LAST Saturday was as tough as it gets – today looks a bit easier so let's hope for some winners.

I've posted Scottish and English previews with the both featuring Sunday's big games – the Carabao Cup Final between Arsenal and Man City, Premiership contest as heavyweights Man United take on Chelsea and a potential cracker in Scotland as Celtic travel to Aberdeen.

My Top Treble paid a best 19-10 but 21Bet have enhanced it to 11-5 so back it there if you fancy it.

Last night a last-gasp Livingston landed the Super Single to continue a good month but I was a Strasbourg goal short on the Top Treble.

Today's Super Single is League One leaders Raith at home to Arbroath. A best price of 19-20 with William Hill is decent for a side that has won 12 out of 13 at home.

Well done to all the winner including Greg with his Dutch goals double.

Hi gents. Shocker last night but hope to turn that around today. Not often I pick a WDW in any league, but tempting fate today with Tranmere heading to Maidenhead. The hosts have lost six of their last seven, while Tranmere have only lost once in their last 8. They’ve beaten Maidenhead in every h2h (three games played going back to 2016). While Tranmere’s loss last week ended their great run, they’ll take it lightly seeing it was against the league leaders, Maidenhead. Can they bounce back? I think so.

    Tranmere @ 23/20 @ William Hill – 4 points

GOT THIS FROM A TEAM OF FOOTBALL EXPERT IN HONG KONG. SO I DECIDE TO SHARE

CAN A WOLVERHAMPTON POUNCE ON THE CRAVEN COTTAGE INFORMED TEAM???

    TEAM NEWS

Sheyi Ojo is still recovering from a knock but is fighting to be fit for Fulham’s big clash with Wolves at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
Phil Ofosu-Ayeh and Carl Ikeme are the only players on the injury list for Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolves at present.

    Fulham
    Suspended: None
    Doubtful: Sheyi Ojo (knock)
    Injured/unavailable: None

    Wolves
    Suspended: None
    Doubtful: None
Injured/unavailable: Phil Ofosu-Ayeh (ankle), Carl Ikeme (leukaemia)

    MATCH PREVIEW
    MAIN PREDICTION: AWAY WIN
Fulham have been relentless in their quest for promotion of late. Since their shock defeat at the Stadium of Light to Sunderland in December, the Cottagers have struck back with a staggering 27 points from an available 33. Slavisa Jokanovic’s side have gone from mid-table to fifth place in no time. Despite their tremendous form, Fulham have drawn two of their last three, including a 1-1 result at Bristol on Wednesday.

Wolves’ lead at the top was cut to nine points after they let a two-goal lead slip to draw 2-2 with Norwich at Molineux on Wednesday night. Wanderers are still in an outstanding position, though, as they sit a whopping 13 points ahead of third-placed Aston Villa. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have lost only one of their last 19 fixtures in the Championship.

Fulham have been flying in recent months, but I believe that Wolves will be too strong for them on Saturday, especially as they have dropped points in each of their last two games. I’ll be siding with a Wolves away win in this mouth-watering clash.

SECOND PREDICTION: FIRST TEAM TO SCORE – WOLVES
Wolves have taken the lead in all bar one of their ten away Championship victories this term. Back Wolves to score the opening goal on Saturday.

    HEAD TO HEAD

Wolves are unbeaten in their last nine against Fulham, winning six and drawing three. Wanderers eased to a 2-0 win when the pair met at Molineux back in November.

    • richb20806 6 years ago

Hope your “football experts in Hong Kong” are correct.

But as a wolves fan with a season ticket who doesn’t miss a game I’d say that I admire the optimism but this is as tough a game as they come.

You mention that there are no suspensions. Ruben Neves arguably our most influential player is suspended and will not play.

I’ll put a preview up a bit later.

Been posting on wrong thread again…maybe need to knock that meths nightcap on the head ?

    Morning gents,

It’s a pretty broad card on Saturday and on days like these it pays to stick with what you know.

My scope has passed over the more obvious usual suspects and settled on a game from the NLN…

    DARLINGTON VS. KIDDERMINSTER HARRIERS:

No secret that Darlo were my adopted darlings these last two years in the lower leagues but wholesale changes and transfers have impacted massively in 2017/2018.

Kidderminster are going quitely about their business and may just have the capacity to exploit a Darlo defence that have conceded 3-1-0-2-2-0-1-2-2-3-1-3-3-1-3-3-3 goals in their last 17 consecutive matches.

Not going to be the obvious lower league bet out there but I reckon there’s plenty of value in this one:

    KIDDERMINSTER OVER 1.5 TGS…11/10

    Best of luck ?

