preview of the games and also one on the Scotland match.
Malky Mackay is caretaker boss for this one and has been dealt a major blow with the absence of Scott Brown and Leigh Griffiths. Mackay is set to start the likes of Aberdeen stars Ryan Christie and Kenny McLean at Pittodrie as well as Rangers defender Ryan Jack and Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor. Looks like Matt Phillips will be a makeshift striker and that doesn't fill many with confidence.
So it will be a young and inexperienced side that face the Dutch who have won six out of seven under Dick Advocaat who will quit after a double header of friendlies.
The tips are on separate posts but I reckon the Dutch will win, Croatia may edge out Greece at a short price and Ireland v Switzerland could be a draw.

Has anybody opened an account with an online bookmakers called bookee which is only used through the apps? I’ve put money in to place a bet which lost, and they matched my stake with a free bet, I done a acca on a few teams which all have come in and waiting on Man City’s next game. Now all of a sudden they want me to send them a photo ID and a letter with my name on it by tomorrow otherwise they will close my account! Can they do that if I don’t respond or is it some kind of scam?
No direct experience of them, but looking at reviews online and on the app store they seem legit – asking for the photo ID and letter is becoming standard procedure for most bookies now, the forced closure of account by tomorrow seems very extreme though, not exactly a lot of notice is it… could be a way of them trying to avoid a pay out for your acca. Sounds legitimate but also rather tight.

I tend to agree with a lot of it sand. Jack McLean Christie shinnie Berra Paterson Cummings Hanlon are all decentish at Spfl level but nowhere near good enough for international standard at the moment

Strachan picked too many championship players just cus they played there. Also found it hilarious Boyd was saying what he did as he was never good enough for Scotland!
The big mistake was playing Phillips up top – once Griffiths was out he should have called up Martin or even started Cummings.
We’ll be better with the likes of Griffiths, Brown, Armstrong, Morrison and Darren Fletcher in there.
