TONIGHT it's all about the Champions League and I've posted a preview on Bayern Munich v Atletico Madrid where I tip the Spaniards to qualify.
Meanwhile, the SPFL play-offs start with Peterhead v Ayr and Clyde v Elgin and tight games are expected.
Peterhead ended the season with a run of six defeats and will be without banned top scorer Rory McAllister so I'm willing to risk Ayr at 2-1 at
William Hill. Ayr draw no bet is the safer call at 23-20 with
Ladbrokes but remember they won 4-0 at Petehead in the match McAllister saw red in a week past Saturday.
There is no doubt the Blue Toon took their foot off the gas after securing a play-off place but it's difficult to switch it back on again. Ayr's record against the Highlanders was poor until that big win – failing in seven successive meetings – but with McAllister available for the second leg at Somerset they'll be keen not to lose.
Clyde boss Barry Ferguson will have his players well prepared for a big occasion and they are 6-5 at
McBookie to take a lead into the second leg. They've beaten Elgin at home twice this season and look good to make it a hat-trick.
Last night there was a thrilling end to matches at Chelsea and Dundee. Chelsea's comeback from 2-0 down handed Leicester a fairytale title triumph and Dundee's last-gasp winner relegated Dundee United and brought up one of my Super Singles and the members only Betting Club choice – as well as Greg Browning's nap.
The other SS was a longer shot on Dundee -1 while the Top Treble was a Helsingborg goal short of landing.
I recommended three bets on the Chelsea-Spurs game and all were winners – draw,
both teams to score and Harry Kane to hit the target.
Having looked at the card in more detail my

My own personal bank builder is coming along nicely, yesterday took it from £255 to £467. Have had a few successes in the early Japanese games, still keeping it simple. yep
not exclusively 1/10’s but riding out the first goaless 12-15 mins or so that on the overs in-play market. I’ve been a bit quiet on it since xmas as I’ve had other stuff to deal with but felt it was long overdue to give it another bash. Every time it fails, I learn something new. This past failure just after xmas was about staying on script and never jumping onto a 2nd goal AND never betting on teams that have 10 mins to play with a 2 or 3 goal lead. You’d be surprised at how many times it craps out. I’ve also learned to schedule my bets with specific targeted kickoffs, if theres something in-play and I have no action that takes my fancy, I had a tendancy to still trust my instinct and steal an extra match goal without doing the necessary background stats checks. So now I JUST concentrate my main method on those games on the horizon rather than betting for the sake of it.
The 2x 11am kickoffs that interest me are Suwon Bluewings and Melbourne Victory in the AFC champions league. Past that timeframe, I have nothing specific that I am looking at, I might have a closer look as and if those 2 matches deliver.
Hey Nathan, could I just ask what it is you look at betting on on the overs market? I see you’ve said you ride out the first 12-15 minutes, then get on the overs market if still at 0-0, is this correct? Do you bet on o.0.5 or o.1.5 goals? Sorry if this is confusing just interested in what it is you look at.
@shauncpfc Always 0.5 overs, the price gains momentum, lots of it in the first 0-20 mins , the longer you leave it, the better. I do often see lots of goals in the final 20 mins of the 1st half.

I think that Atletico will not have the luck that had in the first leg. They will be much more focused tonight and will try to exploit every chance . The team prepared by Pep Guardiola now benefit from the audience that will try to push them from behind. Atletico is a team who make less problems in attack and rely too much on the defensive line. This time, it is hard to believe that Atletico will resist . I think Bayern is the better team and at the end of 90 minutes will achieve victory, but not at a difference of more then 1 goal;

Urawa will want top spot and Pohang have nothing to play for – Victory need to better Suwon’s result and will be fresh with the A-league ending prematurely for them – plus Gamba have nothing to play for.

Bayern Munich v Ath Madrid
Fantastic win for Madrid at the Vicente Calderon last week with that sublime Saul goal – Atletico come into this game as favourites to progress, and deservedly so – however, Bayern are imperious at the Allianz having won 10 from their last 11 Champions League games there. They’ve won all 6 home games in the 2015/16 campaign scoring 19 on the way so are averaging 3 goals per game – the stats would suggest Bayern will score several here and the last time Bayern failed to score at the Allianz in europe was April 2014 v Real.
Atletico should welcome back Godin tonight which will reinforce their back line even more-so than last weeks game. They can boast the best defensive record in this seasons Champions League having conceded only 5 in 11 games. I’m extremely tempted on the unders market with under 2.5 goals @ around 8/11 but I’m never keen on putting unders on – as anything can happen in a game that can screw this up such as red cards, deflections etc. Atletico don’t need to win this and will progress with any draw result or better – or even a one goal loss, as long as they score.
I can see Bayern scoring – but may take a while to break Madrid down – and if Bayern do score then Madrid would need to go for it. Like Mr F has suggested, I do think Madrid will score tonight so I’m going with:

