THE NBA Eastern Conference Final gets under way on Wednesday night and it's uncharted territory for Atlanta Hawks who are appearing at this stage for the first time.
They have their work cut out getting the better of Cleveland Cavs who boast the inspirational LeBron James as their talisman and are 1-2 favourites at William Hill to win the best-of-seven series.

Yesterday was a day of near wins and losses in many games (apart from St Louis demolishing my Mets pick) but here’s to another day.
A quick initial look and a game that stands out to me is the Twins to beat a very under-performing Pirates on the ML or RL for the brave.
There is very little not to like with this bet and I’m baffled by the odds, @2.30. The Twins are hitting much better than them and they beat the Pirate’s Ace, Liriano last night.
Tonight Pelfry takes the mound for the Twins who is decent enough but it is Pirate’s pitcher, Locke that makes this pick for me; The Twins LOVE lefties, as they showed last night roughing up Liriano and Locke has been useless this year. It should be ugly … What am I missing here Dazzler, anyone???

I think Kyrgios has been underpriced in recent weeks since his win over Federer, he still has a lot to learn, especially on the clay. Fingers crossed for Cornet Atilla – im waiting on her for a quad, yes Keys was part of it!!

Another one I like the look of is Royals against the Reds. The ML is too low to bet on here @1.64 (but appears to me a dead cert as I will explain later). However, I know Dazzler likes to dabble in the side bets such as team totals and hits.
So… I’m thinking, Royals o4.5 runs and o9.5 hits, @2.10 and @1.95 respectively. Here’s why:
The Reds are terrible at the minute, with an out-of-his-depth manager and are torn between blowing it up and starting a re-build, or plodding on playing mediocre baseball. So many other reasons that I won’t list but nothing epitomises this more than the the useless Jason Marquis pitching tonight. Man, I have endured watching his 7 or so starts this season and he must be one of the worst starters in baseball.
Now keep in mind the above and add these extra ingredients to it:
1) The Reds bullpen is ranked 30th (out of 30) with a 5.12 ERA 2) The Royals’ hitting is 1st in batting average .287
3) The Royals’ are 3rd in runs scored (195 in 39 games).
I would be very interested to get Dazzler’s view on this. Last year I made money from Rustychest but he is not around any more. I am a self-confessed amateur when it comes to actually betting and picking out good value selections, does this look good enough odds to you mate?

Thought about Carroll but he’ll be dealt with by the king most of the night. A very tough game when you look at match ups, especially with Kyrie not fully fit. I’d slide with the Hawks but would be crazy to back against LeBron.

Only thing I can see is Locke is 4-1 against AL teams. Palfrey got knocked for 5 in his last start.

I like the two Royals bets and it’s a hitters park. The lines are high but 50 hits and 28 runs from 38 innings isn’t a good start. He is however 3-0 against the Royals.

Dazzler – I’m not sure if you have seen Marquis pitch this season but he is beyond awful. It wouldn’t surprise me if the totals were hit before the 5th inning.
I wasn’t aware of his good record against KC though (he couldn’t have played them that recently though right?) or Locke’s inter-league play record. I’m not sure if either of those stats will have any effect on what goes on tonight, or overcome the fact that both are pretty terrible this year, against some good hitters tonight.
I’m slowly being sold on the Astros but still think they are punching above their weight – They lead the MLB in Homers but are rock bottom in average. That smacks of a young team who are trying to clear the fences with every at-bat, which they are.
Just not sure how long that “plan” will continue to work and eventually their bullpen pitchers regress back to what their career stats show… BUT… despite all that, my main money-maker from last year, Dallas Keuchel, is on the mound so no way do they lose tonight, he is the real deal, great to watch.

Basketball can be a very rewarding sport to bet on but it can also be the cruellest! My only bet of the day, so went big, lost when Kuban who to all intents and purposes had lost the game managed to net a 3 pointer in the dying seconds to kill the treble. :(

365 are not usually great for value on NBA props but they are offering over 11.5 at 5/6 for Iman Shumpert which is partly better to Paddy who’s line for Shumpert stands at 12, as Jordan mentioned.

Jaseos I haven’t seen him pitch and I’m not sure when he’s played KC but it would surprise me if it was recent. KC have really kicked on from last season as well so I think it’s a good price for the line.
I’m still not convinced by Astros yet, as I don’t think they’ll sustain their current form. I think they’ve benefitted from other teams under performing too.
However Astros win 6-1 tonight so that’ll do me. Also Astros scored first and won.
Hunter carols points are set at 14.5 wich I would say is a safer option a 13 point start for him against lebron will probably mean he will need to score at least 17 points to win as lebron should be scoring around the late 20s maybe even past 30 points

I knew my boy Dallas wouldn’t let you down Dazzler, he’s a machine. Easily the most under-rated pitcher in the last 2 seasons but it seems the bookies are slowly catching up on him.
I didn’t get to see the game but saw on the in play that he managed to get out of the 4th having bases loaded and 1 out, a great quality start.
Picksix I honestly fancy a few props tonight but I’m restricting myself and sticking to one. Horford, Millsap and Teague all tempted me with their points, Teague assists, Thompson and Horford rebounds, but sticking with trusty Shumpert. Might not even post another match bet until the finals, I just need the Warriors for a big payout so its seems weird to carry on backing bets in their games.
