FOR a quiet night it was a good one. I studied the tips posted by guys who know more about Scandinavian football than me and posted a 7-2 Top Treble that cancelled out this month's losses.
One of my bets was both to score at Orebro and it was good to see Jordan's both to score and over 2.5 goals in the game land. Greg had two winners from four on his Belgian youth games so no harm done.
Star of the show was bullseye who landed a 32-1 accumulator on the Scandinavian games so his tips are ones to watch out for.
Tuesday's a big night north and south of the border and I've posted a separate preview on the main games. In England Man United head for West Ham knowing victory and another to home to Bournemouth on Sunday will give them a Champions League place ahead of Man City so the stakes couldn't be higher.
In United's favour is the fact they beat the Hammers in east London in the FA Cup but against them it's the final game at Upton Park before the club take up residence in the Olympic Stadium. Surely they won't go out without a bang although their display at home to Swansea at the weekend was shocking.
The Hammers also have a Europa League place in their sights so while I'm tempted to back a United win my main recommendation is both teams to score.
Biggest game in Scotland is Hibs v Falkirk in the Premiership play-off semi-final first leg while Dundee United meet Partick Thistle in a dead Premiership rubber and Clyde face Queen's Park in the battle to make League One.
Elsewhere there are a few games on the continent including Basel v Thun. Like the comment from craneguy who warns Basel players may be on the beach. More likely a lakeside mountain retreat but they won the title about three months ago so I know what he means.
There are also matches to look at in the League of Ireland and I'm kicking off my treble with champions Dundalk -1 at home to Bray. They've netted 21 in the last three meetings and should cover the -1 handicap even if they look weaker than last season.
Add both to score at West Ham and complete the treble with Dinamo Zagreb to beat Slaven Belupo in the Croatian Cup Final. Champions Dinamo have beaten their rivals four times this season including a 3-0 victory away from home last week with a weakened team.
For the Super Single I've gone Falkirk draw no bet at Hibs. As I say in my preview the last three meetings between the sides this season have been draws and I can see another.
But if Hibs lack a bit of energy after their two-legged win over Raith in the previous round the Bairns can take advantage and remember their only defeats in the Championship away from this season were at Rangers.

I’m still confident on Basel. Thun are 9 points and an inferior goal difference off 4th placed Sion for a Europa League first round spot with just four games left, so if I do have to suspect Basel’s commitment then I have to question the motivation of the visitors as well.
Both teams might not turn up and a bore draw might be played out, but as Basel is overall the much better side I’m hoping that they’ll see off Les Oberlanders like they have rather been in the habit of doing over the seasons at home. Admittedly, though, Thun still has a target whereas Basel has achieved theirs. (The 2/5 home win from Coral is thin and getting thinner – 1/2 a couple of hours ago)

Lokomotiv are in fine goalscoring form at home with an average of just under 3, Kuban average just under 2 away and in recent Lokomotiv games – they’ve tended to concede first so might be one to watch in play if they go a goal down for the double chance or next to score.

Poor run of 7 losing bets in a row and just 1 winner this month. Still time to turn it around but I’ll need to pick better than I have been. Since their Euro exit at the hands of Sevilla the Swiss champs Basel have hit a purple patch of 7 wins and 2 draws scoring 24 goals in the process. Backing them to add another win at home today against Thun who have lost half their away matches this season including a 1:3 on their last visit here. No one has won the Croatian cup more times than Dinamo Zagreb (13 times) and only 5 different sides in total have won it. I expected Rijeka to meet them there but Belupo hammered them 3:0 at home to go through 4:2 on aggregate. As good as result as that was I cannot see past the current holders lifting the trophy again. Odds are short but I don’t like handicapping a final. Belupo have never won the trophy so will be looking to make their own bit of history today but Dinamo, I feel, will be too strong. In the Austrian second tier it has become a two horse race after Innsbruck slide losing 3 of their last 4. St Polten look a good bet today while LASK really need to keep up the pressure with a win after their shock 0:2 defeat at home last time out. This league is really difficult to pick winners from and throws up some strange results but with not a lot else on I am going to take a chance on Liefering to win at Neustadt. The Salzburg side lost last time out but are in good form and after beating Innsbruck have a chance to move closer to them with a win today. Neustadt have gone 7 games without a win.

Both teams at the lower end of the U19 league with both having conceded around 2 on average per game so far. Opava can score a decent amount too though considering where they are – they actually score on average more goals than Brno at home who are in 2nd place. I can see that 6 of the last H2H games involving these two have gone over 2.5 goals – and have actually averaged 4 goals per game. The over 2.5 goals market is available now at 1.53 which is a little short for my liking so will probably either stick the over 3.0 goal line on (currently available @ 1.85) or wait for 10-15 minutes in play for the over 2.5 odds to creep up.

