BENFICA gave me a nice and easy Super Single winner when they hammered Maritimo 6-2 on the Portuguese League Cup Final.
I took Benfica -1 at just under evens and regret the fact I considered -2 but left it alone.
My both to score double was a Wiener goal short and if I'd gone over 2.5 goals it would have won.
Saturday is the main about cup finals and I've posted separate preview on Rangers v Hibs and Crystal Palace v Man United.
I've gone for both favourites but feel more confident about Rangers than Louis van Gaal's Reds.
If I get time I'll put up a preview of some of the European finals and I'll add more tips.
For now I'm hoping up a Super Single that's a double on two top teams who should complete doubles – PSG against Marseille and Juventus to beat AC Milan.

Dc united only went for it for about 5 minutes tonight, just sat back the rest of the game trying to counter with 2 slow strikers that cant hold the ball up.

I used this market on Tuesday for Man Utd vs Bournemouth and it romped home as the Red Devils accumulated 87 pts. Im going with this today as I do think Man Utd will win in regulation time. At or around the period where they played West Ham in the second leg, the level of their play seemed to have gone up a notch. This may or may not have something to do with Rooney dropping into midfield but either way the play in the final third seems a lot more fluid and they seem to be cutting through teams defences quite regularly with incisive moves. The last H2H with Palace saw them awarded 10 corners and they kept a clean sheet in a 2-0 win; realistically it could be quite similar today so the final team performance tally should exceed 65 pts.

I think today should be a close game with a few goals. There won’t really be any shocks in the Rangers team the decision to make is whether Shiels/Zelalem play in Ball place as he’s suspended. I think both teams will score and can see both Waghorn and Cummings scoring at some point. Not sure of the odds on that. It’s 1-0 to the away side at half time and given I can’t find any record of Lyon dropping any point in the league to a team other than PSG in years then ordinarily I’d be all over them to come back and win @ 10.0
However, from the stats Montpelier have clearly been on top and they are third in the league so won’t be a push over. It’s the last game of the season with Lyon 3 points clear and they have a massive goal difference advantage over PSG in second so I think they might not be trying too hard

From a Rangers fan John B your team were better on the day and deserved to win however the scenes at the end were disgraceful. I can’t remember any teams fans invading the pitch are a cup final in my lifetime (27 years). I dread to think what it will be like security wise next time we play each other especially at Easter Road.
No the hibs fans, some of them genuinely celebrating which was fine but the ones who ran straight to the rangers end and goading them and their players got a bit of a shock when the rangers fans came on and got stuck in. Hopefully everyone is ok
