THE Rome Masters comes to an end on Sunday with two true legends of the game vying for glory.

World No.1 and defending champ Novak Djokovic disposed of David Ferrer in straight sets in the semis and now takes on second seed Roger Federer, a 6-4 6-2 winner over Stan Wawrinka.

Federer leads the pair’s head-to-head 20-18 and won their last meeting on clay a year ago but it’s a brave man who bets against the force of nature that is Djokovic. The Serb is 3-10 favourite at Betfair who go 11-5 on Federer.

The women’s final should also be well worth watching as Carla Suarez Navarro looks to continue her impressive season with a second career title against Maria Sharapova.

The Spaniard has won just one of their four previous meetings but this is their first clash on clay and Suarez Navarro is 31-10 at BetVictor while two-time champ Sharapova is 2-7 at Ladbrokes.

In the NBA there’s a Western Conference semi-final decider with LA Clippers and Houston Rockets tied at 3-3. Clippers are 20-27 favourites at Sportingbet and Coral for victory in Houston who are priced up at 6-5 by Bet365.

There’s darts action with the Players Championship 10 in Crawley where Michael van Gerwen is 5-2 title favourite at Skybet followed by Phil Taylor (4-1, Sportingbet), Gary Anderson (6-1, Skybet) and Dave Chisnall (16-1, Sportingbet).

Also on the agenda is the likes of cycling’s Giro d’Italia and IPL cricket so post your sporting tips and chat here and good luck with your bets.

Cycling tip before I go to sleep.

    Giro d’Italia 2015 – Stage 8
ULISSI vs Gilbert @1.67 with Uni¨bet.

Not the best odds but I can’t see Ulissi finishing behind Gilbert.

I’ve underestimated Suarez Navarro so many times it’s no longer funny. Never ceases to amaze me. She looks scared to death, but keeps it in play and waits for her more talented opponents to make a mistake – which they consistently do! Her single-handed backhand is like a laser. Already taken out Bouchard, Cvitova (both of them admittedly flaky at the moment) and against all odds, overcame Halep. You’d think Sharapova has too many winning weapons, but if she is below her best CSN could surprise me yet again. On Sharapova, but think it could be very close and am prepared to be proved wrong yet again.

This page is extremely quiet today been a long time since I’ve seen it like this, anyway sonnyboy I was on navarro yesterday I thought she had lost after the 1st set and gave up looking but typically she turned the tables again. With it being the final and obviously both in very good form I’m tempted by over 20.5 games at 10/11, what do you think of this?

  4. Felix 1 year ago

I’m waiting for Roland Garros. Quite difficult to pick the tennis at the moment as you don’t really know the players mindset.

barthel has lost the plot completely. She’s like a Female Gulbis.

  5. Attila 1 year ago

Felix – so glad Barthel retired, I had her in a 7-Fold on today’s games and she was about to let it down. Got the void so all good :-)
Sonnyboy – r.e. Suarez Navarro, I’ve been following her form & games for a couple months now yet I still hesitate to bet on her. Every time she wins I think ‘next time I will’. Well, I’m not betting on today’s final, but if she wins or keeps it very close I’ll be betting on her every match going forward

  6. Attila 1 year ago

Oh, my 7-FOLD (now 6-FOLD minus Barthel) is:

    – Brengle
    – Careno-Busta
    – Vinci
    – Vesnina
    – Kokkinakis
    – Monaco

6-FOLD pays odds of $6.00 even

  7. Attila 1 year ago

Brengle off to a shocker, wouldn’t ming another retirement, lol.
What’s with women’s tennis btw – Favourites always crash n burn in a big way

  8. Felix 1 year ago

I would keep the inclusion of women tennis players in accumulators to a minimum. They’re just not consistent at all and basically anything can happen.

    Valencia Vs Bilbao (5:30pm)

I’m expecting a very open offensive game between Valencia and Bilbao. Valencia is 4th, 19-13 so far and they averaging around 162 ppg in their matches. They are playing very high tempo and there is nothing left for them to play for in the regualr season. They have already secured their playoff spot. Bilbao are 5th in standings and they are tied with Valencia, Bilbao are more of a defensive minded team who average around 155 but against Valencia they could play much more offensively. Given that this could turn in to a bit of an exhibition match I think the 159.5 points total is set too low and I’ll be hoping that both teams will want to put on a bit of a show here.

