AFTER landing his treble yesterday Milesey is back with 2 fancies for today at Cheltenham.

The feature race on day two of the Cheltenham Festival is of course the brilliant Queen Mother Champion Chase over two miles.

It is one of the biggest races of the season and always proves to be a massive race for punters both on and off course, the main support race on Wednesday is the three mile RSA Chase.

You can read Milesey's race-by-race guide to Day 2 by clicking on the links below;

Sprinter Sacre won the Arkle Challenge Trophy at Cheltenham last year, and is favourite for the Queen Mother Champion Chase in 2013.

The John Oaksey National Hunt Chase Challenge Cup: This is for amateur riders and I'm going for Hawkes Point. They tell me that bookies never get it wrong, but he's 16-1 from Paul Nicholls' yard. This is an absolute banker for the meeting, he won't be 16-1 on the day so get on him now – he will win.

The Weatherbys Champion Bumper: Golantilla is at 6-1, he's just changed hands – new owner, new trainer. They spent an awful lot of money on him and if he's half as good as we've been told this will be the Irish banker of the meeting.

The Sportingbet Queen Mother Champion Chase: Sprinter Sacre is one hell of a horse, but 4-1 on – that's buying money, any odds on bet you're buying money. I can't see anything beating it, he's a horse with real wow factor, just watch it and enjoy.

Milesey's TIPS

  • 2.05 THE NEW ONE
  • 2.40 BOSTON BOB

The obvious choice today will be in the 3:20 Sprinter Sacre and the odds show that as short as 1-4.

dunno where you got 16/1 it started at 8/1

  2. Charlie 11 years ago

If you’re only getting 8s gunner you’re betting in the wrong places. 15s at Betfair right now. 14s at 32 Red. 12s at Stan James etc etc..

Only place its 8s is Ladbrokes.

  7. gunner 11 years ago

it was 12/1 yesterday its still 12/1 and banker what a joker it will not win banker he says hahahahaha

  8. gunner 11 years ago

Paul Nicholls’ runners don’t have a great record in this thats why its 12/1 for a reason :)

  9. AC 11 years ago

I really fancy Emperor’s Choice in the 1.30 e/w @ 20/1 … this horse has won me alot of money in the past and I will put my faith in it again today

  10. Conor 11 years ago

Wasnt sure of it myself but ive gone with mileseys mention in te 1.30, done it as a single 15/1 last night,it was tipped on C4 racing this morning and ive seen a couple of other tips fot it online so its worth a punt.

  11. AC 11 years ago

The only thing is Coleman isn’t riding it today so I am not sure … so its not a tip to take but i’m willing to give it a go and my heart is ruling my head on this one (before anyone jumps down my throat ;) )

  12. the chief 11 years ago

Im going with the following today and am pretty confident in landing my 2nd NAP in a row, so here goes,

    2.05 Pont Alexandre
    2.40 Unioniste
    4.00 Black Thunder E/W

    NAP of the day

    3.20 Sprinter Sacre EVENS

Good luck if your having a bet

Hawkes point has drifted from 10/1 to 16/1…..was that ”absolute banker” a joke?

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Sean, we’re about to see but hate that phrase “absolute banker”.

  14. Sean Ireland 11 years ago

It was absolute something but wasnt banker.

  15. Horsing around 11 years ago

What happened with Hawkes Point? Who’s responsible for putting such tripe.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Horsing around, only Milesey can answer that but he can’t get it right in every race at Cheltenham. Did well yesterday and hopefully later today.

  16. Sean Ireland 11 years ago

Has to rate as the worst ”banker” ive ever seen

  17. Sean Ireland 11 years ago

His other tip in the 2.05 ill take that on with PONT ALEXANDRE.Cant see it being beat myself.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Sean, if it loses you’ll have to come on and give yourself a kicking. There will be Cheltenham winners and loser from Milesey, if you expect something different you’re all on the wrong planet.

  18. Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Gunner, can you ever comment without winding someone up? Let’s see your tips. He got it wrong, as did plenty others, live with it.

