LAST season I tried to put up an early Saturday Super Single shortlist and will try to do so this season.

These are bets I've picked out from a first look at the coupon – all around evens or above – without taking into account stats and team news – so if a free bet. If anything puts you off any of these tips please comment.

Also feel free to add your own thoughts and the Super Single contest is now back.

One of these may be Saturday's Super Single – I won't decide until Friday night.

Last week six of the 10 Saturday suggestions I put and one of two for Sunday were winners. Best price was over 3.5 goals at Rangers v Hibs at 9-4 but when it came to the crunch I picked over 2.5 at 17-20.

Super Single Shortlist

Burnley to bt WBA (6-4, bet365, William Hill)

Leicester to score 2+ v Brighton (10-11, McBookie)

Bristol City to bt Millwall (1-1, Marathonbet)

Nottm Forest v Middlesbrough over 2.5 goals (13-12, 188BET)

Wolves to bt Cardiff (21-20, Stan James)

Hibs to score 3+ v Hamilton (11-5, 888sport)

Dunfermline to bt Falkirk (13-8, McBookie)

Livingston to bt St Mirren (29-20, McBookie)

Ayr to win at Stranraer (1-1, McBookie)

Peterhead to win at Stenhousemuir (23-20, McBookie)

And two for Sunday …

Spurs to bt Chelsea (11-10, bet365)

Huddersfield to bt Newcastle (7-5, William Hill)

Wigan Athletic 2+ TGs 11/8 (365) at Oldham Athletic.
Paul Cook’s arrival as manager from Portsmouth to Wigan was a real coup. Wigan’s drubbing of Bury (4-1) last weekend, indicates Cookie has the players finally believing in themselves. I’m told the team got forward in numbers and supported each other throughout the Bury game. Oldham can be a tough nut at home but this really is a “new” Wigan side we are witnessing. Certainly a new manager with forward thinking ideas.

The Leicester and Bristol city bets look solid to me.

Newcastle could be beaten – Huddersfield were impressive last week and there’s not much between the sides.
I don’t remember saying Cardiff will be a pushover but Wolves have looked good.

Martin Boyle will be a big loss to Hibs over the next 4 to 6 weeks as he has been outstanding for us but we have more than enough cover, Marvin Bartley should be back fit so that’s a plus

Must admit I don’t know anything about this Brandon Barker but my sources in Manchester tell me that he should be a class act in Scotland
I have already advised over 1.5 & 2.5 Hibs goals which should win but my only concern is I want to see how the players handle coming off the Rangers game into the Hamilton game but with Lennon in charge and the players we have I don’t think they will take any team lightly
We thoroughly deserved the win against Rangers, the Murray goal settled the players down, even before the sending off after we scored we looked by far the better team

Hibs should be OK as long as they don’t under-estimated Accies. They’re not a great side but are an established Premiership one with plenty of experience.
I watch out for them because Darian Mackinnon’s the best player I’ve seen at Clydebank as a junior side.
Had to laugh last week at the comments about his “lucky” goal against Dundee. At Clydebank he was a centre-forward and a brilliant finisher.

Absolutely Paul. Dazza was in a class of his own at the Bankies.
My mate Danny played a big part in convincing Budgie to sign him, after watching him a few times, and delving into his personal life.
Remember Budgie and Gordon telling me they literally had to force Dazza to leave the Bankies to sign for Hamilton.

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Once we cooled his temper a little he was brilliant and has done great at Accies even if he’s still going to be sent off 2 or 3 times a season.

Peterhead looks a great bet to me winning 6/7 games including beating hearts lg cup and winning away to 2-0 away to 1st division East fife challennge cup mid week, play away to stenhousemuir losing 4/5 no wins all comps including losing 2-0 at home to cove rangers challenge cup mid week. Looks nailed on to me barring a disaster.May add the peterhead win with john b’s pick for over 2.5 Hibs tgs for a great priced double.
    Good luck with your pick.

    FYLDE VS. DAGENHAM & REDBRIDGE:

Looks a cracker Mr F – BTTS up in each of both sides 4 games so far with only 1 of those 8 NOT seeing BTTS & OVER 2.5 MGS!

(Plenty of form from both in last season’s campaign to add to the current momentum)

Already have these for Saturday’s main bets:

    BTTS…8/13
    ?????

    BTTS & OVERS…EVENS
    ????

    BTTS 1ST HALF…10/3
    ?

Good pick them Hull. Daggers always good for a couple of goals, and don’t mind conceding ! John Still has a new defence this season but he’s gone on record declaring ‘issues’ with defence! Early goal could result in plenty!

    • bluemooner1894 7 years ago

I’ll be on this Hull, & I fancy a few on too, keep up the gd work everyone ?

Hibs and Aberdeen to win is evens
    add Celtic -2 for 15/4

If Sinclair starts I’m tempted with him at evens to score any time

Hibs, Aberdeen and Celtic to score 3+ each is over 11/1 not a super single but I feel has a chance

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

Even 5-0 up I’d be surprised if Rodgers starts key men – might get a better idea after tomorrow’s press conference.

A few weeks ago I tipped my nephew David Hopkirk, to come off the bench for Dunfermline and grab a goal.
He made an early appearance, due to a teammate picking up an injury, but failed to find the net.

Last Saturday, I was too busy organising my gear for a gig, and forgot to check if he was in the squad.
Needless to say, not only did he start, but managed to find the net too.

Taking no chances this week, so already on him ATGS at just over 2/1

My home town club, Ayr united. Started the season great. Won every betfred group game, top of league 1 and won 5-1 in midweek. Scoring goals for fun . they are 5/6 @ William hill away to Stranraer. Seem to be involved in a lot of score and win results. Ayr united score and win 12/5 @ William hills seems a good bet.

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

No problem with putting up Ayr – amazing run they’re on just now.
Still have a soft spot for them from the days I spent covering their games for the local paper in of my first jobs.

  11. mr boofle 7 years ago

Sorry did not see that Ayr united was already on the list

    • jos 7 years ago

Doesn’t matter if they’re on the list or not mr boofle. What’s wanted is your opinion. And yours was a good one concerning Ayr

Albion to beat Airdrieonians (23/20) my bet for Saturday.

Airdrie in disarray at moment on and off pitch –not looking good for them long term.

So going to have to back against them regardless of how indifferent Albion are

    • Mr Fixit 7 years ago

I think Albion and over 2.5 match goals could be a decent bet.
As I Clydebank fan I’m gutted at Airdrie’s “disarray”.

  13. stagger 7 years ago

Gareth Barry should make his WBA debut and after two draws in the last two Turf Moor meetings, I think Bromwich could get away with a point again. But Burnley will be on a high after last week’s result. Dyche could well name the same team.
    My BBC Predictor : 1-1

  14. pandaxone 7 years ago

    Bognor Regis v Weston-super-Mare
