May 27: Jordan’s Sports Tips & Chat

Jordans_SportsTips

BRITISH boxing star Kell Brook is back at welterweight for his IBF title defence against talented southpaw Errol Spence Jr tonight.

Brook stepped up to middleweight last time out to face Gennady Golovkin and suffered the first defeat of his career.

The Sheffield ace’s bid to bounce back comes in his home city and he’s 7-4 underdog at Betfair while his unbeaten American opponent is 7-11 at Marathonbet.

The fight to go the distance is 11-10 at Skybet and Paddy Power – and 4-5 at 10bet to end earlier. If you fancy Kell to thrill his home fans with a stoppage victory it’s 5-1 at Skybet and to win by decision he’s 41-10 at Marathonbet.

Elsewhere today there’s the likes of tennis, NBA and rugby league all worth a punt so feel free to add  your tips and chat.

In-play (28 min gone) Cheetahs over 3.5 tries 9/10. Cheetahs looking really good so far so worth a shot. Couple more bets for todays Rugby. Double: Will any team score 3 unanswered tries-No (Wasps/Exeter) and Munster to win at 11/10. Treble: Yellow card in the Wasps/Exeter game, Hurricanes ML, Lions ML 5/6 (bet365). Under 54.5 points in the Wasps/Exeter game 10/11. Not a fan of unders but total seems high to me for a final. Gonna wait till in-play to see how the game goes but fancy Exeter to win. Enjoy

Sunwolves/Stormers double posted yesterday downed as the Sunwolves never got in the game but the Cheetahs bet came in easily as they put them to the sword.

Strange wkend of results & disappointing in the end. Both doubles and the treble went down but luckily Exeter won & the unders total came in.

In what should be a close game, going for consistency over flair.

    IBF Welterweight World Championship:
Kell Brook vs Errol Spence Jr

Kell Brook to be knocked down 11/8 William Hill

Tonight sees the number 1 & 2 welterweights clashing for supremacy at Bramall Lane in what could be a fight of the year contender. Both boxers have pledged to go to war from the first bell so we should be treated to fireworks. Brook’s best work is fighting at distance and countering whereas Spence is more of an all rounder. Brook has publicly gone on record telling fans not to be surprised to seeing him on the canvas at some point in the fight and the way Spence fights, particularly his inside work where he really digs in shots to the body, its a likely scenario. Brook had to pull out of the Diego Chavez fight in the past with a broken rib picked up in a spar and in addition there are question marks over how well healed the broken orbital bone he received at the hands of Golovkin is. Spence has 18 KO’s from 21 fights which is a measure of his power so in the biggest fight of his career with a chance to become a title holder the knockdown is likely.

    Heavyweight Commonwealth Title
    Dave Allen vs Lenroy Thomas

Lenroy Thomas win 41/13 Marathon Bet

Lenroy Thomas has more experience in the game campaigning in America with 24 fights compared to the 13 of Dave Allen (although two fights against Whyte and Ortiz were a decent level of opposition but both losses). Lenroy Thomas is a tricky southpaw and Dave Allen shows little regard for defence often recklessly walking onto shots so that’s good enough for me at a decent price.

    Good luck all