It’s the Hammers last game at their beloved Boleyn Ground and they’ll want to go out with a bang after 112 years of playing there. The weekend loss at Upton Park was one of only 3 blips there all season – having lost to the champions Leicester and Bournemouth early on in the campaign. Since then it’s been a bit of a fortress having won 8 and drawn 7 and scoring 31 goals on the journey. The Hammers have scored at least once in their last 15 games but are also susceptible to conceding at home too with an average of 1.33 goals going in the home teams net this season.
Despite all the bad press and negativity surrounding Van Gaal – he’s done well to get Utd up to where they are in the EPL considering the position they were in only a few months ago. If Utd win here tonight then a home win against Bournemouth will guarantee Champions League football next season and, probably on a par with that – they’ll finish above their local rivals City – so massive incentive here.
4 from the last 5 meetings between these two have seen both teams scoring. The last 8 games West Ham have been involved in have all gone over the 2.5 goal mark and with so much at stake tonight I think we’ll see a fair few goals going in. The last meeting between these two was that classic FA cup 6th round replay where we saw a storming second half and that finished 2-1 to Utd…

Watching tonight’s game in Magaluf but what I will say is that Hibs won’t be feeling the effects of the two Raith games as although it was only 2-1 on aggregate, it was the most comfortable two games I have seen
A lot has been said about 4 games in 9 days but the Hibs players are getting a day off after each game so I don’t see the problem,
Our main problem is players not taking their chances, Cummings being the main culprit
Our midfield is one of the best in Scotland so confident we will create lots of chances and I can’t see Falkirk or Kilmarnock beating us

Johnb, I thought Hibs looked tired on Sunday and I think it will catch up with them eventually.
Would be a great effort if they made it though while trying to balance the Scottish Cup Final.

Had a rough April. I just couldn’t find a groove and it seemed I was always one goal or one corner away from winning a bet.
So I start fresh with a bet on tonight’s West Ham/United Clash.
I’m playing a treble for 1 unit
In analyzing the match, it seemed that all my rationale flowed into the rationale for the other bet so I decided to simply merge the three bets.
I expect both teams to be in attack mode as maximum points are being sought by both clubs for Europe. United can usurp Man City for Champions League with all the points today and the Hammers are looking to secure their Europa League spot.
If there is one concern about the overs market in this game It’s with United not doing their share. However, I can’t see them holding the Hammers off the score sheet here. West Ham is currently on a run of 8 straight games with 3 or more total goals scored, off a 4-1 spanking at home to Swansea. The Hammers have also scored in 11 straight games now so they should be good for one (They’ve netted at least two goals in 7 of their last 8 overall) The leaky defense of late gives me confidence in United having many chances on goal and capitalizing. However I am still torn on a side, BUT I think we see at least 3 total goals in this one.
The corners bet really comes down to how I feel about how this match will play out. Statistically, West Ham averages 11.06 corners per game (10.67 at home) .. Man United is near bottom in the Premier League in average corners per match at 9.86 but their away games average 10.39 and they are 5th in the league in corners won, with just over 6 corners WON per match. Their strength is attacking down the wings so we should see a few deflected crosses especially noting the need to win the match and secure all 3 points in mind. With both teams fighting hard for the win, I expect many chances. United is averaging 10 shots per match away from home, West Ham just over 16 at home. This “should” be a highly entertaining game.
Which leads me to the third bet of the treble….
Over 4.5 cards in the match. Again coming down to how I feel this game will play out, with both teams hotly contesting the win there is sure to be some over aggressiveness in this one. Mike Dean will be officiating this match. (averaging 3.61 cards per game this season) but I expect some cards to be shown tonight for the aforementioned reasons.

dom77, the Championship season is finished and Falkirk came second ahead of Hibs.
We are now in the play-offs. First it was 4th v 3rd which Hibs won.
Now it’s 3rd v 2nd – Falkirk v Hibs. Winner of that plays Kilmarnock over 2 legs for a place in the Premiership.
I was hoping the mighty Raith were gonna pip hibs and get a crack at falkirk but it was not to be.

I share similar thoughts on the Hibs v Falkirk game and expect this to be very close tonight and on Friday having seen both teams to play against Rangers this season. In the previous two games at Easter Road this season they’ve both been draws 1-1 & 2-2. I think the safe bet tonight is both teams to score however I can see Hibs getting a narrow win. I don’t think the tiredness will come into play in this round however if Hibs do get through I think it may be noticeable similar to Rangers last season.

Going for 10 bets in a row using 1 bet per day and 2 bets per day on weekends. Usually use odds of around 1/2 but tonights bet slightly higher due to lack of odds i was looking for. After i get above a certain amount i will take back original stake and carry on using winnings to build challenge
There will be no rush with this as i aim to select decent bets with decent odds and slowly build on it. No bet will be shorter than 1/2 as it only takes longer to complete.

Both downed at the first hurdle. Tosno, the in form team of the league really shouldn’t be losing matches 3-0 to Kamaz who are already relegated and without a win in 14 but they somehow did. Estonia didn’t fare much better either with the general standard of play being extremley poor throughout with just the one goal scored; something which is always a risk with the less favoured European leagues. Hopefully tomorrow is better.
