IT was a no-bet day for me on Monday so well done to any winners.
Probably the daftest winning tip came from maccathered with punts on the FA Cup draw. Newport being paired with Spurs gave him a 13-2 winner but I'd still rather do the lottery.
On Tuesday the big game is the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg between Man City v Bristol City and it's difficult to see anything but a convincing home win. I've posted a separate preview.
In Scotland there is one game in the Championship between Inverness and Falkirk and I posted Falkirk draw no bet as a Super Single on Monday.
This looks a 50-50 bet for me so Falkirk to win at 14-5 is big. They remain second bottom but Saturday's 6-1 win against Dundee United will have lifted confidence and hopefully it's not a flash in the pan.
Falkirk have a decent record at Inverness winning four out of the last six and losing just one.
There are National League games so should be tips from HullShaker and others but although I tend to ignore the EFL Trophy ties I don't see Fleetwood losing at a struggling Bury. Fleetwood draw no bet is 10-11 at William Hill but elsewhere in these ties look at goals.
As far as the non-league games go I like the look of Maidenhead v Ebbsfleet for goals. Maidstone's last four matches have been score draws including a 4-4 and two 2-2s while Ebbsfleet have netted in six of their last seven.
Atletico Madrid tackle Lleida in the Spanish Cup 4-0 up from the away leg while Valencia start 1-1 against Las Palmas at home and should win but they've been conceding goals lately so btts is a possibility.
They have a good record against Nice play Monaco in the French Cup and I'm backing both to score here if they as expected field strong line-ups. Nice won 4-0 in the league fixture but both are in decent form so should see goals at either end.
Can't say I'm over-confident about the games tonight but let's chance a 1pt treble.

Perth Glory have leaked 9 goals in the last couple of games in what is normally quite a steady backline that dont concede many at home. I believe the groin injury to key defender Shane Lowry has resulted in recent demolitions by Adelaide and Sydney by 3-0 and 6-0 scorelines and it is worth noting that the Glory have conceded 2+ in recent home defeats before Crimbo to the Victory and the Jets. The home sides defence is looking very vulnerable at the minute which can only mean good news for Ross McCormack especially, he has scored 60% of Melbourne Citys goals this season with 10 in 13 games and will relish the opportunity to add to his tally in this encounter after bagging a brace against the Phoenix in his previous game. Daniel Arzani provided both assists in that game for Ross and I wouldnt mind seeing him getting the nod here. Second highest scorer Bruce Kumau (3 goals) is on international duty so all responsibility will be on McCormack to deliver the goods. Hi gents. Already a couple of posts on this one but I’m going for goals over the scorers. Perth and Melbourne have a history for goals in Perth over the last couple of seasons, with Melbourne trending over on the road this season. Perth will be looking to get going with two losses on the bounce to a 9-0 aggregate score. They’ll be pleased with the fact that they’ve scored 3+ in five of their last seven against Melbourne. Both should score and its a decent price for the extra goal.

There’s two games tomorrow night in the A-League, as I’m likely to be really busy between work and then family commitments tomorrow night, may as well post now.
Newcastle Jets v Central Coast Mariners:
Return of the F3 derby! Newcastle are well rested heading into this, with their last result being a really solid 2-2 draw away to Sydney. They’ve been class for the bulk of the season so far, and I see no reason why they won’t deliver again, against an average looking Mariners side. Vujica is back from suspension for this one, and Patricio Rodriguez (formerly of Santos FC, and AEK Athens) may debut today.
Mariners have been woeful of late in the main, only winning 3 games out of 14 rounds so far in the league. They do miss key player Daniel De Silva in this one, as well as solid players like Glover and Buhagiar, which is going to hurt them ever further.
I can’t look past a home win here, and fancy to get himself on the score sheet yet again at decent odds.
Perth Glory v Melbourne City:
The second game sees a shaky looking Glory against… a shaky looking Melbourne City. Neither side has been convincing of late, with both leaking goals, in particular Perth who have let in 10 goals in their last 3 games… City did pull out a win finally at home against cellar dwellers Phoenix. It was a game which most folks expected them to walk easily.. and they still made really hard work of it.
However City do have one major bright spark in Ross McCormack, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him net against a woeful looking Glory defense. City do tend to score early, and against this really bad defense I’ll also have a cheeky play on them to score both halves here.

Boy did Paul Hartely need that result at the weekend. His tenure at Falkirk has been nothing short of disastrous but a 6-1 defeat of title hopefuls Dundee United is just what was needed if they are retain their place in the championship. The travel to play Inverness and whilst one freak results doesn’t make Falkirk a good team,it will have given the whole club and the players a massive confidance booster. After a tremendous clean sheet run for Inverness they have conceded in 4 consecutive games – Thata doesn’t bode well considering Falkirk have scored in 20 of their last 23 visits to the highlands.

Broke even on that Bayern match so nothing lost nothing gained.
Think there is some value in atletico Madrid. They are fielding a decent line up. Costa Torres Gabi vitolo carassco so should be goals. Even though the tie in done at 4-0 I can’t see atletico sitting back at home. Lleida have tested at least half the team from what I can gather. Half stakes as it’s a cup game but going atletico Madrid over 2.5 team goals at 1.83 and to score both halves 1.72. think there’s some value in this.

Guardiola has suggested he will name a strong line up and i reckon he will want to kill this tie off as early as possible and throw everything at Bristol City in the home leg.
