IT'S been said often a good midweek is followed by a bad weekend – and so far that's proven to be the case.
Well done anyone who made a decent profit going by the results. In fact my best tips of the day weren't even tips – just warnings not to back German champions Bayern or Italian champions Juventus simply because their focus will be on the Champions League.
I took a chance on West Brom as the Super Single at Newcastle and while they came close to winning a draw seems to have been a fair result and leaves John Carver's side in a precarious position after wins for Leicester, Sunderland and Aston Villa – and I was so close to choosing the Foxes for the SS.
I saw a comment about the best way to cover West Brom and really the only time to do that is when they were leading – but I was at the football and in no position to offer the advice.
Ross County beat the Top Treble early with a surprise defeat to relegated St Mirren so that was 2pts lost on both my main bets – but both remain in profit this month.
I posted a both to score/over 2.5 goals treble earlier and after much thinking I've decided to go with Sevilla at Celta Vigo as the Super Single.
Sevilla did us proud with their 3-0 Europa League semi-final success against Fiorentina and I don't think they'll be focused on the second leg until Vigo is out of the way.
The club are enjoying a fantastic season and can earn a Champions League spot by winning the Europa League or by pipping Valencia to fourth spot in La Liga.
They trail their rivals by four points with a game in hand so can't afford any more slip-ups. Sevilla have lost on their last two trips to Vigo and that's a concern but they are a better side these days and are unbeaten in eight away from home in the league, winning six of them.
In all competitions their only defeat in 17 was 3-2 to Real Madrid and they face a mid-table outfit with only pride to play for. I like Sevilla at 13-8 with Coral and for the more cautious you can try Sevilla draw no bet at 4-5 with the likes of Coral and Ladbrokes. The prolific Carlos Bacca is 5-1 with Paddy Power to score first in Vigo.
Champions Chelsea at home to Liverpool and Celtic at Aberdeen are in action today and both should win if they remain motivated while Man City should relegate QPR with a win. I expect Preston to beat Chesterfield in the second leg of their League One play-off but of course a draw will send them through.
City are of course a short price as is Sergio Aguero to scoree but after five in four games I'm on the Argentine to kick off the treble with a goal.
Add Champions League chasers Wolfsburg at Paderborn and St Etienne at home to Nice. Reasoning for Wolfsburg is on the goals treble while Saints need a win as they aim for a long-awaited return to the Champions League stage.

A bit of scrumptious value here in the Italian Serie A league between Udinese vs Sampdoria (2pm).
The home team have a realistic chance of playing for nothing whereas the blucerchiati are vying to cement a place in the top 6. Samp’s lost their last 3 aways, but they did play big boys Fiorentina and Napoli, so they could be forgiven. They have arch rivals Genoa breathing down their necks with just a point separating the two, so now might be the time to get back to winning ways.
Udinese in the last 5 home games played teams above them, and with the exception of AC Milan, conceded atleast two. Despite their poor away form recently, Sampdoria have scored atleast 2 in 3 of their last 5 aways, including at Napolia and 2nd place Roma.
Head to head shows a goal fest here at Stadio Friuli, with the last result being 3-3. BTTS looks good (10/11), but digging deeper, Sampdoria need the points to get back on track and may the goals trend long continue.

Best weekend of the season so far for me. Main bet was west brom draw no bet which unfortunatly didnt come in and i cashed out after 70 mins at a 20% loss on my stake because it was clear they wasnt performing. It was 2 out of 3 for me on Saturday in the Man utd game with both teams scoring and O2.5 match goals coming in at 19/20 and 11/10. I like an anytime scorer but am doubling them up as Aguero is to short, and I like a enhanced a treble.
A win away to Man City to keep your Premier league survival hopes alive is not ideal, but that is what QPR have to do and that could lead to goals. Man City kept a clean sheet last week against Spurs and Kompany could be back, but Joe Hart made several good saves to keep the clean sheet.
QPR have to go for it as some point during the game and with defensive injuries and absentees, you have to fancy they will concede, but City team goals are pretty short, so it is both teams to score for me, which has landed in 4 out the last 5 meetings. It is 9/10 at Ladbrokes. QPR have scored in their last 10 away games leaning more weight to this bet.
If he starts I like Aguero to score, but he is no value as a single, but Charlie Austin could be worth a small punt at 4/1 Betfred. It is a small punt as I am on both teams scoring, so an Austin goal will be a nice bonus.
The Premier league Champions Chelsea are 11/10 Betfred to see off Liverpool and that looks a good bet. Liverpool need a win to have any chance of Champions league football next season and while it will be a party atmosphere at the bridge it is not often you get this price on Chelsea at home with Mourinho in charge. Liverpool have failed to score on their last 2 away games, while Chelsea have scored in every premier league home game this season and have kept 11 clean sheets out of 17 at home. If Chelsea score first then there is an easy cover on this bet.

