BRITAIN need just a point on Sunday to clinch Davis Cup victory over the USA and Andy Murray is hot favourite to get it in the opening singles match against John Isner.

The Yanks won an epic doubles five-setter on Saturday to leave them trailing 2-1 overall but they look doomed with Murray just 1-12 at William Hill to net the win needed against an opponent he's never lost to and who is 19-2 at BetVictor.

All three previous Murray v Isner matches have featured a tiebreak and it's 8-15 at Skybet for that trend to continue today.

At the Cricket World Cup, England have no room for error when they take on Bangladesh at 3.30am Tuesday morning. Eoin Morgan's men have already been hammered by Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka and another defeat tonight would end their hopes of reaching the quarter-finals.

England are 1-3 at Stanjames to eke out a victory while Bangladesh are 3-1 at Totesport.

The UK Open darts reaches a conclusion at Minehead today and first up is the quarter-finals with Phil Taylor v Peter Wright the pick of the ties.

Also on the sporting agenda is the likes of golf, rugby union, rugby league and NBA action so post your tips and chat here and good luck if you're having a bet.

Interestingly Bolelli and GOlubev have been replaced by Fognini and Nesovyesov respectively in the deciding Davis cup rubber between Italy and Khasakstan. It’s on an indoor hard court in Khazakstan. Worth keeping an eye on to see what the vibe is. Can go one of two ways with Fognini!

  15. thereddevils 9 years ago

It’s raining again in Kuala Lumpur… They stopped at break point for Dulgheru (40-ADV). Worth backing Wozniacki to win the game @2.16?

  16. Ad 9 years ago

Dno mate, it’s a bit of a coin toss. Id probably expect her to hold, but all it takes is a missed first serve and Dulgheru is favourite. Woz likes a double every now and then too and coming back to serve after a break isn’t always easy.

Two try scorer bets for me today

Ken sio 7/5 for hull kr

    Chris bridge 7/5 for Warrington

  20. leecunliffe 9 years ago

Kevin sio was prolific at parametta and has had big impact on hull kr this season with 3 tries in 3 games. I’d expect Warrington to run in a fair few tries this afternoon 6 or 7 so Chris bridge at centre will have his chance to bag one

Barrere nearly dig it again. I couldn’t follow in play to make what would have been a decent win on him, but luckily I had him on handicaps and on the match to go over games as well. Big week form him, I’ll be keeping my eyes on him.

  25. Harry 9 years ago

VP I’m surprised they didn’t try to do what they did to England, considering McCullum’s aggressive captaincy style I thought he’d have them all doing it.

Paul the problem is I think they’re both only 30 runs ahead of bell and Taylor and considering how bad the Bangladesh attack has been it’s almost impossible to cover at this point. if it were just Ali and root out ahead, the obvious cover would be to back Ali as top run scorer, but bell or Taylor could easily get a 150 tonight and change everything. I personally would wait until tomorrow and reassess it Because if he gets a big score it should be easier to cover

Ad…I watched the match! Barrere was superb again, but you know … lack of experiences and experiences…

in 3rd set he had many chances to break, but wasnt playing smart, he attacked instead of waiting for an opponent error..pity! he had 0-40 aswell and nothing…

And that Paire guy had just pure luck to break at 4-4, it was a lucky net cord and one lucky winner…

anyway, he is on my watchlist :)

Watched the Australia vs Sri Lanka last nite and it was brilliant to see Maxwell in such cracking form, I thought losing both Clarke and Smith in same over would surely slow the run rate down but it did the complete opposite. Was more than happy to see Australia clock up 46 boundaries before I went to bed, knew the bet then was a sure thing, still personally think Australia winning toss and electing to bat was crucial in this game. Pity I only elected to go half stakes :(

Jordan- what dyu reckon’s gna happen in the big FA cup game tomorrow? I’m gna say our best from this season will beat yours but that’s unlikely to happen. We couldn’t beat you at our place and not sure we’ll be any better away. Can’t see it being a great match to be honest. Hope I’m wrong!

  37. Jordan 9 years ago

I think BTTS and over 2.5 but calling a winner is almost impossible for me Ad. Both teams will score I am certain of that.

  38. Jordan 9 years ago

One thing is for certain Ad I’m watching it with a group of mates. Probably 60/40 United to Gooners so I’ll be banjaxed by HT :D

    • Ad 9 years ago

hmm, not sure about BTTS myself. The way united have been playing from an offensive point of view, and the way Arsenal often struggle to breakdown well drilled teams, I wouldn’t be that surprised if it was a 0-0!

Currently watching Souza v Mayer move very, very slowly towards their 8th hour of tennis and Im looking ahead to Tuesday. Souza is due to play Samper-Montana in Chile and there’s just no way he’s going to have recovered in time. He had a 5 set match on friday as well and it will all take its toll. He may well withdraw, which would see the stake returned, but if he turns up i plan to be on the other guy. 15/8 is the current best price on Samper Montana with PP. The only downside with that is they only pay out if a whole match is completed, and there has to be a decent chance of Souza retiring if he goes a set down (there also has to be a decent chance he will retire even if he’s winning!) For that reason i’m backing him with b e tfair who will pay out @ 6/4 if there is a retirement after a set has been completed.

  43. Ad 9 years ago

2-0 Samper Montana is just under 4/1 w b etfair and I’m taking that too.

  44. Ket 9 years ago

Wright over 3.5 180s breezed in. Nice 4/5 winner :) well done bullseye was on gilding over 2.5 as that was a steal.

For the final im on over 9.5 180s 4/6.

