Meanwhile, here is McBookie.com’s Damian Walker with his weekend selections.
Damian says: “With Raith Rovers relegated last weekend Alloa and Brechin fight it out on Saturday in front of the BBC Alba cameras for a place in the Championship.
“I must admit watching the first half an hour of the first leg I thought there was only one team in it as Alloa pegged Brechin back in their own half.
“But the Hedgemen got the first goal early in the second half and the match stats show them having six shots on target to Alloa’s zero despite the Wasps edging the possession stats.
“So Alloa are going to need to turn their possession into some decent chances on Saturday if they are to get promoted and while they should be favourites with home advantage no way should they be as short as 7-10.
“The sides met four times in the league and honours were even at two wins apiece and Wednesday night merely confirmed there is little between them with just a single goal separating the two sides. So I’m not sure why Brechin should be 17-4 for this second leg.
“Brechin’s Andy Jackson has a respectable 13 league goals to his name this season and even scored in six consecutive games earlier in the season. With the Hedgemen such a huge price Jackson is 13-2 with McBookie to put Brechin well on the way with the first goal of the game.
“In the Premiership Aberdeen played well despite losing 3-1 to Celtic last Friday and the Dons confirmed that impression with a 2-1 win over Rangers at Ibrox on Wednesday.
“A day later and their opponents on Saturday, Partick Thistle, crashed to a 5-0 home defeat to Celtic. On current form I expected Aberdeen to be a lot shorter than their 17-20 quote and as a result the 7-2 about Thistle does not have me leaping to back them.
“Remember 31 points separate the two sides in the table with Thistle just 11 points off bottom. Aberdeen should really be 1-2 shots for this match and expect them to be heavily backed on the day.
“Adam Rooney ought to have plenty of opportunities to add to his goals tally and is 7-2 with McBookie to score the first goal of the game.
“Finally in the League One play-off the balance has shifted in the favour of League Two Forfar who ran out 2-1 winners in the first leg. League One Peterhead have home advantage but crucially their goal machine Rory McAllister is banned.
“McAllister has scored 16 of their 44 goals this season in the league and he will be sorely missed but defender Michael McMullin, who picked up a red in the first leg, has been cleared on appeal.
“Peterhead are 3-4 for the win which is ridiculous given they are without their leading scorer and as a result Forfar are way too big at 15-4. Jim Lister for the Loons could be the man to take them a big step closer to League One football with the opening goal and he is 13-2 with McBookie.”
“Can you find a winner this weekend!”
Jackson (Brechin) 13-2
Rooney (Aberdeen, Sun) 7-2
Lister (Forfar) 13-2
