THE Rome Masters has reached the quarter-final stage and tie of the round sees second seed Novak Djokovic take on Juan Martin Del Potro.

Djokovic suffered a painful loss to the Argentine at last summer's Olympics but has won both meetings this year and is yet to drop a set this week, with Paddy Power making him 8-15 favourite while Del Potro is 9-5 at Marathonbet.

Rafa Nadal is 4-6 favourite at Betfred to clinch a third straight title and takes on Dominic Thiem while the other matches see Alexander Zverev tackle Milos Raonic and John Isner face Marin Cilic.

In the NBA play-offs it's game two of the Eastern Conference final with Cleveland Cavs 23-50 at Marathonbet to open up a 2-0 lead at Boston Celtics, who are 9-5 at Sportingbet bet to level it.

There's also the likes of rugby and cycling worth a flutter so as usual let's hear your tips and chat.

Stade Francais v Cardiff Blues (Rugby U, 5pm)

Stade Francais Over 2.5 Team Tries @2.1

Stade have had a turbulent season off the pitch with the rumoured merger/aggressive takeover attempt with Racing. That most definitely lit a fire under their bellys and they have come from strength to strength. They’ve scored 3 tries in 3/4 of their last matches, and 4/5 of their last home matches, including against Gloucester last week and Bath a few weeks back. Long story short, they’re at home, want to end the season strongly, Cardiff haven’t got the best defence in the world, Stade have big forwards with Parisse pushing the team forward and i can see them putting Cardiff under pressure in the scrums.

Also on small stakes: Parisse to score a try anytime @3.6

Looks good mate. Although Cardiff might get off to a strong start I think Stade will come good in the end.

    • williams1993 7 years ago

      **WIN**

As i had hoped, Stade’s heavy lads piling over the line in the end and getting the bet in on 50 minutes.

GL @baggio on your bets bud, ht/ft is looking on at great odds!

Sorry, just to be clear the main bet of over 2.5 team try’s is in; Parisse to score still pending, although unlikely at this stage.

    Champions Cup Playoff

    Stade v Cardiff

Stade were impressive in their victory over Gloucester last wknd, but could this be a classic ‘after the lord mayor’s show’ situation. Stade have made 8 changes from that side and Cardiff have had a week extra rest. Fancy Cardiff to get off to strong start and put some points on the board. They have beaten their team total in 4/5 away matches.

    Top 14/Pro12

    Leinster over 20 team points
Toulon v Castres under 48.5 total points
    1.92 @ bet365

Leinster should smash Scarlets with many of the big guns on the pitch and Toulon /Castres have a history of close matches, know each other well and it is a playoff.

Well done on the Rugga picks today lads. Top stuff! Split day for me so onto tomorrow. Would love to be on the Canes/Cheetahs total but bookies caught on and is just way too high at a crazy 69.5. Just a treble for now: Exeter Chiefs +12.5, Wasps ML, Lions ML 10/11. Will look at in-play bets tomorrow.

Had a look at the B&I Lions tour and they could be absolutely shattered by the time the 1st test comes. Luckily for them the NZ Super Rugby sides won’t be at full strength but they’ll still give them a hard time. I just noticed the lines for their 1st game against the NZ Barbarians. All depends on team news and way too early to tell but gotta fancy the Baabaas at +30.5 evens (Bet365). Sure to be lots of u19 players & not much experience but it’ll be the Lions 1st game so just popping up a lil stake for now. Already on NZ -7.5 at 4/5 for the 1st Test.

5-fold posted earlier this week down. Shocking by Leinster as they lose at home to a Scarlets side playing with 14 the entire 2nd half. Credit to the Welsh side though-great heart shown and a big win in the end!
