FOR The third time in four attempts I managed four out of five on the moneyback acca – with the other one a 9-2 winner.
It's frustrating but at the same time that's why I'm doing them acca insurance.
Last night the line was beaten by Maccabi Tel-Aviv who were held 2-2 at home to Altach and missed some great chance to win. Zenit, Athletic Bilbao, Dynamo Kiev and Braga all did the business although the Portuguese left it late.
My focus is now on the weekend card and write-ups but I've picked out a couple of Friday tips. The both to score treble is based on form and stats – for example 11 of the last 12 meetings between old favourites Top Oss and Volendam have seen both score. I don't think I'll get time to do a write-up as I've got to finish my Daily Record pages.
In the Championship it's Bristol City v Aston Villa and Hull v Bolton with the possibility of two home wins while in League 2 Accrington travel to Notts County.
On the continent Real Sociedad face Villarreal and Celta Vigo head to Real Betis and in the Bundesliga it's Cologne v Hamburg.
Neymar and PSG, who'll face Celtic away in their opening Champions League tie, entertain St Etienne and there should be plenty of goals. Prices are poor though unless you fancy both to score at 13-10 with Marathonbet. Neymar is so hot – three goals in his first two games – he is no bigger than 4-9 at William Hill to score and 5-2 to net first.
PSG could win by any score but bookies know it. I'm not sure if they'll concede – but they did twice at home to Toulouse – so for a Super Single I'm taking a chance on PSG and both to score. PSG and over 3.5 goals is half the price.
And of course there are full cards in League 2 and the Jupiler league so expect to see goals and tips from Greg.

Just caught up on last nights posts and have to say I am sorry to hear of Alex’s woes. Betting is a gamble, and gambling is addictive if you let it. Some days I used to be chomping at the bit to get ” just another one in ” as soon as a component of a match had come in for me.
I have found that taking a step back from how we aim to achieve what we’re reaching for and going for the simple option. Small gains, STOP. Log out, sleep, work, eat. Rest your brain and turn down the pace on everything.
Some days, no matter how much stat checking you do, doesn’t matter. The occasion, the crowd, a cranky ref, even the sun shining in one teams eye or a bit of wind can alter the course of a match/result. No matter if 100% of everyone here agrees on how a match will unfold, there will always be that match that goes completely against the script.
This past week, I followed Mr F’s progress on the £10 challenge. Before a ball was kicked on my 3 games ( yes, it was a bit of an ask to pick 3 ) but I was about £140 behind Mr F yesterday, but here’s the thing: I never chased to try to catch up or overtake. I slowed down my betting.
I had already ” made my commercial decision ” and kicked my ex-bookie to the kerb, but I changed the way I bet. Yesterday I managed to limp over the line with my only none single bet of the past 6 days. A treble. But the prices were lousy, but a 1.2/1 all the same. With Maccaiba Tel Aviv drawing 2-2, I’m guessing its back to the drawing board on Mr F’s challenge.
I’ve not looked at the matches yet, I shall take a glance, but my initial thoughts are PSG and probably HULL. Bolton were totally and utterly awful at home last week to my beloved Derby. After 20 mins, Nugent was on cue for a hatrick, but we eased back around 60 mins in and although the chances came for the rams, I think Bolton took until injury-time to register their first shot at goal, for which they clawed one back. Bolton have let go 15 players, signed 7 ( 6 freebies ) and an un-disclosed fee for a 37 year old ( probably a 6-pack and a pack of 20 Bensons ).
Hull have hit a league and cup glut of 3 straight losses, so I need to maybe look in to that double a bit more. So any pointers from any Hull and/or Bolton fans would be great.
I’m happy to pootle along at a snails pace if it keeps my bet alive, and dodge a bullet on it if I need to.
PSG all day long should be dry humping St Etienne and then some. Neymar is living up to his new ” I’m the main man ” role and I saw PSG none stop attacking right up through injurytime, where they got 2 very late goals to get 5 on the board. 5-2 I think it ended. Maybe I could avoid Hull as a potential banana skin and look at the -1 A/H in the PSG game.
As always, I am grateful for any advice. But on a final note, it takes a brave person to not only recognize they have a problem, but to admit it to themselves and to everyone else. I hope Alex gets order back in his life and chooses a more simple and cheaper pastime. My friend says ” Coke ” is cheaper than gambling !! , I agree, I buy mine by the litre, and not by the gram.

I’m a bit behind this week as I had no nights off at the Record – although the upside is I now have three days in a row and good ones too.
PSG ended 6-2 with 10 men by the way and you’re right should be plenty of goals there tonight.
As far as the Betting Club goes it’s a £10 to £1000 challenge although I might cut it short if it’s heading there.
So although the £280 bet went down it’s important to remember the loss was a tenner.

General concensus from lads who’ve been to City’s game is a positive start but unlucky not to have a few more points on the board.