Tried and tested with these two home sides as they battle for the title – nobody has scored more goals than these two and I’d be surprised if we didn’t see all 4 sides net today. St Johnstone have a bit of an injury chrisis and haven’t won at home since Sept ( 9 games ) taking County to score

    Fulham v Wolves.

Here’s a preview from near Wolverhampton.

This is our toughest test of the season. The home leg saw us cruise to a 2nil win and totally dominate with ease.

Fulham are a different animal though now. On Wednesday against Norwich we went 2nil up and looked great for 25 minutes. Then conceded and sat back 2nd half trying to defend the 2-1 lead and making some strange decisions before we made a few big mistakes and let them equalise in the dying seconds.

We will learn from that and suspect the team will come out fighting today.

Worth noting that we are really good on Saturday 17:30 kick offs in front of Sky. Thinking Villa, Bristol City and Sheffield United as examples of this.

Of course we can win but so can Fulham. A draw seems to have a chance and I’d take a point happily.

Fulham will attack wolves and play some good football. However we are at our best against teams who attack us and try to play football and can exploit these well. The result of this is that I can see goals.

I’ll be backing a wolves win myself but I’ll recommend the following

    BTTS – 8/11 (nap) – 2 points
    Btts & Overs – 6/5 – 1 point

Another I have is a bet builder. Wolves to win and score in both halves at 9/2. But this is a bet using heart over head.

    • richb20806 6 years ago

Also to note that Ruben Neves is suspended which is a big blow to us for 2 games.

Expect the midfield to be N’diaye and Saiss. But a big part of me wants to see him start Morgan Gibbs White

    • nathanufton 6 years ago

Fulham have turned on the gas this past month, hence they’re in the mix. I totally agree with you on the btts.

    • richb20806 6 years ago

Fulham were excellent today. Worrying loss of confidence and form from wolves at the moment. Some big games left. Villa away, Cardiff Away and you guys at home.

Need to bounce back against reading next week

  27. bobreaksbookies 6 years ago

Afternoon Mr F, hope you’re doing well. Not been on much lately due to the issues on the site. Seems better today.

So, a couple of German previews to share.

    14:30 Hannover 96 vs Borussia M.Gladbach – Prediction 2.1

    Current Form
    * BMG have lost their last 5 away league matches
    * BMG failed to score in 4 of those 5 losses
    * BMG have lost their 5 of their last 6 league matches including each of the last 4
    * BMG failed to score in those 4 losses
    * Hannover have won 6 of their last 11 home league matches including 3 of the last 5
    * Hannover scored 2 goals or more in 5 of those 6 wins
    * Hannover have taken 9 points from their last 6 league games. BMG have taken 3
    * Hannover are now 1 point ahead of BMG in the Bundesliga

    Past Meetings
    * None of the last 19 meetings between these two sides finished as a draw
    * 13 of the last 17 meetings went over 2.5 goals
    * 10 of the last 12 meetings have seen the home team win
    * Hannover have won 6 of their last 9 home matches against BMG
    * Hannover won 2.0 in last seasons corresponding fixture

    Final Verdict
Ten of the last twelve meetings between these two outfits have seen the home team emerge victorious, and considering recent form, that sequence has every chance of continuing here with Hannover in much the better of form.

Die Roten have performed pretty well on their own turf this season, winning 6 of their last 11 and with BMG losing 5 of their last 6 on the road, and 6 of their last 9 at Hannover, the home win seems to be overpriced @17/10 even if these two sides are evenly matched in the league standings with just 1 point separating the two teams.

However, BMG are in really poor form, losing 4 on the spin without scoring and with Hannover performing well in recent weeks, winning 3 of their last 5 at home, I’m confident they won’t lose this one, so Hannover DNB @5/6 is my best bet from this fixture with the hosts having every chance of claiming all 3 points against a struggling Moenchengladbach (spelled it right on the first go!).

    Best Bets
    Hannover DNB @5/6 – 3 stars
    Hannover to win @17/10 – 2 stars

    14:30 Hoffenheim vs Freiburg – Prediction 2.2

    Current Form
    * Hoffenheim have seen BTTS in each of their last 7 Bundesliga matches
    * Hoffenheim have seen BTTS in 5 of their last 7 home league matches.
    * 4 of those 5 matches also went over 2.5 goals
    * 11 goals were scored in Hoffenheim’s last 2 home league matches. Both matches saw BTTS and over 2.5 goals scored
    * Hoffenheim have lost 4 of their last 7 league matches, winning just 1
    * Freiburg have seen BTTS in 5 of their last 7 Bundesliga matches
    * Freiburg have seen BTTS in each of their last 6 away Bundesliga matches
    * 5 of those 6 matches also went over 2.5 goals
    * Freiburg have conceded 2 goals or more in 12 of their last 14 away Bundesliga matches
    * Freiburg actually conceded 3 or more in 10 of those matches
    * Freiburg have lost only 1 of their last 5 away league matches. They had lost 8 of the previous 9
    * Freiburg have lost just 1 of their last 11 league matches.
    * Freiburg have taken 20 points from their last 11 league matches. They had taken only 8 points from their previous 12 league matches

