BENEVENTO had a day to remember but their first point in Serie A was a blow to punters.

Many people backed AC Milan in the early game – including me – but it was a day to forget for new boss Rino Gattuso as his side went down to 10 men and conceded a 95th-minute equaliser.

And what a goal it was as keeper Alberto Brignoli headed home to end the promoted outfit's run of 14 defeats in a row.

My both to score treble was also a loser but Greg had better luck with his Italian goals double. Scott Allot and Jordan both missed out with theirs. Well done to any other winners.

Man City left it late against West Ham but their winner keeps alive my Super Single double with Wolves playing at Birmingham in the Championship tonight.

There are plenty of other games to look at and I've decided to go with a goals double. I was looking at the Slough game for goals and HullShaker agrees. Go for goals and check out his excellent preview.

I'm doubling it up with Portimonense to score at Estoril. Portimonsensehave netted 2+ in six out of seven and shouldn't lose at a side who failed to score in six league games.

Imagine a world in black and white – one where no one speaks and no one talks. Imagine a landscape of grey stretching out to the horizon. Imagine no trees, no grass…just the acrid stench of death and near-constant drizzle.

For the residents of Slough and Rochdale this is what life is like and as we speak, the Dale army will be leaving their rain-soaked hovels in the foothills of the Pennines and preparing their mules for the long journey South…

    SLOUGH VS. ROCHDALE:

Ah, the magic of the FA Cup! This one has all the romance of a candlelit dinner with Helping Hand at Birch services but what it lacks in appeal, it may make up for in value for Monday night punters!

Four degrees of seperation between the two sides but we’ve seen time and time again, the lower-league home advantage in these ties – couple this with the hosts form for goals in games and we could be in for an interesting night.

Slough have only failed to score in 1 of their last 28 competetive games – granted that’s against weaker opposition than ‘Dale but their 0-6 away spanking of Gainsborough Trinity in the last round is an indicator of their attacking potential.

For their part, Rochdale have conceded in 6 of their last 8 matches and more tellingly have failed to keep an away clean sheet in 4 successive games.

    One selection to consider:

    BTTS…10/11
    ????

    Best of luck!

    Trabzon v Antalya
Antalyaspor could not catch the rhythm they wanted even with new manager Leonardo. They have pretty offensive squad and expecting goals could be first choice for goal lovers which i am not really looking for in this match. Trabzonspor won the last two league games + away cup game and regained confidence, plus playing better football at home ground their new manager Riza Calimbay knows his former team Antalyaspor well and will push for 3 points.

    Trabzon to win

    Alanyaspor v Kayserisppor
Alanya’s Maniatis, M’Billa, Wagner Love [9 goals] and Fernandes [5 goals] will not play due to their injuries, so it would cause problems in their atacking department. Also their defenders Gasama and Tzavellas are suspended for this match. In Kayseri, attackers Varela and Asamoah Gyan are not expected to play [doubtful] but when the opponent is in a more difficult situation, the away team can get at least 1 point from here.

    Kayseri draw no bet
    Kayseri not to lose

Bit of time this morning so just having a root through the reserve leagues and picked this one out – very low stakes advised if following!

LANÚS RES. VS. VÉLEZ SÁRSFIELD RES. (1200 KO):

Generally low scoring affairs in the Argentinian reserve leagues and this is reflected in the prices but Lanus’ last 3 at home all saw 3 goals as did the most recent H2h.

Lanus sit 4th but with 2 games in hand on the teams above them, could leaprog into a comfortable 2nd spot – Velez lie a lowly 18th but have scored in around 70% of tgeir last 11 and don’t wonder if there’s value in this one seeing 3 goals at a big price:

    OVER 2.5 MGS…7/5
    ??

    Good luck.

mr f your treble was easily coverable, i done your treble but also done it with benevito dc @ 6-1
that covered the stake .as having watched them felt they would get a point soon.
i also nabbed them @ 16-1 then 18-1 to score in dying mins but only pennies onnit
as they looked determined to score. btw ..cracking goal by the keeper:)

    • Mr Fixit 6 years ago

You couldn’t have covered my treble with Benevento double chance as it was the first leg – would have been fine if I was just needing Milan to win.
Inter won but then Valencia lost.

Been ages since i have posted anything on here but being doing very well following the legends Hull, Greg, Jordan and too many others to mention, so thank you all.
Going to try and contribute where i can.
Can anybody see any reason why Atromitos to beat Platanias in Greece is not a good bet at 5/4? Platanias look dire losing their last eight, recently quite heavily. Atromitos sit fourth and have good form home and away. They did lose 3 – 0 last time they played Platanias away but this was December. Most recent match was a 4 – 1 victory to Atrimotos.
Cannot find anything to put me off backing an away win.

