Wawrinka has only beaten Fed twice in their 17 meetings – but he'll take great heart from the fact both those victories were on clay.

Not a very good first week until now, but we still have 14 stages to go. It’s weekend so time for a little write-up for tomorrow’s stage, you will see my picks are no random guesses  . Second stage that will finish on top of the last climb.

Contador has hurt his shoulder in stage 6 and after today’s easier stage we still haven’t seen his exact condition. Tomorrow he can’t hide and we will see what the crash has done to his shoulder. I can’t see him being 100% and I think Aru and Porte will try to take advantage of that. Even if he is ok I can’t see him beating Aru, who should be much faster in the little downhill sprint to the line.
Formolo already won a stage and will fight for every second because of his 9th place in GC. In the last (and only) summit finish he was 30 seconds faster than Monfort. Formolo finished in front of Monfort in every single stage. Not sure what Monfort’s role is in his team, but after seeing the results it looks like he has to stay close with his team leader Van den Broeck who struggles with his form.
Nice one De Niro…like the Wawrinka but he’s been all over the place but makes him good odds and can pull performances like that out the bag :)

Valencia Vs Bilbao (5:30pm)
I’m expecting a very open offensive game between Valencia and Bilbao. Valencia is 4th, 19-13 so far and they averaging around 162 ppg in their matches. They are playing very high tempo and there is nothing left for them to play for in the regualr season. They have already secured their playoff spot. Bilbao are 5th in standings and they are tied with Valencia, Bilbao are more of a defensive minded team who average around 155 but against Valencia they could play much more offensively. Given that this could turn in to a bit of an exhibition match I think the 159.5 points total is set too low and I’ll be hoping that both teams will want to put on a bit of a show here.

Before the first game of the season Brewers were actually 2nd favourite to win the NL Central.
They have got some talent but it hasn’t clicked for them. Although I didn’t watch it last night, it seems that the Brewers did click last night and Colon had a bad couple of innings, which made the difference.
The Mets had only lost 3 @ home before last night and I thought their home form would see them through.

They were just behind Cardinals.like in the odds. The only reason I know is because I went to back the Cards to win the division but they were only evens and it’s a long season to have a wedge on for evens.
