Doing some “goal before” singles on all of the AFC Champions League games today – courtesy of our good friend Mr Greg Browning. Last week of the 8 first legs – 2 saw a goal before 10:00 and 6 saw a goal before 20:00. Hopefully that trend continues into the 2nd legs.
Based on the above – I’m also sticking a small stake on all 4 AFC games today to see a goal in the first half @ 3.90.
I remember Greg mentioning this the other day as well so was going to do it. But have also just remembered he said that these markets only come into play when the games transfer over to the in play market and I am out most of the day so just going to jump on the all 4 to score 0.5 FHG as you have mentioned Waddo, think this has a good shout if anything like the other day. My bad run extends to 5 losing bets in a row and no sign of slowing down so I maybe have to call an end to the month soon. Today I could only find two to consider and even at that its low confidence. When it comes to two legged ties I do like backing a home side in the second leg who have lost away and that is the case with both selection today in the double. Goran Eriksson’s Shanghai side lost 1:2 in Tokyo but will be looking for a home win today as their home record is very good in general and especially in the Asian Champions League with a 100% record from 4 games including already beating a Japanese side- Gamba Osaka. The other home team I am backing is Duisburg who lost their first leg 0:2. They are fighting to stay in the German second tier and in order to do that they are firstly going to win the match and secondly going to have to win by more than a goal to have a chance. I’m not sure they are good enough for the handicap but I think they are for the win. Duisburg’s home form was decent this season and that is shown by the fact 23 of their 32 total points were earned at home. If they had not been the worst travellers in the league they would not have finished 3rd bottom. So it was no surprise they lost the first leg away. But I think they can win this home leg as they finished the season with 4 home wins from their last 5.

Three games to go in the Czech U19 league and it’s a hell-for-leather situation where possibly the bottom 7 sides could face auto or playoff relegation. 14th placed (of 20) Opava take on 2nd place Brno. Opava has done well in its last three outings with 7 points from 9 while Brno has known for a while that the game was up regarding their title hopes and has taken just 3 from 3. I’m tempted by the Opava home win going off at 13/10 (Coral) but for safety’s sake am opting for BTTS. Even though Brno know the game is up they have potted in 16 of last 17 matches. Opava will scrambling like mad to stave off the relegation playoff threat.