  16. GregBrowning 6 years ago

    Afternoon gents

Will be focusing on the Belguim reserve league as usual today

Kortrijk v KV Oostende KO 7pm

My other favourite Belguim side Kortrijk are in action today and goals is usually a common theme in their matches. 10 of their last 13 games have ended over 3.5 goals ( 7 of those over 4.5). Their last three games have ended 4-2 4-2 2-7 and with their 7 home games this season to seeing an incredible 42 goals we should see some more again tonight against a KV side who have won 5 of their last 6, scoring 20 goals in the process. Previous 6 meetings have yielded 29 goals – would expect both sides to get in on the act tonight.

Back over 1.5 first half goals
    Over 3.5 match goals

Best to wait Inplay to get best prices – should be around 4/5 5/6

    • HullShaker 6 years ago

      Best of luck Greg ?

Another worth a look for small stakes…

    MONGOLIA U23 VS. INDONESIA U23 (1430 KO):

For what it’s worth @hullshaker and indeed all the others that volunteer your tips on here, it is greatly appreciated and remember you do not owe anyone on here anything at all…. so I am hoping that the critique / abuse from any naysayers, critics, trolls or just general tvvats is water off a ducks back. ?

The community that exists here is excellent and anyone who is not old enough or ugly enough to understand that every bet is a risk only has themselves to blame if they’re left crying at a loser.

Keep up the good work fellas.

    • HullShaker 6 years ago

Cheers sir – to be honest, I couldn’t care less if folk want to have a pop – if you post on a public forum you’ve got to expect a bit back.

I enjoy posting on here and love the variety of insight from so many different leagues – like Greg and Jordan said, it’s a great community.

I happened to catch a few comments from our friend the Helping Hand the other night and they were quite entertaining actually – looked like he’d hijacked Dolky’s C64 keyboard and snorted some rat poison.

    Birmingham v Wolves

Derby game or not, biased or not, this is a game Wolves should win.

When Wolves beat Bolton last time out Nuno’s men weren’t even at full throttle, 2nd gear throughout. It was simply too easy for them. Tonight Wolves can’t afford to cruise, it’s going to be a tough game. Nuno comes across as a great guy and also an intelligent one. He knows its a derby, he knows Wolves can’t take it for granted that they will be top whether they win or not. Add into the mix last time out – Birmingham City caused a major upset. Whilst 9 of the players who featured for Wolves that night won’t be playing it is Connor Coady, who featured in that game that will be the Wolves captain tonight. He will be keen to motivate this highly talented squad that Nuno has assembled and I actually fear for Blues here. Wolves will be out to impress in front of the cameras, like they did against Villa and Fulham. If Wolves can set about Blues early on I feel Blues could be in for a really long night. Hopefully we have a strong ref who can stamp out any misdemeanours that Blues might throw at us tonight. I fully expect them to kick us about a bit. Ultimately, I reckon Wolves quality will shine through and in the end a convincing win.
I was able to grab 4/5 for the away win a couple of days ago but the odds have shortened now.

    SP: Blues 0-3 Wolves

Wolves win, 8/11, PaddyPower, Stan James
    Wolves -1, 2/1, Betfair

    William Hill #yourodds
Diogo Jota and Bonatini to score, Wolves to win by 2 or more goals, Saiss to get booked and 2 or more Blues yellow cards
    35/1, William Hill

    • simpledxb 6 years ago

@craigyboy, I always admire someone who backs their own team…. as well you should be with the form Wolves are in. BUT… as a long suffering villa fan, it pains me to say it but something about tonight tells me that the bluenose scum may play party poopers.

Whilst they are the lowest scorers in the division with just 10 goals, goals will be at a premium tonight – they have only scored 3 in the last 5 matches at the Sty.

That said, at the other end, they have kept 4 clean sheets in the last 5 games at the Sty (including a lucky draw against Villa) and there have been 2 or less goals in the last 5. Again, goals will be at a premium…

Sadly, given the “Derby” atmosphere (this isn’t a real Derby) and I can see them nicking something tonight. There is massive expectation on Wolves, and whilst they do look to be playing some cracking footy, they will be boosted by beating Sheff Utd last time out, plus having the strongest squad available they’ve had for ages… (lots of players back from injury etc).

Add to that Wolves are without Neves who has been a lynchpin in midfield for you guys… and we all know how fragile the team balance is in the Championship. Who knows if this upsets the equilibrium?

Far be it ever for me to be talking up a result for the bluenose but stranger things have happened.

