THERE were five big cup finals on Saturday and four of them went the way of the favourites.
Chelsea were the only losers against an Arsenal side that deserved to win while Celtic and PSG netted 90th-minute winners to prove cup finals don't always play to form.
I posted a moneyback fivefold that included Celtic, Chelsea, Dortmund, PSG and Benfica to win in 90 minutes so I need the Portuguese to triumph to return the stake.
Dortmund, Celtic and Atalanta gave me a winning Top Treble but the Super Single of Patrick Roberts to score was denied when the Celtic star's second-half was superbly tipped on to the post by Dons keeper Joe Lewis.
I posted a both to score Sunday treble on Friday night and have added another one.
On Sunday we have the League Two play-off final and after 11 goals in their respective semi-finals hopefully there will be plenty more when Blackpool and Exeter clash at Wembley.
There is also the second leg of the Scottish Premiership play-off final between Hamilton and Dundee United. It was 0-0 at Tannadice last week and promises to be just as tight in the return and I've posted a separate preview.
The Serie A season ends with eight games but not many issues to be settled. Empoli will stay up with a win at relegated Palermo at the expense of Crotone who are at home to Lazio.
Roma will clinch second spot ahead of Napoli if they beat Genoa while Lazio need the points to finish fourth ahead of Atalanta but all that means is one fewer Europa League qualifying round.
Elsewhere Benfica are a short price to beat Guimaraes in the Portuguese Cup Final and there are other play-offs and matches in Scandinavia to look at.

In December 2020 we sadly 
Not been the best of months back after what was a good start. I managed to stem the tide of losers for myself with a half time bet on Arsenal to win (priced at 1/1, to my surprise) but the pub was unfortunately no place to post the bet on the site. However, hopefully it signals a change in form and I can eat into the remaining monthly losses.
Two games tomorrow that stood out to me after a good check of stats and form come from Australia and Iceland.
The first gets underway very early. Deep down under, Tuggeranong welcome Canberra Olympic in one of the state leagues. Olympic’s form lines read more like baseball scorelines, accumulating 44 goals in their first 7 league games. Tuggers’ 6 games have only seen 19 goals, but their form also makes for interesting reading. Starting slow with two 1-0 defeats, they’ve gone on to score 8 in their last 4 and scored in both home games. Additionally, they beat top of the table Canberra FC 2-1 away (admittedly Canberra played most of the game with 10 men).
Canberra Olympic have seen BTTS and Win in 6 of their 7. Excluding their 3-0 defeat to table toppers Canberra, they have scored 30 in 6 games. However, what interests is that they average two goals conceded per game, too, including 8-2, 7-1 and 5-2 victories. They’ve even conceded to Monaro Panthers (3 scored, 32 conceded in 8). Tuggers’ form and Canberra’s pattern of conceding means that while this game is mostly brutally priced in terms of value, one market does appeal and that’s both sides scoring.
In Iceland, one of Hullshaker’s favourites Hafnarfjordur have started the season scoring and conceding, seeing BTTS and Overs come up in 3 of their first 4. The league cup played in February and March showed similar patterns (5 in 7). On the other hand, KR Reykjavik have seen the market come up in 8 of their last 10 in all competitions. Those two games that didn’t saw goals flow in 4-0 victories. This one looks good for goals – 13 of Reykjavik’s last 15 at home have seen BTTS and both sides have consistent scoring records at home and away respectively.

Yesterday was an up and down today, thought I finished on a high when flash scores and Twitter said Cavani had scored to being in two bets and 15pts profit but that later correctly changed to an own goal, no complaints.
My acca I posted on Monday lost with Chelsea not turning up, will get my 2.5pts back as a free bet which will go on an acca today.

The later game offers the best value in my humble opinion – I’ve written much about Hafnarfjordur’s unusual recent habit of conceding in every game.
The Icelandic giants even acquiesced with my midweek pick against minnows Sindri whom they went on to thump 6-1. In fact, FH have managed to keep only 3 clean sheets in their last 17 – many of which were against much inferior sides than tonight’s hosts KR Reykjavik.
KR have had a mixed start with the consistent aspect being btts/overs – 100% of their league openers have hit this criterion whilst 80% of their most recent 10 have done the same!
These two come up agaist each other several times each season and as recently as 5 weeks ago with KR running out 2-1 winners.

Some interesting facts about the Palermo – Empoli game tonight in Serie A from 19:45. The bookies favour the away side to win, odds currently are 6.50 / 4.33 / 1.57, but actually the odds for an away win have dropped considerably from 2.50 to what are now.
