AFTER a quiet Easter Sunday we have a Monday card similar to last Friday's.

League One, League Two and English non-league games dominate and there are also some friendly internationals to look at or ignore.

I chose not to put up anything yesterday although I was confident about Louis Oosthuizen reaching the final of the World Match Play and tipped Jason Day to beat Rory McIlroy on the members' forum.

I suggested wins for Ghana and Holland but was worried enough about both not to post on the top tips – and that concern was proved to be spot on as both were held to 0-0 draws.

Greg's picked out two tips on the Valladolid match and it was one out of two so no damage done there and Jordan again smashed it on the A League this morning with a 7-5 winner.

What looked a tough English card became an almost impossible one with Storm Katie battering the south of England so low stakes are advised today.

For my Super Single I had a short list that included Luton at Barnet, Oxford at Cambridge, Northampton at Mansfield and Wycombe at Notts County.

From those I've decide to go with Northampton who should be playing in milder weather further north and their price looks big against a side who have drawn 1-1 twice and lost 1-0 three times in five outings.

Northampton have won three of their last four and will be looking to get the title wrapped up as soon as possible.

If the first SS wins I'll add a second in the shape of Northern Ireland to beat Slovenia in tonight's Belfast friendly.

For the Top Treble I'll risk Oxford as they aim for revenge for their university's boat race defeat at the weekend. Add Cheltenham in the Conference at Wrexham in the Conference and complete with Luton draw no bet at Barnet.

As well as a goals treble I'm on a draws Trixie – and with the weather there could be a few today.

Remember to check out We Love Betting for their latest tips and video chat.

gokeadeniy, I cant advise anything else from the NAP or NB as matches as the prices would be too small but perhaps you could do the over 2.5 bet I listed, it is now effectively a double because Farnbourough vs Kingstonian has been postponed and it will pay out at 5/4. Good luck mate.

    BTTS and O2.5 mgls
Over 11 total corners (Asian corners)
    Shade over 2/1 (b365)

  18. geth125 8 years ago

Hi. Not sure if anyone can help but I closed my online account due to disapline issues. I was just wondering is it possible to bet on leauge such as the a-leauge over 2.5 goals in my local ladbrokes shop. I have been refused in the past as I was told that’s that type of bet was only available online? Any help appreciated. Thanks

    • stagger 8 years ago

geth125, all Laddys shops have at least one self-service betting terminal (FOBT) now which offer markets like you mention. Loads of markets for loads of matches. They call them the “Guru” machine, I think. Corals now have them too. It’s a bit like browsing the online markets only you do it in-shop.

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

stagger, worth pointing out though these machines do not offer Ladbrokes‘ prices so usually better than shop prices but not as good as Ladbrokes online.
All the big boys except William Hill have them now. Coral’s is good but Hills missing out with no live football or sports either.

    • stagger 8 years ago

Yes, MrF, if in shop I always use the machine, ever since I spotted a difference between a till bet (8/1) and machine odds (12/1 same selections) a huge difference. It came in as well (16 March, BTTS @ Bayern, Barca, St John, Accrington) and the manager had cancelled my till receipt so I could place it on the FOBT. It was only a fiver staked but the machine paid £65 whereas the till return would have been £44.
I only have a Coral account so the in-shop machines do me quite nicely.

Going off topic a bit,, just watching the news and fans in Thailand all kitted up in their Leicester shirts. One lad “supported” Man U for ten years, now he’s Leicester. They’re all at it – ex-Chelsea, ex-Liverpool, all sporting Foxes gear now LOL!

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

stagger, they’re Thai owned and now a success so the fans will be getting interested.

    • petet 8 years ago

      Get
In addition I know that the A League matches appear on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday coupons in William Hill. Generally that gives you o2.5 MG, BTTS and Win, BTTS at the very least. Prices are usually pretty good too.

    • Mr Fixit 8 years ago

geth125, if you have helpful shop staff as I do in my local Ladbrokes they will check online and give you the bet in shop – just ask. Sometimes they’re too bust to do it and others simply won’t bother but if you’re regular they tend to give you much better service.

      Hi Jodan

made it a strict policy to only bet when you put up a game and its been profitable so far..sadly my Nigerian bookies didn’t put up anytime goal scorer on the Australian game, but got a heavy stake on the Argentine game at odd of 2.50.
      Your the best mate!!!

    • Jordan 8 years ago

@walenchi have just seen this mate. Really sorry about the Argentina tip but you must remember I bet with points and it was not a large stake. Only go large if I go large.

Jordan, sorry about max – he has history and will have to go if he continues his nonsense.

Sods law having looked at today’s card most of the matches I’m focusing on come from the conference south!

The matches in League 1 and 2 are really tough to call! Conference south is generally a good league for goals

    Here’s what I’m on

Aaaarrrggghh you couldn’t make it up – bishop Stortford v Wealdstone was my NAP and had just typed their name for this write up to then find out its off! :(

    No NAP from me now

    BURY VS. GILLINGHAM:

Well, it’s absolutely pissing it down here and these conditions often contribute to slow, plodding wars of attrition rather than open and expansive passing games.

The Mighty (inconsistent) Shakers entertain high-flying Gillingham at Gigg this afternoon and I have the scoreline to reflect the weather…dismal.

We’ve drawn 6 of our last 15 and played out 6 0-0 draws so far this season.

The Gills have drawn 4 of their last 15 but two of those were within their last 4 games against Southend and Scunny – both similarly placed teams with regard to us.

