I WAS pleased I made Monday a no-bet day with 11 of the National League games going under 2.5 goals.
That's unusual and maybe had something to do with playing two games in three days.
Well done to Jordan who tipped overs in the only game that landed and while HullShaker would have been happy to see Fylde beat Barrow he'll have been disappointed with a shortage of goals.
Tuesday is dominated by the dreaded EFL Trophy games and I'm unlikely to go anywhere near them although these are normally good for goals.
There is one Irn-Bru Cup game between League One Ayr and League Two Montrose. Ayr were our goal buddies until they lost 2-1 at home to Arbroath at the weekend.
Boss Ian McCall gave none of his side pass marks and says he'll hand them a chance to make amends which means few changes if any.
Montrose endured a 400-mile round trip to Annan where they won 1-0 and face a 150-mile coach journey to Ayr so players could be feeling the effects.
The Links Park men are unbeaten in the league with three wins and draw but lost three out of four Betfred Cup games heavily to better opponents – 4-0 at Hibs and Arbroath and 6-0 at home to Ross County.
If Ayr play as they did in the Betfred Cup there will be only one winner with a few goals. With McCall promising to field a strong line-up they should win and Montrose could contribute to the goal count.
Ayr are 4-9 at bet365 to win and while it's risky I'm trying to recoup some of the Super Single losses with Ayr and over 2.5 match goals and Ayr and over 3.5 match goals.

NFL – Week 1
The NFL regular season is right around the corner and I have a pick for week 1.
They say never back your own team, but in the NFL you can almost always rely on Green Bay at home. We are only three weeks into the pre-season, but a few factors play into the Packers hands early. The Packers get to play their last home game at home, and will have their opener against Seattle in Lambeau too, so no long distance travel for any of the players in the green and gold over the next two weeks. Seattle however face a trip south down to Oakland, and will then travel east to Green Bay. Neither of the Seahawks or Green Bays starters will play the final pre-season game, so you can be sure the likes of Aaron Rodgers and Jordy Nelson won’t suit up. However the two road games will have an affect on the Seahawks players even though they don’t play.
Seattle also have problems of their own. Last week they lost their starting left tackle to an ACL tear and had to trade to get extra depth on the offensive line. While they still might have one of the best defenses this year, being asked to hang with Aaron Rodgers, and a whole host of receiving talent, it’s going to be tough. A home advantage is a -3 spread in the NFL regardless unless you are the Cleveland Browns. This is a nice bet for the conditions Seattle are facing coming into week 1.
