IT'S been a long month and a long season and the end to both is in sight.
I've enjoyed a rollercoaster May with the Super Single and Top Treble and it was another day of ups and downs on Saturday.
I was full of confidence about the chances of Inverness, Barcelona and PSG winning their respective cup finals.
And my best tip on the Arsenal-Aston Villa FA Cup Final was Theo Walcott to score first at 8-1 and thanks to Walcott, Lionel Messi and Edinson Cavani I landed a nice 11-1 anytime scorer treble – in fact they all netted first!
PSG lifted the French Cup as expected but without all the panache and style associated with a side completing a domestic treble. Their 1-0 win wiped out 5.4pt of my Super Single profit – which as regulars know was so hard-earned last week.
St Germain not winning by at least two beat the Top Treble while Villa not scoring at Wembley downed the both to score treble on a day of near misses.
After the excitement of yesterday's cup finals the big issue to be settled on Sunday is the final Champions League place in Serie A as Napoli and Lazio meet and I've posted a separate Serie A preview featuring the big one. Napoli will go above Lazio with a win because their h2h record this season is better while the Romans need a point.
The preview also gives reasoning for my Italian goals tips and the Super Single which is both to score at Sassuolo and Genoa to win. I'm going double or quits so will either end the month in profit or level – and level isn't bad considering I was more than 20pts down this time last week.
There’s the second leg of the Premiership final between Motherwell and Rangers and there is a separate preview on that one too.
I've been dabbling with Scandinavian games and will take more interest in these over the summer. One side that's caught the eye is Stabaek and they are 9-4 at bet365 to win at Sarpsborg. Stabaek had racked up five wins in a row before drawing 3-3 at Molde while Sarpsborg have won one in four.
Since I'm in profit and it's the last day in May I'm taking that on the treble and adding Rosenborg -1 Asian Handicap at home to Tromso. It's top v second bottom which is why Rosenborg are so short. They should win by more than one but Trondheim meetings between the pair in recent seasons have been close so I'll factor in less risk by going AH -1.
Rosenborg have scored 19 in their last six but one was a defeat at Mjondalen while Tromso have lost five in a row – three one-goal defeats and a two-goal loss.
Complete the treble with Sporting to beat Braga in the Portuguese Cup Final in Lisbon. Sporting have enjoyed a decent campaign, finishing third and a massive 18 points in front of fourth-placed Braga who they beat 4-1 a couple of weeks ago.
With Porto and Benfica dominant in Portugal this is a chance for Sporting to get their hands on silverware and I don't think they'll slip up. They are 19-20 at bet365 to win in 90 minutes and 1-2 to lift the trophy.
I correctly tipped several first scorers in yesterday's cup finals and here I'd side with Islam Silmani who has need five in his last nine games. He is 5-1 at bet365 and 888sport.

At the start of day I said I’d hoped we’d have a good one and Simon and Rob didn’t disappoint (they said weekends were often good and today they weren’t wrong!)

So it’s been a very good day and takes us back into a healthy profit. The reason this plan works is because it’s about taking a long term view with disciplined staking.

Getting a little peeved of with paddy power mr f due to the fact that on the minus handicap betting they constantly put there prices up which is good for the punter but the points I have lost due to my bets being placed as late as may be an hour before kick off. Yesterday motherwell -1 4/1 now 5/1, motherwell -2 11/1 now 14/1 will price change again.
PG tips, the market dictates price changes not the bookie – if people are backing Rangers which they are then odds on Motherwell will increase. If you think you’ll get a better price nearer kick-off then wait. That’s part of the gamble.

Cast your minds back to the beginning of the season, Domenico Berardi was all the hype, scoring in every other game and getting off to a flying start. He now lies 5th in the leagues top goalscorers, banging in 14 in 30 appearances. Not bad for a 20 year old.
Berardi is in the centre of a transfer speculation, the top for English sides, Chelsea, Man City, Man Utd and more recently Arsenal, all want him to sign on the dotted line, but co owners Juventus have already got dibs on him for a bargain price of 10 Million Euro’s (Rodgers take note). The Italian FA wanna scrap the idea of co ownership, but one things likely, this could be his last game for Sassuolo.
The Neroverdi have nothing to play for but Berardi will no doubt wanna go out there and score knowing hes a wanted man, he takes the teams penalties and hes had his fair share of them.
His last home game against AC Milan see’s him score a hat trick, enforcing 11 goals in his last 17 games and scoring 8 in his last 8 home games. Bad boy-esque for a wide attacker.
The reverse fixture in January ended 3-3. Berardi grabs a brace and scored the first goal, a penalty.
Genoa have 5th place to play for and have only kept a clean sheet once in their last 11 aways. Bookies are siding Genoa to win (6/4), but I agree with them they wont keep a clean sheet (1/6)

Mr F – I was waiting on Panathinikos O 2.5 for £145 with 365. Just before half time the cash out was £114 , which I was going to take but was checking cover options first then when I went back onto my 365 page a few minutes later the score was wrongly showing 4-0 and my account showing the winnings which I withdrew. My 365 account is now showing -£145. Do I have to pay this back or stop using my account? Cheers

A bit of an insane evening of betting! It seems that anything I post on here gets beat and my personal bets that I don’t post win! I was a bit of a turncoat today and backed Motherwell to win, took sporting in play to lift the trophy plus to win on penalties, I did an over 2.5 goals in the 7 evening games in Italy that came in with the last kick! Unreal!! Had 20 in the account and I have got to 80 which is good going for a Sunday :D Why am I saying all this? Cos I’m happy, happy ha ha well done all with winners.

Thought more people would have been on it considering the number of goals in serie A recently and last game of the season. Only paid around 40/1 though which sounds good but for 8 games isn’t great. Think the prices ranged from 2/5 to 7/10

Tougher day on the corners today and we stand at -2 with 1 to play.
Lets hope it goes -1 but even at -3 I will be slightly up for the week. Any week in which you don’t lose money is a good one and anything above that is a bonus.
Just like yesterdays +6 will not make us nor will today’s -3 or -1 ruin us, its the long haul. I am looking forward to a few months down the road as long as the system keeps performing like the previous period.
David I put a little aside and joined the corners as of today . Mallorca game came in with ease the lugo game was very bad for us lots of quick corners and the Lazio game was a surprise I expected a lot of corners in that game but it never really got going from a corners point of view but like you said mate it’s all about consistency and stinking to a plan let’s hope we pull one back in Argentina and we go again tomorrow I like the principal behind this and although not the greatest start for me personally on this system it’s only day one for me and I will be interested what it looks like after 100 days as from what I can see its patience and level staking until younger to the next level so long may the tips keep coming and hope we can have good times with this over long periods :-) fingers crossed for the Argie game

Don’t really claim to be a tipster and only posted three tips so far but all have won!
Deportivo Cali look a great bet at 11/10 at home to Millonairos. They lost the first leg 3-2 but had a man sent off on 26 mins and went 1-0 down from the resulting penalty. The game finished 3-2 which was a decent result for them.
They have scored 13 goals in the last 3 home games against this opponent. They managed. 2 with 10 men away from home so can’t see them losing this game. BTTS will prob land as well but I’ll stick to the win for DC.
Just to add I got massively stung by this team a while back when they were 2-0 up against ten men. Obviously I wouldn’t rushing to back them again unless was sure they will win.