I’m loving the Swedish games at present. Seem to be very profitable when looking at goals. In particular I have been doing Yankees and Canadian’s on first half goals. Nearly 70% of all top tier Swedish games are seeing at least 2 first half goals so far this season and at present bookies odds are not reflecting that high percentage. For example yesterday I did a Canadian on the 5 18:00 games with 4/5 winning giving you 7 x stake back. Inidividual odds at sky bet were all around the 6/4 up to 2/1 mark. Yet the bookies are pricing the btts markets and over 2.5 all way under evens so they expect goals.
Certainly seems to be a good tactic of late and certainly worth doing small stake Yankees on for big returns. I did one on Sunday with Man Utd v Leicester @ 5/2, Southampton and Man City @ 6/4, Falkenburg at 11/10 and Salzburg (who let me down) but it gave me £100 back on a £11 stake.

elander whats the format for betting using yankees and Canadian bets
Yankees for 4 games, Canadian for 5. I basically do a £1 stake on a Yankee which is £11 total (11 x £1 on all possible doubles,trebles and fourfold) and then generally a 50p or £1 stake on a Canadian which is for five matches. Total stake either £13 or £26 covering all the various permutations. Depending on odds you need at least two to come in to get money back or there abouts and anything else is profit. Best to do only on individual odds around 1.8 and higher.
I’m going to do one on the four afc games this morning for interest, though not particularly confident. as odds for first half goals all quite juicy at 2.5-3 mark. They have been pretty low scoring of late, hence prices, but maybe the trend will end today! Australian and Chinese teams are good for first half goals generally. £1 Yankee returns £160. Need 3/4 to happen realistically for nice profit.

Its a really poor card today and as such it been a real rake for 3 teams to back. In truth I would rather have left the CL game alone but really struggling for a treble. Just 4 years ago Nalchik were a in the RPL but after being relegated that season have fallen into the lower tiers, currently division 2 south. A return to the National League looks on the cards as they head the division with impressive stats. They should see off Astrakkhan today who have lost 11 in 21. Al Ittihad have been hovering above the relegation zone for some time in Egypt for for whatever reason they have hit a purple patch with 3 straight wins to boost them to 12th and today I think they will make it 4 in row as they host the bottom side with no wins and 16 defeats in 25 matches. Lastly the CL games. Normally this is a perfect scenario. When a good side loses away in a two legged match I usually back them to at least win at home. I’m not so sure about Bayern partly because of the tight Atletico defence and partly because of the mess they made against Juventus- albeit they did progress. I am backing them here though as I think they will pull out all the stops to win but not sure if that will be enough to progress.

Fantastic win for Madrid at the Vicente Calderon last week with that sublime Saul goal – Atletico come into this game as favourites to progress, and deservedly so – however, Bayern are imperious at the Allianz having won 10 from their last 11 Champions League games there. They’ve won all 6 home games in the 2015/16 campaign scoring 19 on the way so are averaging 3 goals per game – the stats would suggest Bayern will score several here and the last time Bayern failed to score at the Allianz in europe was April 2014 v Real.
Atletico should welcome back Godin tonight which will reinforce their back line even more-so than last weeks game. They can boast the best defensive record in this seasons Champions League having conceded only 5 in 11 games. I’m extremely tempted on the unders market with under 2.5 goals @ around 8/11 but I’m never keen on putting unders on – as anything can happen in a game that can screw this up such as red cards, deflections etc. Atletico don’t need to win this and will progress with any draw result or better – or even a one goal loss, as long as they score.
I can see Bayern scoring – but may take a while to break Madrid down – and if Bayern do score then Madrid would need to go for it. Like Mr F has suggested, I do think Madrid will score tonight so I’m going with:

First leg sees us in North Yorksire and it should be a belter – nice up there and posher locals call it ‘Harrowgate’…normal Northerners call it ‘Arrerget’ but that’s got bugger all to do with betting.
Flyde won the recent H2H 2-1 at their place and in the last two seasons we’ve seen the 2-1 as well as; 2-2 at Harrogate; 1-4 at Harrogate and a 1-2 at Fylde.
