FOURTEEN players survived the first four days and on day five there were just three winners.

I asked people to pick a double over evens on any market in any UK senior games and while most went for picks around that price MiniDuffman attempted a 260-1 correct-score double which didn't come in.

The three successful doubles came from RobRoy, Alan and Simon Wright while dave was the only person not to put up a double.

Those three are through to play on day 5 and I said a last eight would be completed by picking at random from the losers. The five lucky losers are Alanptfc, Hoosha, Miniduffman, lewispickering and RodthePod.

And if you feel like taking a risk there is a £10 free bet from BetVictor up for grabs to the person who lands the biggest winning double.

So we move on to day 6 and it gets really interesting as I introduce a knockout format all the way to the final.

The eight survivors will go head to head and the last-eight draw is:

MiniDuffman v RodthePod
Simon Wright v Hoosha
Alan v Alanptfc
lewispickering v RobRoy

Day 5 rules:
On Sunday I want everyone to pick teams to score on games that start and finish today – as many as you want but no fewer than three. Firstly, you will win the tie if all of your teams score and your opponent's don't.
If both pick an accumulated winner the person with the biggest odds will go through. If both pick losers the person with most number of teams correct will progress.
In the event of a tie I will go with toss of a coin. Anyone who doesn't post will be out.
Pick games from FA Cup, Scottish Cup and top flights in Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Holland, Portugal, Denmark, Switzerland and Austria.
BetVictor individual accumulative odds must be quoted.

Everyone is playing for a £20 free bet from BetVictor in a type of last-man standing contest – with an extra fiver if any of their winners are over evens.

Only the 8 playing this round should pick teams to score but anyone can comment on the thread.

Still can’t believe rangers couldn’t even score yesterday so today I’m playing it safe.

    Liverpool 1/20
    Hibs 1/40
    Celtic 1/16
    Bayer Leverkusen 1/8
    Ajax 1/18
    Feyenoord 1/28
    All to score

    Accumulator odds of 1.4 @betvictor

Hey MrF do you mean games that start and finish today (Sunday) as u have written Saturday

    Thanks

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

RobRoy, to be fair if it was yesterday’s games it would too easy. I’ve corrected the literal – remember that write-up was done late on after a night-out.

Hoping it means for today and having to put them up now as off out for the day, here we go:

    Bayer Leverkusen 1/9
    Feyenoord 1/28
    Ajax 1/18
    Liverpool 1/20
    Torino 2/5
    Hibs 1/50
    Celtic 1/20

    Betvictor (BV) odds = 1.91/1

I’m on the Bet Victor site looking for teams to score, and have noticed that in a few of the games, you can back one team to score but not the other. Very strange.

For eg. Napoli v Inter; It gives a price for Inter to score over 0.5 goals, but there is no option to back Napoli to score.

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

Alan, back Inter no clean sheet instead.

    St Etienne 2/11
    Torino 2/5
    Liverpool 1/20
    Montpellier 4/11

    Liverpool 1/20
    Celtic 1/18
    Feyenoord 1/25
    Bayer leverkusen 1/8
    Ajax 1/16
    Inter milan 2/5

Ive had the same problem alan its took my ages as lots of the teams i wanted didnt have the market so slim pickings!

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

lewispickering, what market are you checking. There is over 0.5 team goals or clean sheet no for the opposition.

  7. PodTheRod 9 years ago

    Yeah Alan that was annoying!

    Fourfold:
    Liverpool 1/20
    Ajax 1/18
    Bayer Leverkusen 1/9
    Lyon 2/7

    Pays 1.58

Maybe im just being blind mr f, on some games eg napoli a.madrid you could back other team over 0.5 but them two only ober 1.5, challenge is under way now anyways good luck everyone!

  9. RobRoy 9 years ago

No problem MrF just wanted to make sure :)

    Hi all

Mr F – Not sure if my emails or tweets were picked up but ive been out all day and my phone/3G would not let me post on the site.

If my earlier predictions were not picked up, then i’ll go with the below (with what games there are remaining)

    Napoli
    Ath. Madrid
    Estoril

Also, I have just trawled through Bet Victor and cannot see either 0.5TG market for these three games or even the opposition team clean sheet No (although Yes was there)

    I hope this is acceptable.

    • Alan 9 years ago

You won’t do Simon. Why would a site have two different categories for what is essentially the same bet?

They have one or the other. It’s either over 0.5 team goals (for both teams) or it’s clean sheet (yes or no)

  11. lewispickering 9 years ago

I couldnt find it either clean sheet no r f only yes i wanted utrecht napoli and a madrid but was 100% not there

    • Alan 9 years ago

Correct. It wasn’t there. I used oddschecker, and it gave me a price for one of the teams to score, but not the other.

Apparently, you also have to go on the ‘clean sheet’ market as well.

So for example; if you want to back Arsenal to score tomorrow night, you’ll first have to go on the over 0.5 goal market (it may or may not be listed) if it is, then back it, if isn’t, then go to the ‘clean sheet’ market, and do it that way. A bit long winded, but there you go.

    • Alan 9 years ago

Just make sure you leave yourself plenty of time, or the game may be over before you’ve found the category you want.

  12. MiniDuffman 9 years ago

Bit late to the party it seems and there is only three games left. No odds avaliable for Madrid or Napoli so not too much I can do with this.

    Inter 1/2
    Lyon 6/17
    Valencia 11/17

    1.92/1

  13. RobRoy 9 years ago

    6 out of 7! Hope it’s enough :)

  14. RobRoy 9 years ago

Oh no I’ve just re read the post and noticed it’s not who gets the most it’s who gets them all no matter how many u pick!

Hope Inter don’t score for u lewispickering but I’m sure they will!

  15. lewispickering 9 years ago

I didnt get liverpool robroy so youve won, well done. im frustrated that i couldnt so what i wanted which was napoli a madrid utrecht were my first 3 picks and couldnt do any of them

  16. RobRoy 9 years ago

Ah right, I get what u mean I couldn’t find Napoli and a couple others

  17. Hoosha 9 years ago

    Montpellier 4/11
    Lyon 1/4
    Inter Milan 2/5

    1.39/1 @ BetVictor

  18. lewispickering 9 years ago

Knew they would both score now haha, frustrated me this today, not about the 20 free bet just wanted to win!!