    Past Meetings
    * 11 of the last 12 meetings saw BTTS
    * 7 of those 11 also went over 2.5 goals
    * Each of the last 4 meetings in Hoffenheim has seen BTTS and over 2.5 goals scored

    Final Verdict – Goals
The stats are really strong for this fixture with both past meetings and recent form suggesting we should be in for an entertaining and high-scoring contest in Hoffenheim.

Freiburg have leaked 30 goals in just 11 away matches this season but have shown some much-improved form in recent weeks, losing only 1 of their last 11 Bundesliga matches while Hoffenheim have been very much up and down themselves with BTTS the only consistency in their results.

BTTS looks very solid @4/6 in a match that I expect to go over 2.5 goals as well so the double @20/21 makes sense as well while I’m also quite tempted by the 6/5 on Freiburg not to lose with the visitors doing much better in recent away fixtures as well.

    Best Bets

    BTTS @4/6 – 4 stars
    BTTS and over 2.5 goals @20/21 – 3 stars
    Freiburg or draw @5/4 – 2.5 stars

    Premier League Preview

    17:30 Watford vs Everton – Prediction 2.1

    Current Form

    * Watford have seen BTTS in each of their last 7 home PL matches
    * 6 of those 7 also went over 2.5 goals
    * 28 goals were scored in those 7 matches
    * Watford scored 2 goals or more in 6 of their last 10 home PL matches
    * Everton have won only 1 of their last 21 away PL matches
    * Everton have seen BTTS in their last 4 PL matches
    * Everton have seen BTTS in 5 of their last 8 away PL matches
    * Everton have conceded 11 goals in their last 3 PL away matches

    Past Meetings
    * 4 of the last 5 meetings saw BTTS
    * 3 of those 4 also saw over 2.5 goals scored
    * In fact, 8 of the last 10 meetings went over 2.5 goals
    * Everton won 3.2 in this season’s first meeting between these two sides

    Final Verdict
Watford will be out for revenge when they take on Everton at Vicarage Road on Saturday with the Hornets still feeling the sting of their last match against the blue half of Merseyside, a 3.2 loss at Goodison earlier this season.

Indeed, Watford actually lead 2.0 in that fixture before coming unstuck against the Toffees who pulled off a stirrring 3.2 comeback win with all 3 goals coming in the last 20 minutes of the 90 so the home side will certainly be motivated here against a visiting team that have performed woefully in away fixtures over the last 12 months.

With Watford scorching Chelsea 4.1 in their last home contest, I fancy the home side to continue their form by scoring 2 goals or more @5/4 in a fixture that usually produces plenty of action with 8 of the last 1 seeing more than 2.5 goals scored while goals have also been a staple of recent Watford matches at Vicarage Road with an average of 4 goals scored in the Hornet’s last 7 home fixtures with all 7 seeing BTTS. With Everton also seeing BTTS in each of their last 4 matches, that outcome seems pretty likely again here @4/5 odds.

Watford are favourites for the points @23/20 and it’s easy to see why with Everton winning only 1 of their last 21 away PL matches but Watford have only won 4 of their last 15 at home so I won’t be picking a winner with goals the way to go in this live teatime kick-off from the Premier League.

    Best Bets

    BTTS @4/5 – 3 stars
    BTTS and over 2.5 goals @11/8 – 1.5 stars
Watford to score 2 or more @5/4 – 2 stars

15:00 Bournemouth vs Newcastle United – Prediction 2.2

    Current Form
    * Bournemouth have seen BTTS in 6 of their last 7 home league matches
    * Bournemouth have seen BTTS in 7 of their last 8 league matches
    * Newcastle have seen BTTS in 6 of their last 8 away league matches
    * Newcastle have seen BTTS in 4 of their last 5 league matches
    * Bournemouth have scored 2 goals or more in their last 4 home league matches
    * Bournemouth have won their last 3 home league matches
    * Bournemouth have won 4, drawn 3 and lost just 1 of their last 8 league matches
    * Bournemouth have kept only 2 clean sheets in their last 15 home league matches
    * Newcastle have scored in 7 of their last 8 away league matches
    * Newcastle have won 3, drawn 4 and lost just 2 of their last 9 league matches
    * Newcastle had lost 8 of their previous 9 PL matches
    * Newcastle have lost only 1 of their last 4 away PL matches
    * Only 3 points separate these two sides

    Past Meetings
    * Bournemouth have won 2 of the last 3 matches against Newcastle
    * Bournemouth won 1.0 at Newcastle in their most recent meeting

    Final Verdict
Bournemouth have been performing really well in front of their own support in recent weeks and will be confident of taking another 3 points when Rafa Benitez’s Newcastle arrive on the south coast this Saturday afternoon.