  19. AC 11 years ago

Chatterbox e/w 10/1 … Come on Hendo and bazza

  20. Sean Ireland 11 years ago

We all get things wrong mrfixit but you wouldnt get me saying things like ”banker of the day,Barcelona to beat Madrid……” ;)

  21. Horsing around 11 years ago

Wrong choice of words from Milesey – “he will win” is a bold claim and I along with others fell for it.

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Horsing around, that’s Milesey for you. Always confident with his tips.

  22. GM Bluth 11 years ago

Well done Milesey. It seems he does know what he’s talking about after all. Where are all the critics now?!

  23. the chief 11 years ago

Sean I thought Pont Alexandre would win too, but hopefully Ruby does the business on the next one. All those having a go at Milsey, nobody gets it right all the time, he gave a treble yesturday and oh is tip in the 2.05 just came in so come on lads give him a break

Good luck for rest of day

  24. admin 11 years ago

So… Milesey has been in touch. He can’t post comments but sent us this…

I’ll clear something up first from the 1.30, HAWKES POINT.

I’ll explain my pick for it may have let a few people down:
I have seen this horse in the Nicholls yard, it is extremely highly rated by Paul Nicholls, the record shows for itself with Ruby Walsh on board, the form over 3m heavy ground is exceptional, so the 4m trip in the race wasn’t a problem.

The horse got pulled up, the amatuer rider on board took the top of 4 fences what slipped it back in the field, it’s a amatuer on board, no Ruby, but i won’t be writing this horse off on this run.””

It was a TIP from what i know, you take it or leave it, given a better run would have been up there, you can question me all you like over the pick, would you really question Paul Nicholls or even Ruby who has won on this horse ?

THE NEW ONE ! GET INNNNNN !

  25. shadders 11 years ago

drama drama drama. I had a treble of Sacre, Bob and New One :(

  26. Sean Ireland 11 years ago

Not a day for the faves me thinks, dare i go against sprinter sacre?? sizing europe perhaps?

  27. Arnie 11 years ago

Wats with the last fence that the favs keep falling over or hitting it and losing.

  28. Arnie 11 years ago

I have decided to do the unthinkable, I am laying Sprinter Sacred. Mail De Bievre to win

    • MUZZA 11 years ago

Arnie the only way sprinter loses is if it falls………

  29. Arnie 11 years ago

Guess he didn’t fall, Lol had to make it interesting

  30. gunner 11 years ago

pendra for me at chalt at 4 :)

  31. gunner 11 years ago

mr fixit who my winding up ?? every time some one says somthing about milesey you olways reply

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Gunner, I’m here to reply. It’s my website, it’s one of the things I do. You know your stuff clearly so your comments don’t need to have a dig in them. Just give us your thoughts. No tipsters can be right all the time but we do our best and myself and Milesey feel bad when they lose.

  32. shadders 11 years ago

Anybody have an idea why Quevega from yesterday has been void by Paddy Power?

    • MUZZA 11 years ago

Shadders I was paid out on Quevega by Paddy yesterday on single & in treble so not sure – ring them?

    • MUZZA 11 years ago

Shadders – I have been reliably informed by a well known tipster beginning with M that Quevega bets for TODAY have been voided as it was entered in 2 races but ran yesterday (and WON)

  33. Ryan 11 years ago

What are people on for the 5.15?

  34. MUZZA 11 years ago

    The bus Ryan?

    Hahaha

I am on Briar Hill EW @ 25’s

  35. AC 11 years ago

From such a good day yesterday today I am having a mare!

    5.15 … The liquidator E/w at 25/1 … Please please please!

  36. MUZZA 11 years ago

RYAN I hope you got on!! 25/1 you beauty!!!!

  37. Ryan 11 years ago

MUZZA, absolutely gutted as I missed it.

    • MUZZA 11 years ago

I picked it yesterday Ryan and listed it as my bonkers bet. Knew it had a chance but thought a place realistically – had a tenner each way myself!! :-)
