      Brighton
Draw Bias: Weak – Low numbers are disadvantged at 5f often due to overcrowding on the first bend. Otherwise the track is quite fair.

Pace Bias: Strong – Hold-up horses are favoured. Although the track is predominantly downhill, a rise in gradient in the last furlong often catches front-runners out.

        Catterick

Draw Bias: Moderate – Low numbers are favoured on the 5f track. A high draw is advantageous at 6f in fields of 12 runners or more.

Pace Bias: Moderate – Prominent runners are preferred at 5f, with horses stalking the pace better at longer distances.

Got the each way money yesterday on one and the other was a non runner so small profit to play again with today.

I am going with the inform Silvesta De Sousa. He has two rides at Brighton.

    2:50 – Commanche @ 11/2
    4:25 – Fitzwilliam @ 9/2

    Each Way Double.

I see he has three rides down there, but I noticed a few of you have already posted Royal Bajan.

What I will say about Brighton is the draw is pretty much even, at any racecourse I only take into account the draw after I have looked into the horses in the race and worked out where the pace is coming from, trying to work out where horses will be positioned early and trying to work out what the pace will be like,
There are some racecourses where a low or high draw is an advantage but you still need the right horse with the right racing style.
Going back to Brighton it’s a very unusual racecourse, a unique racecourse, in a way it could be said to be similar to Epsom, but in reality it isn’t similar to any racecourse.
It has a left hand dog leg turn where the horses then come down what could be the steepest descent on a racecourse anywhere in the world, this is what catches horses and jockeys out before the uphill final furlong,

There two main points when looking for a Brighton winner,
The first is good course form, Brighton, Epsom and Cheltenham are probably the three main courses where course form is a major factor,
The second is having a small agile type of horse,
If your horse is a big galloping type then Brighton certainly isn’t for you because of the layout of the course.

I like Brighton because I like the challenge of the extra work needed when studying and because it’s a unique course it also pays to look at jockey form at the course

    Posted this last night

When Tony Martin has a bottom weight in a h’cap the alarm bells begin to ring. When money starts to come for it those bells ring a little louder. SARWISTAN opened at 20s generally and is down to 14s now with most firms but still 20s available with skybet.
Im not saying he’ll win or even be placed as he was well beaten by KING BLUE LTO and theres no reason other than better ground as to why he should turn the tables with him. But we know Martin and his plot jobs and this could be the start of another. Might be worth keeping an eye on

As low as 5/1 now. I havent backed him and i really hope he doesnt win. I would hate it if Tony Martin pulled this off

    • Profile photo of

Hi dc! Been following u a long time so cheers for the wins mate!
Why wont u have a go on this 1 mate?? Well backed

    Dellboy
I know where your coming from but its a matter of principle for me as to why i wont back it.
Time and time again Tony Martin has these gambles and more often than not they land. If this wins today he will be brought before the stewards and his excuse will be he needs better ground and he will get away with it yet again.
I could smell a rat last night as soon as i seen the racecard and he was bottom weight and when the money started to come i thought here we go again.
If you have backed it then BOL but not fir me.
Finally his horses have also been known to be touted before and then layed at the track and that could also be the case today.