Still, the Geordies have been doing better recently themselves, only losing 2 of their last 9 and I expect BTTS here @4/5 odds with plenty of stats to back up the selection.

With the hosts scoring 2 or more in their last 4 home fixtures and winning each of their last 3, we can be confident of Bournemouth finding the net again but with only 2 clean sheets in their last 15 at home, Newcastle will fancy their chances of scoring as well and taking something from what should be a decent contest from Dean Court.

A home win is the most expected outcome, priced up at 21/20 but I much prefer the BTTS selection @4/5 with Newcastle taking points in their recent away matches at Palace, West Ham and Stoke while they have also managed to hit the net in 7 of their last 8 away PL matches.

    Best Bets
    BTTS @4/5 – 3 stars

    Derby team news:

2 changes Vydra out, Palmer in and Nugent out and Jerome in.

Vydra has a groin strain and I think Jerome is a better choice up front against the very misfiring Nugent.

Last time out, Derby had more than enough in the first half to of put the Leeds game to bed, but Leeds only had 3 chances at goal all game and twice went ahead. the opener for them was against the run of play and a good finish from Weimann at the end of the first half saw the rams make it all square at the interval. Leeds grew into the game 2nd half and derby eased off the gas. Leeds 2nd goal was a point blank save from carson and the rebound went straight back at the Leeds player who headed past Carson who was on the deck. It was a good reaction header. Derby made some changes, all attacking and late on Kasey Palmer – ( loan signing from Chelski ) poked in for 2-2 in injurytime.

On reflection, we deserved a goal near the end but the wasteful nature in the final 1/3rd early on left Derby open to being punished, and we were. We had around 25 shots at goal but couldn’t hit a bulls ass with a banjo. With 2 draws and a loss from our last 3 looks worrying. But we’ve won 1, drawn 2 and lost 1 in February. the last 2 teams we’ve faced and got 1 point from were teams ripe for the taking – Leeds and Sheff Wed had not won since boxing day, which I think is also the same for who we face today – Reading away from home.

Twice now from memory when we’ve played Reading in important matches we’ve lost. A 3 nil at home in the last game of the season – 2 seasons ago, saw us drop to 7th on the last game of the season and earlier this year at home when again, we owed them one, they beat us 4-2. I’m kinda worried about this one. Reading have surprised me that they’ve not had a surge up the table and are where they are. With Vydra out, but Palmer in his preferred role as the number 10, I guess we’ll see what he can do there. Pre-kick off, i’d take any result that sees Derby win, a 1 nil or a 3-2, I don’t care. We’ve been guilty of turning possible wins into draws of late, far too many of them and even though we’ve only lost 6 games all season, people are lining up in the wings waiting for Derby to cock it up again.

2 weeks ago, I had a mental calculation we’d draw this game, but with the dropped points over the past 3 matches, we really need to win this one. I’m just not confident enough to tip on it.

    Carson
    Baird/Keogh/Davies/Olsson
    Ledley/Huddlestone
    Weimann/Palmer/Lawrence
    Jerome

On a separate note, I know Burton have quite bad injury problems and although Brayford and Bent return to the Brewers side, last weeks win was terrific for them and a 2nd win on the bounce for them can really pull them out of this tailspin that is their season. BUT, I don’t think the Brewers will get the result they want today. Burton have beaten them this season already, but with 3 wins from 5, Millwall will probably get the points today. They’re a different animal to the team that lost against the Brewers early this season. Burton are unbeaten in 3 but i’m more confident on tipping Millwall for the win than trying to predict anything in the Reading/Derby game.

I hope my info somehow helps a few of you to avoid a few banana skins. I see many weeks like this all through the championship right up until May. Good luck guys.

Well my predictions today were downed by a poor wolves performance. Worst I’ve seen us play this season and hoping we bounce back next week. It’ll help us if Bristol beat Cardiff tomorrow.

Have to say that Fulham are without doubt the best team we’ve faced this season.