Gillingham have a few key players out (Dack and Egan injured whilst Crofts and Williams are on Welsh international duty) but we’ve loads out – Clarke, Lainton, Tutte to name but a few. No doubt that will lend itself to us putting up an even more defensive approach than normal.

    Bets to consider…

    Draw…12/5
    (2 Points)

    Half time result Draw…11/10
    (1 Point)

    Half-time score…0-0…13/8
    (1 Point)

    Full-time score…0-0…17/2
    (0.5 Points)

    Full-time score…1-1…5/1

wato if yer on, I know you like a bet in german lower leagues any thoughts on the Offenbach game at 7.15 overs sits a very generous looking 6/5 to me ta

    • -wato- 8 years ago

Crane I did look at that game myself I can kind of see why overs is that price. My thoughts were it’s 2 teams sitting 2nd and 4th in the league and fairly evenly matched and the away side have a decent defensive record. Of course in these leagues they can go goal crazy at times I would tend to leave this one to be honest mate

  51. laskillful 8 years ago

East Thurrock vs Grays Athletic – HT result East Thurrock

    2.05/1 **NAP** WON :)

Grays Athletic are on course for their sixth defeat on the trot, definitely a team for the scrapbook.

    • laskillful 8 years ago

bullseye do u think that match still has two goals in it?

    • bullseye2 8 years ago

It’s hard to say laskillful, I dont think Grays will score but it could be a case of damage limitation for them now. I need East Thurrock to win the second half to bring in my NB but Grays conceded five against Farnborough so it could be on. Good luck with what you decide mate.

    • laskillful 8 years ago

even mersham and Leatherhead are destroying both ur trebles…

    • bullseye2 8 years ago

Mersham was the risky one at 8/13 for the win because Lewes are fighting bravely against relegation but thought with home adavantage they could just nick it. Both of those multiples were for smaller stakes anway and what with the main bet winning at a good price theres little damage done. Just need East Thurrock to put their foot on the gas now.

    • markus 8 years ago

What a rollercoaster for me. Had Luton and Northampton X2 on both. Northampton behind by 2 very early and Luton having a goal cancelled. They both finally caught up now, so just decided to call it quits. Well done on the Luton call, though!

  62. GregBrowning 8 years ago

Just the four 90 mins+ goals to bring in one of my overs trebles ( three of those at Bath city) haha!

As expected, league 1 and 2 were poor again today for goals ! Of 16 games just 5 over 2.5 goals and only 4 with BTTS

The conference south men know where the net is :)

  66. alex 8 years ago

Excuse the long post just some reasoning for the selection, hopefully no yolk so to speak. I am heading back over to Argentina and for good reason. Argentinos play Huracan and these two are at the polar opposites of the form table at the moment. Huracan have won 6/6 and Argentinos have lost 4/6 rooted bottom of group b. The home games make bleak reading for Argentions: 0-3 Velez, 1-5 Defensa y Justicia and 0-3 Atlético Tucumán. That’s 11 goals they have been hit for in 3 home games. Prior to the aforementioned games they managed a 1-1 draw against lowly Tigre. Their away form is as bad 3-2, 4-1 and 0-0 against Temperley who are as prolific as Argentinos in the goal scoring department. Huracan are arguably a notch up on their previous opponents and have been kept busy in the Copa Libertadores which might explain why they were slow out of the blocks in their first two matches. Since then they have not looked back with 5 wins on the bounce 1-0, 0-2, 1-2, 4-2 and 2-0. They have some impressive scalps in there having beaten Estudiantes 1-0 at home and Defensa y Justicia 0-2 away in that sequence. Argentinos have seen over 2.5MGs in 5/7 of their games whereas Huracan only 2/7. The last h2h between the two was almost a year ago to the day on 21st March 2015. It finishes 4-0 to Huracan with Ramon Abila helping himself to a hat trick in the process. A quick check this season will reveal he is top scorer with 7 thus far helping himself to a hat trick against Temperley and 1 v Aldosivi. These teams are rooted 10th and 11th respectively in the table. I like the look of Huracan to win which is priced at 77/50 with Marathon bets. Also Huracan to win at least one half is 83/100 with the same firm. I will be going for the away goals. A word of caution and I found this after I had written the entire preview, Huracan had gone a mammoth 31 away games without a win before winning their last 2 in a row. That explains the generous odds on offer. It does not change my thinking largely because of the home teams dire form.

Huracan Over 1.5 TGs 33/20 Corals for the brave Marathon go 28/5 for over 2.5 which might be worth a smaller bet. All prices taken earlier today but not that dissimilar right now!

    • Jordan 8 years ago

Cheers for my write up Alex. Posted Huracan Over 1.5 last night :)

      Who is MattyP?

    • alex 8 years ago

Ha Ha gl Jordan I had not seen but even better that you are on. I noticed it yesterday evening when I backed the other Primera game to see BTTS. Would love to have a goal scorer bet on this one.

    • Jordan 8 years ago

Abila by any chance? Huracan came up on my form teams last night but must have been because of the clock changes so got on the goals. Only a point for interest. Good luck mate.

    • alex 8 years ago

Yeah that’s the one he has scored 4 goals recently against lower ranked teams so I fancy it.

Sorocoba haven’t scored at home in 3 games and may well struggle again as they face a Guarani side who have hit a decent patch of form with only one loss in 6.

It doesn’t scream goals by any stretch and for any rhat back unders, this one looks to fit the criterion…evens I think?