Also took wright at 5/1 before the semis so im hoping he continues his form

Decided on these three bets tonight for the cricket against a below par Bangladesh Bowling Attack:

    England vs Bangladesh

    Team of Top Batsmen
    England
    8/13
    PaddyPower (Mid Stakes)

    Moeen Ali
    Over 32.5 runs

    Coral (Low Stake)

    Joe Root
    Over 31.5 runs
    5/6
    Ladbrokes (Low Stake)

  48. Harry 9 years ago

Jordan if you happen to be awake between 3.30am and 10am you should check in on the England Bangladesh cricket odds. As I know you’ve backed England to be eliminated at group stage and tonight’s game is effectively the decider as to who goes through. If Bangladesh are dominating at any stage then you can basically cover your bet by finding England to win at decent odds in play. They’re 2/7 to win this game alone so can’t cover yet but in play cricket odds change vastly in a matter of minutes

  49. Jordan 9 years ago

Harry I don’t think I will be mate as work at 8 but may set an alarm. Thanks for posting I was wondering when the decider was!

  55. Harry 9 years ago

No time for a proper write up but tonight’s game is effectively two teams who have been fairly rubbish with the ball but decent with the bat. Also the adelaide oval is arguably Australia’s best batting ground with short boundaries square of the wicket. I can also see the explosive Alex hales coming in at 3 in place of the out of form Gary ballance which should help.

  62. thechief 9 years ago

Think packers contributed 100m of Suh contract to stop him stomping on Rodgers leg mate :)

    • Jordan 9 years ago

Hahaha I’m sure they’ve made a contribution but they’ll be lucky if they can pay for bog roll in the Lambeau now

Chief I will find who your NFL team is by the end of next season but you have to at least give me the conference haha

  63. thechief 9 years ago

Gore for McCoy I know a philly fan and he is not happy. He loved Fraction Jackson and if Macklin goes I think he may turn a redskin fan :)

I think nailed on cert 3 WRs are coming out the draft in the top 20, probably in the first 10, depending on what teams decide to trade up and make a move.

    • Jordan 9 years ago

Oh 100%, that Kevin White will be taking some of my money this year. Scouts comparing him to Fitzgerald but much faster!

    • Jordan 9 years ago

If I could put money on the first receiver out the draft it would be him.

Hmm not sure if you’d want to trade being an Eagles fan for a Redskin haha, RG3 needs to kick on otherwise he could be the next Tebow!

  64. V P 9 years ago

I’m sure there’s a team in NFL with nickname Chiefs so it’s probably them

    • Jordan 9 years ago

Haha no not the Kansas City Chiefs VP. Their cheerleaders are quite special but they’re not overly worth the support. Plus I’ve seen the chief post bets on them which he doesn’t on his own team, but it was a good try mate.

  65. V P 9 years ago

    Was worth a go

  66. Jordan 9 years ago

Actually it must be the Tennessee Titans. Never see him tip them :D hahaha

  67. V P 9 years ago

The only bets I looked for on NFL were your long accumulators after you got that big accumulator so I wouldn’t know what his were. Could go through every team until he confirms but probably won’t work

  68. V P 9 years ago

Not that you’d want to take that time lol

  69. Jordan 9 years ago

    • bad jasper. 9 years ago

loads of crime there judging by the arrests that john nettles look alike Bergerac used to make….

    • Jordan 9 years ago

Haha Jasper, if a tree falls down and blocks a road overnight it’s the front page of our local newspaper the next morning. It’s as boring as it gets.

    • sonnyboy 9 years ago

The Bergerac series was set in Jersey, not Guernsey.

  76. Jordan 9 years ago

Thanks Pete wasn’t quite a SS tonight as I wasn’t overly confident and 1 point perhaps makes the come true, but a win is a win. Me and Huggy are on 3 of 3 on the combined SS and will be back with one tomorrow night. Well done mate.

  77. V P 9 years ago

Looked at it on Google maps and it’s basically in France and you were right when you said little

    • Jordan 9 years ago

VP on a clear day we can see France mate. All English speaking but our road names are in French weirdly enough. Very small. 60,000 population. Can drive round it in about 45 minutes (depending on how fast over the 35mph speed limit you go haha).

  78. V P 9 years ago

It looks like a 10 minute swim so I’m not surprised. That’s interesting though, so there’s no French speaking population then

    • Jordan 9 years ago

Nope, back in the day like a century or so we used to have Guernsey-French but it died out and is only used by certain old folk but apart from that everyone speaks English. Not quite a swim but an or or so ferry to St Malo, France. Occupied in World War II by the Germans for 5 years so loads of bunkers/turrets etc which is pretty cool. Have our own pound currency but take all English and Scottish notes (no Euro’s) don’t pay VAT. Has it’s benefits but has it’s problems. I will unfortunately never be able to afford a house. A two bedroom apartment you’re looking at close to £300,000…

  79. Jordan 9 years ago

    Hour or so ferry*

  80. Jordan 9 years ago

    Even have £1 notes :)

  81. V P 9 years ago

Didn’t know there was even such a thing as one pound notes. The place sounds so interesting and different I want to see it and Ive only just found out where it is. No VAT is sweet as well. And there’s always the lottery which I’m guessing you do have or big winning bet always worth a pound on huge odds accumulator

  82. V P 9 years ago

Didn’t think places would be so expensive there though

  83. Jordan 9 years ago

VP it’s one of the safest places on earth for crime. Rarely ever any stabbings or anything like that (a friend of mine at the time murdered somebody I knew in 2006 and that was the only serious violent crime I know of and I’m 26). Craig Rouget his name. Sad really but other than that it’s a pretty safe place. I’d recommend a summer holiday to anybody who wanted to come and chill out on nice beaches and have a good night out in our town.

I’m off to bed anyway mate but glad to inform you of my island. Have a read up of it it is a really interesting place especially if you like things on the war. Night VP.