For the braver ones out there – every pundit is predicting an easy away win, but there is value to be had (if you are so inclined) on the Bluenose Double Chance or Home Win…

Personally I am steering clear of this game betting wise but will tune in hoping to see a good punch up. Villa could do with Wolves dropping points, but the villa fan in me hopes you boys win 10-0 albeit sustaining 11 injuries in the process ?.

      UTV.

    • craigyboy 6 years ago

Naturally, upsets happen in derby games and maybe I am being over confident. Neves is a big loss but the chances are big Alfred NDiaye will come in for him and will be more suited to the physical aspect of a derby game. Blues will kick us all over the park and will be fighting for a goalless draw…I just feel if we get our noses in front early enough I think the quality will pick Blues off and ensure a comfortable win..I don’t see the noses scoring.

I was born and raised in Slough, @hullshaker. Can’t say I disagree with your comments! ;) Will be hoping the lads can achieve that illusive cup upset tonight, although they’ve been running on fumes lately with a threadbare, injury-hit squad. Hasn’t seemed to effect their form, though.

I (sort of) remember being a mascot for Slough in the nineties when I was just a young buck. Parents had the cheek to call it a birthday present. The game finished 0-0, too.

I wasn’t back in a hurry after that.

      Best quote at the end:

“Journalist Kevin Darling, covering the games in PNG, told Sky Sports: “The problem is it’s not a squad of footballers, it’s just a squad of normal blokes. The goalkeeper told me he went in goal for the first time ever three weeks ago. And it showed, to be fair.”

Been looking at various stats for the Wolves game tonight and have settled on the following.

    Over 4.5 cards
    Over 5.5 Wolves corners
    Over 2.5 Wolves goals

    13.31/1

There has been red in the last two head to heads so hoping for another feisty affair. Wolves are well capable of the corners and goals if their great run of form continues tonight, so for a long shot treble I think this stands a decent chance.

    Good luck

Can anybody see any reason why Atromitos to beat Platanias in Greece is not a good bet at 5/4? Platanias look dire losing their last eight, recently quite heavily. Atromitos sit fourth and have good form home and away. They did lose 3 – 0 last time they played Platanias away but this was December. Most recent match was a 4 – 1 victory to Atrimotos.
Cannot find anything to put me off backing an away win.

Atrimotos win 3 -1. Not sure I can claim it as a tip but nice to see it come in.

Another last min goal. This, plus the Holland Reserve league acca, plus @gregbrowning‘s first half tip re Kortrijk has been a profitable night.

    Just @hullshaker‘s BTTS to come..

@craigyboy – I hope you had your shirt on Wolves mate. Am watching and wish Blues played this ? against Villa. The attendance is piss poor too from the blue’s “faithful”. Like a bloody reserves match.

Thanks Sir Greg. Yet another good pick. Consistent I will give you that. Anybody who loses money to the bookies will do themselves a huge favour if they just followed Greg’s style of betting. Less is more. I have learnt the hard way but thanks to a few names on here I am slowly making a gain on the bookies again. A fantastic community to follow way better than faceache and alike. ?

No Slough goal and Rochdale were rampant in the end – apologies to anyone on ?

Better luck in Paraguay with the rescheduled game – in after 29′ ?

NACIONAL ASUNCIÓN VS. INDEPENDIENTE FBC (2100 Ko):

Neither side are in great form but Independiente’s season really is turning into an unmitigated disaster; 2 wins in 14 and a g/d of -20 sees them rock-bottom.

Nacional aren’t much better but do have more attacking prowess having scored in 6 of their last 8 outings. There’s also history between the two that favours the hosts – Nacional have hit a brace in 5 of the last 6 H2H’s…I reckon they’ll have every chance of adding to that against tge current whipping boys.

    NACIONAL OVER 1.5 TGS…EVENS
    ???

For failing to furnish us with a Slough winner you need to spend a weekend in their finest B&B establishment and report back to us.

Hey hull any night owl for later?

    • HullShaker 6 years ago

Which – the 3 that won today or the 1 that lost?

Like I said apologies to anyone on.

@red_ryan – nothing that stands out – good luck if you have a go.

    • red_ryan 6 years ago

nah Hull won’t be anything nothing stands out, dont really follow the south american leagues only look for the bigger teams. Usually follow Sir Greg and not to forget Sir Jordan for the tips and you for late ones ;).

    • Mr Fixit 6 years ago

Wolves missed 3 or 4 sitters in second half so should have been more.

2pts on Alaves dnb at 3/1 *Won*

Assumed that had lost after they went 2 down but hatrick from the new love of my life Ibai saved the day.

Gonna stick 1point on Green, Mixon, Bell and Brown all to score a touchdown in the Bengals v Steelers game at 18/1 (William hill your odds).

    Good luck all.
