IT was a day of two winners and two losers – with Swansea costing me a full house.
My first Super Single was Burnley and after they won I added the Welsh who were disappointing at home to Newcastle.
Even a draw would have landed the Top Treble but it wasn't to be but I was later consoled by a both to score double in games at Lazio and Lyon.
Well done to everyone including Jordan who posted winners.
On Monday there are a few games to look at ahead of a packed midweek card that sees the start of the Champions League group stage.
Huddersfield travel to West Ham in the Premier League and it's difficult to fancy the home men and in Spain it's Malaga v Las Palmas. Check out Joe Short's good post on stats in the Hammers game.
If forced to bet I'd go Huddersfield not to lose and Malaga to beat a side who have lost seven in a row in La Liga but the home men have started the season poorly.
There are a few other games dotted around the Continent but I've decided to make it a no-bet day. Greg though has posted Belgian goals tips so take a look.
I do though have an early Super Single for Tuesday and it's Celtic to score at home to PSG. I'll give more reasoning in my match preview but the Scots can at least hit the target and the price is decent -a best 53-50 with Marathonbet.
I've been looking at prices for the match ahead of writing my Tuesday column for the Record and for Celtic fans there are some real tempters – for example Scott Sinclair to score first at 18-1 or more realistically any time at 11-2.

One Davie Cooper would be fine. It’s not as bad as it looks – I reckon we could have taken 7pts from our first 3 games and performances were OK.
It’s virtually a new set of players in a better league so I expected a bad start and we’ve had four tough fixtures.

Mr F, I’m in total agreement about the Celtic to score bet and I’ve been trying to get a decent price on it since last week. But its no bigger than 5/6. The 53/50 odds is for Under 0.5 goals, not over. 5/6 is not bad but I was hoping for Evens. The other option is just to take BTTS at Evens on the exchange. Looks a great BTTS bet.
Btts should come in. On Sunday morning Celtic to score was 53-50 at Marathonbet but it’s now 19-25 there.
Plenty of firms opened at just above evens and some people quoted these prices on the site.

Can’t see how people are siding with Huddersfield tonight. West Ham albeit an awful start, have had all their games played away from home. This is an absolute must win game for them if Bilic is to keep his job, especially as it is against a promoted side. I think West Ham will win very conformtably and I am happy to take them on the -1 at @3/1.

It was a winning week 1 with both main bets landing for the Packers and Martellus who got his yards on the final play from scrimmage.
Tonight see’s a MNF double header in which the Saints head to Minnesota, and the newly homed LA Chargers go east to Denver for a mile high season opener. San Diego are the dogs but I feel they hold excellent value. Phillip Rivers is a top 10 QB with his main man back on the field in Keenan Allen. While there is value on the spread, I’ve noticed a fairly low line for total sacks considering the players on both sides of the defensive front on the field. Von Miller and Joey Bona are one man wrecking crews and could easily tally up this total together. Accompanied by players like Melvin Ingram and 4th year man Shaq Barrett, there is taken in both pass rush. Add to the fact that Denver and LA were both in the top 13 teams in allowing sacks last season, this could be a decent total and could go right to the death in what could be an upset. Chargers ML best @ 7/5 @ Marathon Bet.

Rookie running backs have had a good opening weekend. Kareem Hunt, Leonard Fournette and Christian Mcaffery all had big roles in the offence, and tonight we see another. Tonight he faces a Saints defence that has been improved in the off season, putting up numbers which saw them the best pre-season defence. How that translates into an away game in the regular season, time will tell, but Cook should show what his second round pick was worth.