Points Total: Over 159.5 @ 10/11 Coral (medium stake) *LOST*

    Good luck!

Between my football bets and my usually reliable euro bball, I had a stinker of a day! Would seem my hangover clouded my judgement! Since there’s nothing much taking my fancy in the tennis I’ll be looking to the basketball euro league to get back on track!

    Euro Basketball League Double

    Real Madrid Vs Olympiacos

    Points Total: Under 161.5

    Fenerbahce Vs CSKA Moscow

    Points Spread: Fenerbahce +7.5

Double pays just over evens @ bet365

    Good luck!

hi guys, I’ve been too busy these last months and I have no idea of the current form of the NBA teams, I like the rockets but not gonna do anything based only on my feelings
so, any thoughts on the rockets-clippers?

  13. re-invented 1 year ago

Well the over 20.5 games came in nice and easy, had a small stake on navarro as well which gave a nice cash out after the 1st set. Think I’ll be staying away from Federer and djokovic

  14. Jordan 1 year ago

    KC Royals Over 4 Runs @ 10/11 @ WillHill – 2.5 points **LOSE**

Points staked 10.3, points returned 17.54

Won’t be on anything on the NBA tonight. Too close to call. Game 7. My advice is just watch it.

  15. Felix 1 year ago

Federer on clay isn’t as good as hard court or grass, not anymore anyway. Novak is red hot favourite for all the Slams and rightly so. He’s a machine.

  16. huggybear 1 year ago

jordan cant see how rockets are home under dogs , think im having a small fun bet and enjoy watching it , thinking are GSW are back in the driving seat.

  17. huggybear 1 year ago

gonna give blake griffin a shout

    £25 on over 12.5 rebounds
    £25 on over 26.5 points

  18. Jordan 1 year ago

Exactly why I’m leaving it alone mate. I like the Griffin rebounds and points. Good luck my friend.

    • huggybear 1 year ago

think my boys got away with one today . seem to be in cup final mode

  19. Jordan 1 year ago

Bit of a strange one mate. Would have been nice for us to win but my thoughts were exactly like Van Gaals interview before the game in which he said his goal was Champions League football, and that’s what we already had. Have to go through the playoff phase but hopefully get a decent tie and we’re in.

    • huggybear 1 year ago

utd will walk into cl proper regardless , few good signings and lvg will have turned it right round

  28. huggybear 1 year ago

griffin gets his points but misses out on the rebounds

    so break even

knew that Houston plus 2.5 was solid

looking forward to that series for sure

  29. paul 1 year ago

God bet365 said yday that rockets was on at 1 . Being waiting all night like a fool to go on them over points. Bloody nba sunday. Knew rockets would win. Still at least I have them to win whole thing at 16/1 from earlier. No chance but theyr good scorers

  30. Ellis 1 year ago

Rockets going through surely jackpot for our GSW bet. Tempted to do a slight cover as I stand to win £2,000+ and back Cleveland as a cover ……

GSW 1/7 to win series vs rockets and to be honest I don’t think any team left in the competition (barring Cleveland) can possibly win it this year, and to be honest Cleveland haven’t been that great!

  31. Jordan 1 year ago

If the Warriors get to the final Ellis, cover will be available on the opponent, which I imagine will be fairly kind to us. I am not worried 😀

  32. Juan 1 year ago

Ad Ellis anyone….any idea why Shvedova is underdog against Bertens? 2-0 up on the H2H & decent form on the clay

  33. Attila 1 year ago

My Tennis 6-Fold crashed at the start due to Brengle, I think the other 5 legs all won.
NEVER betti on Barthel or Brengle ever again, or any other women tennis players outside of a top 10 ranking…form is so erratic match by match. I mean, Brengle won a set against Suarez Navarro just the other day then she gets beat 1-6, 1-6 by someone way behind her in the rankings.