Today, I can’t see past Celtic at 3/4. Aberdeen aren’t in as good form as earlier in the year and lost their last match against Dundee United. They have also lost all three matches against Celtic this season.
Celtic, on the other hand, haven’t lost in 12 (winning nine) and have lost once away from home (10 wins, two draws) this year and that was 1-0 against Inter.
The only thing putting me off is that the league is over and there is no pressure on the home side, who haven’t lost at home since November. However, that defeat was to Celtic and they’ve since gone 4-0 at Celtic Park.

Chelsea v Liverpool
Coming to the end of the season where results are hard to predict, the title is won but battles for champions league and European football continue along with the fight for survival. After yesterday’s poor results I am steering clear of the goals and win draw win bets in this match although many will be tempted by Chelsea’s price. I think that this could be a game for bookings. When these two sides last met in the capital cup there was no less than 9 yellow cards shown. Andrew Marriner refs today’s game and has shown 120 cards in 32 games, 7 of which were last weeks Spurs v City match.
Looking through the stats from previous meetings the obvious choice is Lucas Leiva to be booked but the bookies are onto that one and have him priced at 1/1. For Chelsea two names repeatedly show and they are John Terry 12/5 and Ivanovic 13/8, but with Liverpool with more to play for I fancy their enthusiasm to produce more cards and in the form of Jordan Henderson 13/8. This is another player whose name keeps popping up but not just for yellow cards also for goals and has been tempting at 7/1 to score anytime.

Cheers Luke mate, just a few facts for you on the Greizmann front if your in any doubt. Probably the market I will be playing as he’s always good for a goal:
In 34 league appearances this season Griezmann has managed to score 22 goals which is very impressive from the winger.
He has 8 goals in his last 9 matches in the League although has failed to score in his last 2 matches but they were against Villarreal and Bilbao both who are top half sides.
21 of his 22 goals have come against bottom sides which Levante are, so its no surprise he didnt score in his last 2.
He also has managed to score 3 braces in his last 5 league matches, including in 2 of his 3 away matches against Malaga and Deportivo.
He scored a brace in the reverse fixture earlier in the season.
He will be facing a Levante side who are 15th in the table 9-8-18 record conceding 63 goals in their 35 games (28 of which have come at home so i think their is potential for Antoine and Atletico to have a field day if they turn up.

Malaga sit 9th seven points behind the Europa League places with three games and realistically nothing to really fight for now bar league position.
Form wise Almeria have only won two of the last seven matches, drawing one and losing the rest, though the two wins and draw did come at home. Looking more into it though, on home form Almeria have only lost one in eight, winning three and drawing four.
Malaga’s form has been shocking for where they are in the league, they haven’t won a match in eight and away from home have lost the last six on a trot.
With these stats I can see Almeria being more up for it than their counterparts, I certainly can’t see them losing but more than willing to take them for the win. (19/10)

On a typical weekday or weekend, how many teams would you bet on because I think I am over doing it, having to wait for more than 10 or 15 teams to have all my bets come in and ususally they wouldn’t unless you get pretty lucky. In my opinion the gamble on Celta Vigo to beat Seville indicates Seville resting several players and conceding 4th place to Valencia. If Seville win the Europa League they qualify for the Champions League anyway along with Valencia but enter it at a higher stage.
raaljaca, so far no indication they’re doing that – also risky when they’re not guaranteed to win Europa League. Comments from Sevilla boss don’t suggest he’s going to do that either but we’ll soon see.
Wont know until sides are announced Mr F but the fact that the Europa League gives them a higher entry level than 4th place may well explain the Vigo gamble.

Celta vigo missing several key players tonight. There two main attackers larrivey and nolito. As well as radoja, alex lopez, cabral and hugo mallo and planas. celta vigo arent a big squad and thats a lot of missing players for this game.
Yes sevilla have to travel to italy next week, but they are taking a 3-0 lead and confidence is high. with valenica drawing with real yesterday, they have a chance to close the gap too.
