CHELSEA remain unbeaten in the Premier League under Guus Hiddink but too many draws have ended hopes of Champions League qualification.
So while Leicester are shoe-ins and West Ham have high hopes the Blues’ only chance of taking part next season is as holders. They kick off at Stamford Bridge trailing 2-1 to Paris St Germain and this tie is firmly in the balance.
Both sides rested key men at the weekend and dropped points at home and while big hitters such as Thiago Silva, Thiago Motta and Zlatan Ibrahimovic will return for PSG they are missing Blaise Matuidi and Marco Verratti. Chelsea will be minus John Terry but hope to recall Diego Costa.
Hiddink was no doubt happy with a 2-1 reverse in Paris and a 1-0 home win that puts them through pays 6-1 at McBookie. The Blues are 21-10 outsiders at 888sport to qualify and that will tempt many with PSG just 2-5 at McBookie and Ladbrokes.
Ibrahmovic, who has 32 goals this season, is 9-2 at Ladbrokes to score first and 6-4 to net at any time and of course he’s a man on a mission after being sent off last time he visited Stamford Bridge. Costa is 9-2 and 15-8 respectively, both at Ladbrokes.
Tonight’s other tie is also finely balanced with Zenit 1-0 down from their first leg away to Benfica. The Russians were rusty after a long lay-off but should be sharper and while they don’t have an away goals they should win on the night.
Chelsea v PSG both to score
Ibrahimovic to score
Zenit to qualify
