THE Rome Masters comes to an end on Sunday with two true legends of the game vying for glory.
World No.1 and defending champ Novak Djokovic disposed of David Ferrer in straight sets in the semis and now takes on second seed Roger Federer, a 6-4 6-2 winner over Stan Wawrinka.
Federer leads the pair’s head-to-head 20-18 and won their last meeting on clay a year ago but it’s a brave man who bets against the force of nature that is Djokovic. The Serb is 3-10 favourite at Betfair who go 11-5 on Federer.
The women’s final should also be well worth watching as Carla Suarez Navarro looks to continue her impressive season with a second career title against Maria Sharapova.
The Spaniard has won just one of their four previous meetings but this is their first clash on clay and Suarez Navarro is 31-10 at BetVictor while two-time champ Sharapova is 2-7 at Ladbrokes.
In the NBA there’s a Western Conference semi-final decider with LA Clippers and Houston Rockets tied at 3-3. Clippers are 20-27 favourites at Sportingbet and Coral for victory in Houston who are priced up at 6-5 by Bet365.
There’s darts action with the Players Championship 10 in Crawley where Michael van Gerwen is 5-2 title favourite at Skybet followed by Phil Taylor (4-1, Sportingbet), Gary Anderson (6-1, Skybet) and Dave Chisnall (16-1, Sportingbet).
Also on the agenda is the likes of cycling’s Giro d’Italia and IPL cricket so post your sporting tips and chat here and good luck with your bets.
